First time eating at this take away and all the dishes were good. Notably great were the hot and sour soup, crispy pancake, salt and pepper squid and ¼ aromatic duck.

I waited an hour and a half for a thing of rice some chips a thing of curry and some prawn crackers but is good food but new kwong Lee is definitely better

2hrs15 for delivery and food was awful. Over cooked, chicken like rubber and tasted like fish? Most of it went in the bin. Never again!

Best sweet and sour chicken in town

I had not been here for years since moving, but I was in the area so popped in with a mate. The special fried rice was nice, but the curry was like water, didn't like the curry, but everything else was alright. Good location in town.

Great Place, the only decent Chinese in Liskeard, lovely staff. Highly recommend 👍 definitely should be much more busier on quiet opening hours.

Sorry for late review but due to being such a busy night out with family i finally just got back home around 30 mins ago, anyway ordered food from here tonight to my Grandparents place for us and as always like when I get it ordered to mine the food was delicious.. i would also like to thank the young delivery driver with blue hat as he was very polite, kind and well mannered upon arrival and hand over of food and for that i give 5 stars.. thankyou new lai wan for great service and such tasty food 😋

This is our first time to order take away as we are not familiar with this take away and the place. Spent £30 order bbq spare ribs, beef chow Mein 2x king prawn in batter (which I expected it just 2 big prawns not 2 serve of prawns good for 5people.) BBQ spare ribs doesn’t even look like bbq, taste awful went straight to the bin. Beef chow mien taste awful again went to the bin. It’s just a waste of money.. I won’t not recommend this take away restaurant.

Avoid this Chinese, ordered multiple items on Sunday evening and was sent chip’s instead of crispy chicken ( not the first time they’ve messed up an order of ours either, stupidly we went back, more fool us ) after calling multiple times to resolve the issue and not being able to get through I decided to call the following day to see if if I’d have any better luck, I could not have been more wrong. Was told I cannot get a refund as the complaint wasn’t handled that day despite the numerous calls that evening and that I couldn’t have the correct item either for the same reason. After speaking to 2 separate useless members of staff who kept repeating no refund no phone yesterday, I am left out of pocket and disgusted at the so called customer service. Do yourselves a favour go somewhere else and avoid the constant mistakes that this joke of an establishment make!

We moved to Cornwall recently, we have had 3 takeaways and all 3 have been superb, and I must mention the delivery service is excellent to so polite and in time. Thank you New Lai Wan for a lovely meal and great service. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Food always arrives hot and fresh. The lady is always very polite and lovely on the phone. Best take away Chinese in Liskeard by far.

Been the best of what's available in liskeard so I've eaten here for many years...must have spent a few K in there! But after the last few I've had there, gonna give it a miss from now on. Last straw was the other night when I repeated the number of one of the three dishes I getting 4 times. I asked for the dish with mixed neat and got home (6miles away) to find I'd been given the vegetables option BLURGH! so went back in next early evening to be told no refund or replacement as I should have driven all the way back as soon as I realised Sorry but if you wanna do well these days you gotta look after the customers. Average food I can take, overcooked and greasy is a big red flag, but rudeness? See ya!

We have tried all the takeaways in the area around Liskeard and this is by far the best. We always pick it up and it is lovely and hot. Best prawn toast ever. Everything so tasty 😍

Very polite staff both on the phone and delivery driver, food was delivered hot and it was delicious.

Have been using this Chinese for over 7yrs, but quality gone down hill, Monday evening went on and ordered, drive home and opened the chow neon and the chicken was off, opened the next chicken dish and exactly the same. Phoned the owner or lady that runs it wouldn’t come to the phone and made the young girl speak to me. Offered me £6 back which I refused as I had spent over £25 and wouldn’t be eating any of it as 3 dishes had chicken in it. I asked for the delivery driver to bring my full refund which eventually was agreed but nothing arrived, phoned twice the last being just after 2200 and spoke to the owner she played dumb like she didn’t know what I was talking about, I said I could hear what you were saying to the young girl so you know what’s going on. She eventually said come in tomorrow for my refund and bring the food. I did and was offered £11 by the man that was there, I said no I want all my money back as I haven’t had any. I left with my money and gave him the stinky off food back, reported it to environmental health

I ordered fish and chips for the first time. But won't be ordering that again. I had to cut the fish with a knife, the batter was very hard and most of the chip's as well.

We are here on holiday and found this Chinese and the food was delivered on time and was a fantastic meal all six of us eat it all well worth the money

If the option for zero stars was available, that's what we'd be putting! Chips were over cooked, sauces were watery but we were hungry, so we over looked that, what we couldn't over look was the raw chicken (!!) in our chicken fried rice. On investigation, none of the chicken was cooked properly, rubbery and bloody. Telephoned to make them aware and that we wanted our money back, there was communication difficulties but the woman said she'd send the delivery driver back with a full refund. On arrival, the delivery driver was abrupt but was happy to take the food away but appeared to need confirmation whether he could give a refund (although he didn't explain this to us), after some huffing and puffing and the driver raising his voice, he did give in and give us the refund. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning, we are also disappointed and still hungry!

Ordered here many many times. But today when theyre trying to take my number which they heard wrong several times i get "oh my god (quietly like they took the phone away from their head to say it) okay just tell me what you want". Do one. Get a hearing aid. I was speaking clearly. I get its busy but that was uncalled for. Shame.

Been eating here for years, more because of lack of decent alternative, the food is always touch and go, often arrives cold, or obviously re purposed food, BBQ ribs washed off from the BBQ sauce and passed off as salt and pepper dry ribs etc. Then tonight the final nail in the coffin, I get 2 bites into my dinner, salt and pepper crispy chicken with rice, sweet and sour and chips, and what's this in my mouth? Somebody's hair!!! They didn't understand that I didn't want my food anymore and my money back, tried to convince me to have another meal....I think not mate, never eating here again. Put a hair net on!

The food as definitely gone downhill especially the chips really hard and unedible. This unfortunately has happened a few times. Also bad mushrooms were used in the chow mein. Definitely won't be returning.

Thank you for a lovely meal last night we had the set menu for 3. All of the food was delivered quickly all portions were really generous it was hot and very tasty. It was one of the best meals we have had.

Bloody awful! We ordered chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce. The coating was burned, the chicken still clucking. The prawn toast was like charcoal! The chips looked like they'd been left out in the sun to dry. Never again! I'd have preferred to throw 26.00 down the drain!

If I could review this place without needing to put 1 star I WOULD!!! Im not one to usually leave many reviews on places I eat/go to but I couldn't hold off writing this one as I feel I have a service to humanity to avoid this place. I've had many Chinese takeaways from different areas. Nowhere is 100% perfect but this place doesn't have 1 quality and is literally disgusting tasteless slop. The "food" is so bland and tasteless that I actually wondered if I had covid and lost my senses. The chicken from the curry looks like its been frozen, in isolation since the first lockdown and then microwaved. Various rice dishes I picked from was all the same non-tasting rubber. We ordered a lot of food from here and many different dishes at our family meeting and not 1 bit worth finishing or even getting seconds of. I went to mcdnlds drive thru on the way home. Disappointed to say the least. I'd rather drive to Plymouth or other parts of devon or even somerset to get a takeaway and take the food home and microwave it myself. Do the public a favour and close. Kind regards.

Good service and excellent menu

We visited on both Friday and Saturday this past week. I have to say I was surprised both how good the food was and it's value for money, hence we went back for a second time. Was busy, but staff were efficient and helpful and we waited a normal amount of time for the food. Would recommend to anyone in the Liskeard area.

May have turned up after 1hour 20 but was worth every minute. Delish and sooo much food we couldn't manage it all and will have to save some for tomorrow. Brilliant value.Thanks will be back

Nice food, big portions, low prices

I see someone reviewed this place a year ago and said how the curry sauce was watery, which was replied to saying it would be improved - doesn't look like it was though! Everything was rather bland, had a chow mein, mixed veg and a couple of sauces which didn't have much taste. My son had fish and chips but the fish was very cheap and he ended up leaving it all. Ended up very disappointed 😞

Best Chinese takeaway in liskgard

Usually love this place! Food is usually excellent and they deliver in less time than expected. However last night we ordered for 6 which came to around £40. Not bad at all. The food seemed fine until later that evening when I was very sick and had terrible stomach pains. My friend who had ordered the same as me (s&s chicken balls) was sick this morning and my other friends complained they don't feel good today. Shame as I really loved this takeaway but feel a little reluctant to go back now after this experience...

Me and my partner order from you all year round I'm very disappointed with the service I received last night after placing my order one dish was wrong I then rang you to complain and had the phone dropped on me.

Have used a dozen or so times now and have found the food well cooked and a fair price. Service good and no real waiting.

Came quick, the curry was watery no taste. The sweet and sour chicken balls were clearly fried and the received in order. Chicken noodle soup was just awful. All in all, feel very disappointed kids still hungry and £30 our if pocket!

I moved to Liskeard 2 weeks ago and was desperate for a good Chinese meal, well, I found it. I had a Chicken Satay, fried rice, soft noodles and the usual prawn crackers, it was hot, tasty and really well priced. Haven’t tried the other takeaways in liskeard yet, might do, might not, but this place I give 10 out of 10. The misses did tell me off though, I forgot the banana fritters....Oooooops.

Food took an hour to be delivered. Then it arrived cold, i had to microwave everything before my family could eat. The batter on the chicken nuggets was raw inside. There was a hair in the chicken chow mein. The egg fried rice was not egg fried, it came as boiled rice. All dishes were tasteless. Very disappointing for the amount i was charged.

Nice food but i ordered a squid with onion and ginger, but it mostly onions i only manage to find a 6 tiny pieces/ slices of squid. Its disappointing as they are not cheap either. :-(
