New Mexican House Grill & Bar in East Staffordshire

Reluctantly I have to score the venue as average, if I’m being kind. Rang ahead to see what vegan options were and was given some confidence. Arrival was ok. Bit of an odd mismatch of furniture not screaming Mexican other than a few flags. The food was ok, good wedges and chips. Vegetarian fajitas and chicken fajitas were ok but not up to chimichangas or chiquittos back in the day. Vegetable bowl didn’t specify that it was gonna have random bits of soya fake meat in it. To be fair the restaurant swapped it out, but all in all it lacked any flair. No atmosphere for a Friday night. Sorry because the colleagues were friendly but not wowing

The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the sombreros were practically mandatory and the chimis were plentiful. You will not be disappointed!

First time at this restaurant and already thinking about another visit. The food was delicious we had nachos to share and a spicy prawns starter both lovely. We all had a steak with different sauces and all were really good. Would absolutely recommend and we will be going back to try other delicious foods on the menu.

Lovely Valentines meal with a great 3 course offer, fantastic food and amazing live music from the saxophone. Would definitely recommend and will be back

The food was great- I would recommend the chicken fajitas. We were the only table on a Wednesday night but Chan looked after us and was very friendly- the cocktails were amazing!!

Went for a birthday celebration...the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was great. We had the party menu which is £21.95 for a selection of starters to share, a main course, churros for pudding and a shot of tequila. I also had an apple mojito which was very nice. One of my friends was driving so she had the non alcoholic pina colada which looked and tasted amazing.

This restaurant is fantastic. We drove past on our way to town and thought to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The food was incredible and the portions are plentiful. The staff are so lovely and attentive and we have come away feeling full, happy and excited for the next visit! Highly recommend!!

1st time at this Restaurant. Not very busy and welcome was great. Sat at table which was right next to fan heater, and as cool outside, very welcoming. We rather over ordered on food but wanted to try a bit of everything. Nacho sharer was awesome. Portion size large and really top notch flavour. My Mojitos were fantastic. Definitely would return. Staff wonderfully attentive and helpful. Visit you’ll not be disappointed.
