New Rajdouth in Milton Keynes

Went to New Raj Douth absolutely fantastic, food to die for, service above and beyond. I would recommend this place to anybody you will not be disappointed absolutely perfect.

This restaurant used to be just OK, but since it has been taken over and called the New Rajdouth, it is now the best Indian restaurant in MK. Fantastic new dishes and the old favourites are amazing, great service and we can't stop coming. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I visited tonight with our little girl. We have been meaning to go and try it for ages and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and it was such a lovely place to have a nice family meal. Our daughter had a lovely time and ate loads! Thankyou, we will definitely be returning very soon! 5 stars all round. xxxxx

Amazing food!! Came here for my bday and had a madras, was really good. The staff were lovely and they even brought out an ice cream with a sparkler!

My 8 year old grandson had a great night with me my son and a very close friend on his first lads night curry.Not only was the food top notch.as always but he was treated as every other customer and invited to choose his meal his way.Because he could not pay his own bill there was some banter about washing up, and he got to meet the backroom boys. This emphesises the New raj douth. Not only will they give you great food and service, They will strive to enhance your night.

Visited for our wedding anniversary and was absolutely stunned not only for the quality and authentic flavours of the food but literally amazed by the tentative, warm and friendly staff that make it an experience that has surpassed any expectations. SAS and his team are the most welcoming, friendly and efficient in this cosy, intimate restaurant.

One of the best places to go for a curry, the flavors explode in your mouth. I have been going for a while and will say they have not allowed there Quality to drop with the team making sure your food is as you want it and if you are not happy trying all they can to make you happy. I ordered the Lamb Tika bhuna Bulti but I like more sauce that it normally comes with and so asked and when it arrived I was overjoyed as it came with a nice sauce portion extra so I could really enjoy the flavors. I have had no issues with Ordering what I want and I'm a picky customer when it comes to Curries. I wish the team the best as they are so amazing.

As a fairly regular customer I was greeted by Muss on arrival. I am usualy a creature of habit in what I order but for a change and undecided I went with Muss' recomendation . Naga lamb,sag aloo,garlic mushroom, nan. absolutely top notch.The attention to detail that Muss and his team give to his customers, new and old is why this is my MK curry house of choice.

We ordered the set meal for 4 people with a couple of extras. The food was plentiful, fresh and tasted delicious. The owner and waiters were very friendly. When I mentioned that I was here with family to celebrate my early 70th birthday, a slice of cake arrived with sparkly candle for me. We will certainly return soon and will recommend to friends.

Another great night spent at the Raj Douth. Fabulous food and super friendly and helpful staff. We will be back very soon x

We was made to feel really welcome on our first visit. The service was 5 star and so was the food. Overall a great experience

Came here a week ago for a 25th birthday meal, we were all looking forward to a £12.95 banquet meal (as per leaflet advertised on their counter) We did have a lovely time celebrating the birthday. HOWEVER, the evening was totally spoiled because unfortunately my family member was overcharged £50+ for drinks that we didn’t have, that were incorrectly priced. Followed by an extra £2 price increase on each banquet. Making it £14.95 a banquet which is not the same as advertised. When querying about this issue, a member of staff expressed to us that there is a “cost of living crisis” and that “you can’t expect me to print hundreds more leaflets with the updated price on” - any rightful business owner would know that false advertisement is an illegal offense, and that you shouldn’t advertise your prices as they are, and then sneakily trick your customers into paying more without their knowledge. I think it was very deceitful and cheeky actually, to complain about a cost of living crisis… while knowing that they are taking extra money behind customers backs by overcharging purposely. How dare they even assume that my family member taking us out for dinner could afford the extra £50?? And think they wouldn’t get caught?! As they say “cost of living crisis” - some people don’t go out very often for dinner, especially for a whole family meal. So this definitely dampened a very lovely celebration, especially when no remorse was shown when explaining this to them. No apology, nothing. It’s like they weren’t even the ones that did it. That’s how much concern was shown… let’s see how much concern will be shown when trading standards knocks at the door 😬 If they are did this to us, how many more people are they doing this too? I’d hate to think how many……but surely they have managed to accumulate the cost of updating the leaflets now???? 🤣 - don’t own a restaurant if you can’t afford to update prices, but can afford your reputation by overcharging… or set up a go fund me 🤣 I don’t care, just don’t mug your customers off!! If you do anything with the extra money you are stealing from people, and the extra £26 you still gained from us, please just use it to update the 🤬 advertisements you use for your restaurant. Thank you.

It's a very nice restaurant. Their foods are delicious & food quality so good. One of the best Indian Restaurant I'll prefer. All of them in the restaurant are very friendly. I hope everyone will love it.

Came here and the meal was nice, what was a shame is they added extra drinks to our bill which we didn’t have, menu prices being cheaper than what appears on your bill too. The flyer on their front desk offering banquet for 12.95, is also incorrect pricing. No remorse for what they did when you confront them too. Raising a complaint with trading standards, you can not have a price on a menu and then charge more on the bill. Appalling.

Beyond disappointed! I celebrated my 25th birthday here after seeing a flyer in another takeaway business offering the £12.95 banquet. After paying and checking the receipt, I discovered that not only was the banquet now £14.95 they had charged me for 3 extra pints that we didn’t have. Also, the prices on their drinks menu shows £5.45 a pint and they charged £5.95. I know that it’s only a small difference but it adds up & resulted in me being overcharged £50+ as there was 13 of us. I called the restaurant as soon as I got home and they had no remorse. They starting saying “that’s the old menu” and just hung up. The next evening I went in to query them and they were very dismissive. They were almost shh-ing me as there were other customers at the bar. It’s worth knowing that I’m a very reasonable person, I didn’t go in shouting, I simply wanted to discuss what has happened with a manager & get my money back. The manager explained that the prices had gone up (which is fine) but this needs to be reflected on the menu. He said “ you can’t expect me to reprint all of the menus because our prices have gone up.” Yes I do as it’s the law. He finally agreed to refund the beers that we didn’t order and the extra 50p per pint that we did have. Although I still got stitched up £26 on the extra £2 per banquet. Funniest part is they still have the leaflet on the bar displaying £12.95🤣. I’m just a young lad trying to treat my family to celebrate my birthday and this happens. I will be taking this up with trading standards as it is illegal and all they had to do was apologise.

Excellent food. The best Indian food I have had in years. Full of flavour and fresh ingredients. I have only had a takeaway delivered so far ( very friendly delivery driver)but planning on booking a table. Highly recommend. Thanks Jason

Relaxed, very friendly restaurant. Full menu however we tried the banquet tonight. A taste assault, amazing fresh eastern spice experience. Traditional music enhances the ambience. Ample free parking and good wheelchair access. A first rate family night out. Did I mention it was relaxed? Take your time and savour a different pace of life.

I used to go to Raj Douth many years ago, I've recently returned and it's brilliant! Excellent, friendly service as you'd expect. Food was delicious. I had a cheeky beer while I waited. The décor has been updated since I last went and it's so much better. I can't wait to return soon.

The food was nice but did take over an hour waiting. They may have got confused as we had no spice at all. I will definitely go back to try again.

Really impressed, the food was extremely tasty, jucy and moist, I have never eaten anywhere, where the food tastes exactly the way my brain imagined it! We have just enjoyed a beautiful banquet lunch. This is our second visit to this gem of an Indian restaurant in Emerson Valley. The service was exceptional. We ate the garlic chilli chicken, chicken dhansak, keema naan, tarka dhal, sag paneer and starters. The food was delicious, not oily like some restaurants and all tasted beautiful and fresh. We were given orange segments as palate cleansers after the gorgeous meal. The owner was really lovely too and chatted to us. This restaurant is definitely worth a try, you won’t be disappointed. We will be back again.

Delicious food available to dine in or takeaway. Immaculately clean and fantastic service. We have both eaten in and has takeaway, equally good quality. Free drink at the end of the evening when we dined in which was an added bonus. Small local restaurant which is well worth patronising. We tried this restaurant as our usual Indian restaurant had dropped its standards and we weren't disappointed - give it a try, would highly recommend.

With family AND KIDS.......BIG NO NO.....This place is pathetic ..food is worst and the team is so bad that manager and waiters are so arrogant even towards ladies. I will not suggest to visit the place with family and kids. Without eating I paid the full bill and left the lace as manger threatened us to manhandle the family otherwise. We were peacefully having our dinner, which for the record was very tame as we asked for it to be spicy, until one of us noticed a hair in his naan bread. We very politely asked the waiters that there is hair and they called the manager. We only wanted to report it and give a genuine feedback so they can improve. However, when we told this to the manager, he straight up tried to flip it on us and said, “It could be your hair too.” That was one of the worst customer treatment I've ever seen. And when we told him to mind his tone, he was shouting in our face. We just paid our bill and left as soon and as calmly as we could.

A good experience, No one has a Smiling attitude. But an Indian food with English flavours.

Tried to make a telephone order for delivery. repeated my postcode and door number probably 10 times. Had to repeat my order multiple times so much so I thought they were taking the mickey. The guys English skills were practically ZERO. WHY PUT HIM ON THE PHONE to take orders. After a frustrating 10 minutes of order taking he repeated my order WRONGLY. And gave my a price of £34 for 2 mains with rice. Told him not to bother and hung up. Don t Bother.

Great curry here, very frendly staff

New Raj Douth rising from Raj Douth like New Coke rose from Coca Cola. The restaurant has had a gorgeous makeover. Unfortunately the staff and food make over not so great. Popped in to try the new menu and on ordering a takeaway felt quite pressured to order immediately even while saying I was waiting for my partner and then we would order. The Naan breads that always seemed home made and beyond amazing are now replaced with what appears to be typical Indian restaurant wholesaler fayre. The Pilau rice definitely looked like long grain and the Bombay Potato had undercooked potato (as did the Sag Aloo) and an incredibly thin sauce.. The mains (we tried two of the new dishes) were ok.. though dry chicken in one and very few pieces of lamb or chicken in either wasn't what we expected, nor to be honest did we expect the dishes to only be OK. What a loss to the town. My review of the original Raj Douth in 2018: Best Indian restaurant that we have found in Milton Keynes. A chilled relaxed atmosphere even when busy, welcoming staff and just an amazing range of flavours and dishes.

Very nice meal. We had the banquet that’s served every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday which is excellent value for money and full of flavour with loads to choose from. Cobra and king fisher on tap to wash it all down with, spot on 🍻
