It's a good chippy only Problem is the time it says its open 1130 but it isnt

Waited a whole consecutive year for my delivery. Only wanted a chip.

Chips were like eating leather tassels. Chicken burger I ordered was a flattend chicken (I think) and then batterd 15 times..just enough to clog up an artery. Not to mention I didn't get any garnish..all I got was abit of suspicious white sauce on my leather burger. Ordered a foot long hot dog that I can guarantee if it was canned it would've been better than the solid concrete roll it was on just bare without the sauce I ordered.

Waited over 90 minutes for delivery phoned shop to ask where it was girl was not helpful and quite unpleasant even said that it was not their fault delivery was late. Plus brought a meal they did send drink.

Ordered food on app at 8.45pm. Still waiting at 10.30pm phoned and asked and was told it was on way at 9.30. No way to contact to complain on the app. Wouldn't waste your money as the food isn't great anyway

Went on a Sunday and got a double bacon cheese burger and a pink pastie which were both very good. Would recommend 👍.

Ordered two items, one of which was overcooked, and the other never showed up. Called up to explain that only one of the two items were delivered and was informed that it would be at least another hour for the other item to be delivered, despite already waiting an hour. Unfortunately this is a recurring issue, and every time an order is placed there seems to be something missing. Last time I'll be ordering unfortunately.

I ordered food last night and it arrived late which was the first bad thing and then my onion rings were soggy and my chicken was dry and cold. I also found a hair in my food which is disgusting.

Only problem is delivery time far too long, maybe should hire extra staff

Quick service but over cooked chips and threw most of it away unfortunately.

Have bought a few items from here, food is freshly cooked, tasty. Only gripe is all the prices are blanked out so you don't know what you're going to pay in advance. The lunchtime specials are very good value and a good selection too. The Xmas chip would feed 2 easily and is lovely.

Placed an order on just eat last night at 7pm, food never turned up. Rang 4 times to check if it was on its way to be told it was, fourth time noone answered phone and they closed. Requested my money back through just eat to be told the restaurant won't give me my money back and they are sorry my order was late. It wasn't late it never arrived and i want my money back! Absolutely disgusting service and ill never be ordering from them again

1st time ordering from here as our local was closed! Not great to be honest, onion rings tasted like grease and the gravy you could have stood a folk up right in it, chips were weird like coated in a layer of grease. I should have looked at the reviews before ordering I suppose

Phoned order in was given a time but it wasn't ready when I called and had to still wait, food was good so didn't mind the wait

The food here is decent but the delivery time is terrible. Takes over 1 hour for any delivery and most of the time comes cold. They always say on the phone it’s on its way but they haven’t even sent it. Phoned 4 times and was told this each time. This was over a 4 hour period. Then shop closed for the night and I never got my food.

I usually never have a bad meal out off here for me and the family but today was horrendous. Advertising new potatoes got me excited but they where terrible got a gravy chip and chips for kids and nearly all had to be threw out, ya couldnt even put a fork in them and for the money spent I'm so disappointed ☹️

Food from here is usually lovely and fair priced, but have to say the service was excellent today on the phone and from the driver, had something wrong with the order and they came out as soon as to fix with apologies, top notch as always, Thanks New mossley team, Happy saturday!

Great tasting food. I had a Pastie and it was delicious and clearly homemade.

Took over 1 hour to arrive even though I got a text from them by ordering from their app saying it would arrive in 30 minutes. It took over 1 and a half hours and the food was cold..

I wish I read reviews before ordering. Ordered at 7:13pm and earliest delivery time was 8-8:20pm. Rang at 8:20pm and they told me it would be with me shortly. Rang again at 9pm (40 mins late) and they said they mixed orders up but that the driver was leaving the restaurant right now with my food and was coming straight to my house. The restaurant is less than 10 minutes away from my house. Rang again at 9:20pm and was told the driver was still out and on his way to my house. Food finally arrived at 9:30pm (70-90 mins late and 2h 15 mins after ordering . To my surprise, the food was actually decent enough. However, I wouldn't recommend this 'restaurant', a complete shambles from a logistics point of view. If you want good chippy food in this area and you want it before the sun comes up the next day, I'd recommend going to the Crescent at Fernagh or Monkstown.

Was my favourite place to order from. Fast delivery and always apologetic when they are a little bit late. The food is always amazing, I've never had a bad order and I live in Carrickfergus but had to add extra delivery charges which is understandable. Update 2022: They've switched to using a new ordering system which now does not let you place an order if you're outside of their local delivery range, despite extra charges being available on the menu which are now useless. It's sad as I loved this place but oh well.

I have never ever in my life had a worst experience at a chippy. I went to the shop on Friday night, ordered a chicken curry and chips. The staff were surly and curt. I waited 45 minutes for my order and people coming after me were served first. I eventually go to the staff to ask them what the delay was and was given some lame excuse about having to start the order again from scratch. The entire staff were clueless and there was no communication as to why the delay. Dreadful.

Ordered food at 12:30pm. We rang twice to check up on the food and were told it wouldn’t be long. Food didn’t arrive until after 2:30pm. When it did arrive, it was cold and one meal was missing. Can’t see how it ever could justifiably take over 2 hours to complete an order for 3 people, especially when one item isn’t even made.

Terrible,made a mess of the order ,tried to charge us for an app order that we had payed already. Food was disgusting. Won't be bk. Update= tried again still worse chippy ive ever had.

Possibly the worst service I've ever had from a business. Ordered an original chicken baguette and a large chicken burger on their app at 2.30 today that was supposed to take an hour for delivery. About an hour and 20 minutes later the delivery driver turned up with the wrong order, when I said it was the wrong stuff she just said no worries the next driver must have it, took the wrong stuff back from me and drove off. I phoned the shop and explained what happened, they apologised and promised to have the food remade and sent out straight away. About 10 minutes later the same car arrived and the passenger delivered the food and it was freezing. early the driver hoped I would think it was just the next driver along with my food like she said they would be. I phoned the shop again and they admitted that the driver had gone to wrong address with our food originally and instead of remaking it like they promised the driver just went back to the other house, swapped the food around and drove it back to me. I was promised again that the food would be made fresh and delivered out as quickly as possible and it should be with me in a half hour (this is already an hour and a half after the order was placed) 15 minutes later I get a phone call from a "supervisor" asking if when they send the new food out can I give the cold food back to the driver which I agree to. Even though they clearly thought I was just trying to get free food from them I had nothing to hide, the food was still there completely untouched. Another 20 minutes later there is still no food and no further contact. I phoned the shop and requested a refund and said that after over 2 hours of waiting I didn't want the food anymore. The supervisor just bounced from excuse to excuse, refused to refund me as they had already made the food and said if I wanted she could give my name and number to a manager and they could sort the problem. I've now waited over an hour for the manager to call. Very long story short, I've waited over 3 hours for food that hasn't turned up and apparently because they cooked it I'm not entitled to a refund. The supervisor was rude, unhelpful and has no clue how to provide any form of customer service and either hasn't bothered to pass my details on to management or the management are just as bad. Avoid at all costs unless you want to pay to be annoyed, lied to and left without food.

Got a pasty bap, from this chippy, and it took me back to my school days, it was delicious, this chippy also does wraps, the curry is also tasty, not too spicy. Staff are friendly and service is good.

I ordered a kebab on chips which I got but unfortunately kebab was very hard almost overcooked. I ordered a portion of garlic mayo and when I opened it, it was like water and did certainly not look like garlic mayo. Onion rings were overcooked like chewing a brick only thing I really could eat was the battered sausages. Won't be ordering again very disappointed.

That's the last time I get a fry from new mossley chippy you order a fry with no sauce you expect a fry with no sauce not a fry swimming in sauce to the point of the that all you can taste is the tomato sauce it's that bitter its making my eyes water trying to eat it

Takes a long time to get your food ready even when you phone in advance , food quality is sub standard , staff look miserable.

The establishment is a joke oredered food at 2:10 and only arrived at 16:10 .... Won't be back !

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT!! Absolutely disgusting from new mossily chippy, i have been a regular for years and have no problems up until Tuesday evening where i placed my order at 20:47pm on just eat which it said it would be delivered at 21:55, i received the notification to tell me the driver is on the way at 21:30, so i'm waiting and waiting and still no sign of it being delivered. I then tried phoning the restaurant twice at 22:15 pm just to find out there closed. Which i contacted just eat just to be told i have to wait 48 hours for a investigation for a refund. I was then told by just eat on Thursday that i would not get a refund as apparently they deemed it being collected which i never got it. I phoned the restaurant and not once was i put through to the actual manager of the store, instead i got a phonecall from a private number which was the supposit delivery driver that apparently delivered it to my house. I was told new mossily would phone me back, not once was i told that the actual delivery driver would be phoning me. So when i asked him why it wasn't delivered, he give me a false answer saying it was and when i asked him to describe what the house looked like and what did the person look like that apparently collected it, the answers he give me where not descriptive and did not match with what my house looked like and said it was a guy with a receding hairline which no one in my family has. He then proceeded to curse and verbally harrass me down the phone and hung up on me, which is very unprofessional because he couldn't own up to the fact that he delivered it to wrong house and i know this because he stated that he delivered at 9pm which clearly he didn't, seeing as i only ordered it at 20:47pm and it is physically impossible to cook my order and deliver it within that time frame. Will never be back there again and i will be going to just eat to report them for scamming me out of money with very poor customer service (absolutely no help from them at all), No actual help from the manager who was meant to deal with this issue but was no where to be found. And the harassment i got from the unprofessional and disgraceful delivery driver who couldn't own up to a mistake he made. It is clear that they do not value good customer service whatsover.

Just ordered the lunchtime special Chicken Cougans and chips. Absolutely terrible and no drink delivered. How you can forget a drink is beyond me. Shows lack of interest in your customers. Looks like left over food from the day before! Will not be ordering again!

Ordered dinner tonight off just eat app for this chippy. The food came so burnt I thought I had ordered from local crematorium. batter was black and hard. The food was just loop warm, so I had two heat it in oven and air fryer. AWFUL , AWFUL , AWFUL. AVOID ordering online. I've had food out of here before and it was great so hopefully they sort it out.

Tonight was the first time me and my partner have eaten from this chippy. My and my partner was very disappointed. The fish was ok also the fish super. I think the fish and chips could be cooked a little bit longer for a much nicer flavour . I'm sorry I had to gave you 3 star because I of this. The delivery is very good but not the food. Sorry but we won't be ordering off you's again .

Batter was chewy, my boyfriend too one bite of his burger and threw it away as it was tuff and chewy with no taste. Kids chicken nuggets were rotten. Only good thing was chips and gravy 😕. Just eat said it would be ready for 5.20pm and wasnt ready until 5.45pm so had to wait almost half an hour in the shop for the collection.

First time ordering from this place today, not a regular chippy for me today but as one of the few open we decided to give it a go & placed an order. We knew there would be a wait & we did wait just over an hour for it arrive, however we had such a confusion with the girl taking the order who just couldn't seem to grasp our door number & I knew it would end up being an issue- which it was as the delivery guy explained he went to the wrong house & so when it arrived it was lukewarm. Severely dissapointed in what is meant to be an 'excellent chippy' in regards to the portion sizes & the little you get for the cost. Ordered chicken goujons which were the size of nothing & got about half a box of chips. Needless to say the goujons meal & taco chip was not worth the £16.50 it cost. Fo yourself a favour & order from the Captains Table in glengormley next time 👋

The food we had delivered was awful. A "taco chip" which looked horrendous, and was completely dry with a miserable serving of mince and a drop of sauce clumped on top of the most unappealing chips. Meanwhile the goujons were tiny and had more crispy skin than chicken. For the cost of our two meals we expected much higher quality and after waiting an hour for delivery this was a complete letdown. Honestly couldn't believe that was what we were served - robbery.

Ordered £29.50 worth last night. Came an hour and a half later. Cold... sauces concealed... not great looking either! Daughter rang to politely inform the staff of how unacceptable the meal we received was. The man who answered the phone wasn't as polite, rudely telling her "the sauce is meant to look like a lump of jelly" and "well what would you like me to do about that?" My daughter calmly told him she was just letting them know to maybe prevent it happening again that night. How can we fix our mistakes if we aren't aware of them? We thought maybe the staff would care about their customers concerns but apparently not as the man continued to be rude and tell us "that's just how it goes"

Never again will i use this chippy. Two weeks in a row they have forgotten to add items in our order, Last week it was a chicken Burger, this week they forgot to add pasties to our family meal deal. We paid for delivery then have to call to get the missing items and then our food is spoilt, Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs.

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, THE KEBAB MEAT WAS BURNT AND HARD LIKE CRISPY BACON. I ORDERED IT AND THEY SAID 10 MINS I WENT UP 15 MINS LATER AND THEY HADENT EVEN STARTED COOKING IT, I HAD TO WAIT A FURTHER 30 MINS WHILE THEY LAUGHED AND GIGGLED ABOUT WHAT THEY WERE DOING AT THE WEEKEND. I WON'T BE BUYING OUT OF IT AGAIN! CAN'T EVEN GET THE MANAGER ON THE PHONE TO LEAVE A COMPLAINT! DISGRACEFUL. NEEDS SOME WORK AND REAL MANAGEMENT!
