Prefect! Great food, Great Prices and Great Selection. Plus, they also sell GLUTEN FREE on Friday's and Monday's! (PHONE THEM to tell them you want gluten free). Celiac's will know Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats... are useless when it comes to trying to find Gluten Free takeout, BUT, you can easily Call The Chip Shop to tell them you world like Gluten Free and Your Order Number, and they'll sort it out for you! Whenever we need to add a gluten free part to our order, we place the order through one of the delivery companies, then, as soon as the payment is conformed, we immediately telephone them, letting them know what parts of the order we need as gluten free, plus our order number, and they do it without any problems. The times we've place mixed orders (both normal and gluten free), they wrap the gluten free completely separate to everything else, with Gluten Free clearly written on the gluten free packages - they send fish and chips out in big rectangular food boxes, and add one of the traditional brown paper chip shop bags over the gluten free boxes, with gluten free written on it. I've put a lot about the gluten free because I know it's a nightmare trying to find gluten free takeout, especially chip shop stuff! But, they have a huge selection of both normal and gluten free foods. The portion sizes are good and the food really nice! Definitely recommended and we use them regularly!

The food was lovely and hot, well cooked and the curry sauce had a tasty flavour, different to the usual chip shop curry sauce!

I would like to appoligise for messing your driver around tonight. I made a massive mistake with my order and I take full responsibility. If you know exactly which driver it is please tell him from me that I am truly sorry.

First time using this place and was thoroughly impressed. Delivery driver called to state he was outside and was very friendly and upbeat. Food was also lovely. Will definitely be using again.

No salt and vinegar even though there was no option to select it or say no. Everything was just really dry and cold. Delivery took over an hour. We only had donor meat and takeaway meat and chips. Really don't expect the poor quality for the price we paid.

A good chip shop, but Atlantis in Wylde Green is better.

Top tier fish bar I've been many but this is phenomenal super amazing workers treat you with love and care, make the food with love an care and this chicken burger an chips luxury 😋 thankyou consistent super service and super food. Had an issue with the order, but the restaurant called us as soon as possible to rectify. Great quality as per usual and great service offered, this is our local chip shop and shall remain the same 👍 brilliant

absolutely disgraceful place has fallen of a cliff pizza was freezing cold was given a thin base pizza did not ask for that and they box was not sealed when delivered terrible un edible

I called this place around 8:30 on a Friday night for gluten free fish and chips, I was travelling from the other side of bham so it took me a long time to get there. But the gentleman who answered the call was so lovely he was just about to turn the fryer of for GF, but continued to still make mine. By the time I got there it was fresh ready & packed to go. I ordered a large fish and chips, mushy peas (only do curry sauce on a Monday) & chilli n mayo all over chips. It was beautiful, the fish was probably one of the best GF fish I’ve ever tried. Definitely a place for all my gluten free foodies. Thank you so much to the staff they were lovely especially the gentlemen who I think was the owner ❤️❤️❤️

Not sure what happened this time round but whoever wrapped the order gave us a standard size bag of chips rather than large. but then again it’s easier to get away with it when your customer isn’t standing in front of you. Real shame as it’s a great place.

Chips were very hard and dry. Tasted like old chips warmed up threw them away. Waste of money really disappointed

Used them for years however standards of food quality has dropped significantly. Had reason to complain and they did replace the meals however the replacements were just as bad. Result... No second or third chance going elsewhere in future

Ordered a pizza with mushrooms and instead gave a pizza with onions, I am extremely allergic to onions so therefore couldn’t eat. I tried to phone them. No answer. My partner then drove there for them to be shutting earlier then 9:30. I used this fish bar a few times and am so disappointed at this experience.

Another brilliant experience. The food arrived about 30 minutes after I placed the order which is super quick. Again the food was so fresh and realty hot. The best fish and chips I have had, the chips were golden and the batter on the cod was lovely and crispy. Will keep on ordering from here and highly recommend.

Pie was cold, pasty was soggy. chips were good, curry sauce good, pizza good, onion rings good.

This might be the best fish and chips I have had. All of the items were fresh and hot. The fish was beautiful with super crispy batter. Really big portions too. I would recommend to anyone.

This was my first order from New Oscott and it was really good. It came quicker than expected. I ordered cod and medium chips. The portion of chips was really big and obviously freshly cooked. They were lovely and golden and piping hot. The cod was not as hot and the batter was not crispy. I would have given 5 stars for the chips but the fish was a bit disappointing. I will still order from here again though.

This shop used to be the best by far in the area, but over the last year every time I have been in order has been wrong the chips are are gritty and nasty tasting but some how the prices have skyrocketed, don't mind paying when the food is good but not from there anymore... Oliver's chip shop down short heath road far better...

Dry out chips fish on hold to long very hard and dry not worth £23.19 not up usual standard a big disappointment

I did not receive the order. the app and the chippy ate both saying ot was delivered but it wasn't. I'm currently looking to get a refund.

Not quite up to usual standards unfortunately. Lovely fish as normal but chips very hard like they were a few days old! Also a shame the delivery driver, as usual, does not read the delivery instructions. Always add a note to tell them exactly where the house is but they ALWAYS go to the other end of the road.

I requested food to be delivered for 21.35 as last order of night it came at 20.00 far too early. An unable to eat due to been at work. Not happy with order at all

Bought large fish and mini fish. Got home and the large fish looks like the mini fish. Looks I was given a mini fish instead of a large. Very poor especially at the price.

Lovely fresh food but can also be a bit greasy when busy. Chips could do with being cooked a little longer too

The order was over an hour late. To be fair we were called to say there had been a problem with the system and food was ready and waiting for a driver. The food arrived and was as always quality although tepid. We did have to reheat in the microwave. But will order from there again, just one of those night's I guess.

We have always had a lovely meal from here been using them for years but i posted a not so good review a couple of weeks ago. Happy to say it was a blip and tonight Amazing pizza full of flavour. Lovely chips to go with.

The owner is an absolute joke. Half of the order was missing I called to have this rectified and he told me he wasn’t doing to replace my order as it’s just eats fault and it would be a waste of money for him to re send my order he said I have to go through just eat to have a refund and he was shouting down the phone when I have spent £25 to not receive half of my order. This is unacceptable for a company quick enough taking payment but not quick enough to rectify their mistakes.

Still waiting for a refund as food was freezing cold. It’s been 4 days……..

Always good hot food. Shame they didn’t add the salt and vinegar as requested though. Was a little late this time but not a big problem and wouldn’t stop me ordering again.

Unfortunately the haddock was over cooked which was a shame because it was a nice piece of fish
