New Hong Kong in Enfield

Not ordered here for quite some time. Mine was a small order of chicken chow mein, prawn crackers, curry sauce - all the food was exceptional, unfortunately the long hair I found in the chow mein didn't add much flavour 😢

I ordered a takeaway it was absolutely disgusting.

Food arrived after 1 and a half hours of waiting chips was cold no drinks as we ordered call the restaurant to come back and take the food they took the food back and then said we had eaten some. I told we didn’t the food was cold they then replyed it was the driver TOTAL MADNESS never again order from china kitchen they are so much better

I ordered a takeaway was absolutely disgusting & gave me food poisoning. Threw up nonstop after eating this & looked and saw they have a 3 hygiene rating. Disgusting place would not recommend.

Used to love ordering from here, but since the lady who ran it has taken a break, the service has really gone done hill. It takes them ages to understand my order, they don't know their own menu. The past two times my order has been wrong, which never used to happen. I will be taking a break until the old management returns.

A really great Chinese takeaway, our regular. Very fast delivery. I removed one star on food only because my chicken and sweetcorn soup was a bit odd today. Everything else was delicious, as usual. Very reasonable price also. Lovely food the lady is very polite not rude as a customer has stated. She’s always very helpful. Fried rice delicious pancake rolls are massive

I don't understand the negative reviews, this place is great. I ordered salt pepper chili squid and singapore fried rice noodle and it was a good portion and very tasty.l! There is a place down the road from there which is horrible, I'm convinced people are getting confused with that takeaway haha.

Probably one of the worst Chinese take away that I have had in ages. They must be using some sort a food colouring in their food and never seen anything as red as their Pork Szechuan.

Pancake roll is massive nice chips curry sauce was nice so was special fried rice .. pleasant service

Vegan Options available here. Restaurant understood when I phoned to ask. Tofu Curry with boiled rice and spring rolls. There are other Tofu options on the menu as well. Happy to have local options, I will be returning again.

Worst Chinese I've had in my life - and yep I know, big call, we've all had some bad ones. This was stunningly bad, utterly inedible - Just Eat have been no help at all in my attempts to gain a refund - DO NOT USE THEM - Uber Eats and Deliveroo are far more helpful and proactive in such circumstances. Ordered from here via Just Eat on 23rd Dec - simple dishes - very standard Canto/Brit fare, nothing adventurous, though my gosh was it terrible - worst I've experienced in my life, and I've eaten the best and worst food across 4 continents and in over 30 countries. Egg Fried Rice - yes a staple, somehow terrible, dried and burnt, reused or reheated? Crispy Seaweed - soggy, loads of sugar, zero flavour. Crispy Chilli Beef - smelt like an industrial accident, like nothing I've experienced in nature before, tried a tiny morsel and almost cried it was that unpleasant. Crispy Duck - dry, flavourless, weird colour and odour, was it killed with arsenic? Special Spring Roll - an abomination - imagine the cheapest and oldest batter used to coat a combo of out of date beansprouts, veg, and bits of 'chicken', though cant vouch for exactly what meat it was. Dog, pigeon, staff? If you have any appreciation for, or care of, the flavour, ingredients, or quality for the food you eat, you will never order from here. I can only assume that the previous reviews of anything above 1 star are a joke, fake, or if genuinely submitted by actual people, then they have no sense of taste or smell, with no respect for their internal organs which were required to digest and dispose of such horrible substances.

Disgusting and rude lady who works here! I ordered from here and my food was cold: so I claimed my money back. Then I gave them the benefit of the doubt to order again a month later. To then it come up declined but took my money which the lady took of me who works here. To the call up and ask why it declined she said because I said the food was cold when it was I wouldn’t claim my money back if it wasn’t for the lady to shout her mouth of down the phone saying she’s keeping my money so I had to end up going to my bank for them to give it back. Such a rude and horrible person who works here.

Very salty experience last week. Couldnt eat my food as full of excess salt. I pointed it out tonight and the woman said she knew as other customers had also said the same. I placed my order for 2 dishes and jokingly said not to much salt. I asked for prawn crackers and she told me the price. I asked do i not get a complementary free bag of crackers and she bluntly said no! So i said but you admitted other customers complained about last weeks excess in salt and i cant have a bag of free crackers. Thats right she said no free prawn crackers. I informed them i would take my sevice elsewhere and left the shop. T. Montana

Food was ok but to much oil in the rice chilli was not cooked into the rice but everything orher than was good

It was very good. Friendly staff and the batter was not greasy. I shall return one day.

I was so disappointed and disgusted with how much food I throw away. It had a foul smell and definitely not FRESH. The chow mein was bulked up with loads vegetables & about 10 noodles. You would've thought I asked for the vegan option. If I knew the food would be like this I would have been better off ordering from McDonald’s. I felt cheated. Never ever will I order from them again. What a waste of £40. 🤬🤮

Please don’t go here! Awful customer service! The woman got our order wrong and gave us food we are allergic to. We asked for our order to be corrected she very unprofessional, shouting and swearing and even hung up the phone. She vowed never to do business again with us but the customer is always right.

This is a lovely place to get food from, it is always fresh, hot and delivered well with in the time. For me it gets 5 stars all the way !!!

The chicken chowmein is the best I've had. Nice chunky pieces of chicken, crunchy beansprouts, firm but soft noodles, seasoned just right! Plus they always listen to your specific preferences. The only place i can rely on for great UK chinese food.

Couldn’t believe it when it came ordered chicken curry and it was the worst I have ever had .the curry was so tacky.

It's under new management and you can tell, the food is now excellent! Huge chunks of meat in the chowmein, they're not skimping on ingredients that's for sure, and it tastes yummy!

Had a set menu tonight b1 for 2 people and it was absolutely lovely , best Chinese around hear 😜

Always fast delivery and love their food, especially the pancake rolls! No complaints from us! If they could come up with a veggie alternative to crispy beef, that would be a dream come true 😁

We normally use the Peking Chef but it was closed, so we thought we'd try this one. The Satay Prawn was awful. Three skewers with some very smallish prawns on in a curry sauce, not satay at all, along with raw onion, chunky cucumber and pineapple. We had duck and, when we got home, discovered they had forgotten to give us the pancakes. Of course we were all hungry and didn't want it to go cold so we didn't go back. The rest was average but not worth the £41 we paid. Oh, and they tried to give us the wrong order. Luckily I knew how much they quoted us on the phone so realised it wasn't our meal. So not a great experience all round really.

Worst Chinese we've had. Four people were ill. When we contacted the shop they were not interested. Stay away, be warned. Had to put a one star rating to put a review on the web site, but to be fare it's a no rating. Stay away

Best chinese takeaway in the whole area, have tried many others. These guys are consistent, deliver fast and don't overuse MSG (chemical additives most places use to artificially enhance the flavour). So if you read any bad reviews it's probably because today's consumers aren't use to decent healthy food. Food is lean, great quality and cooked well.

Far better than Masterchef. Food cooked fresher and tastier. Closed Tuesdays though.
