great Chinese but the fortune cookie said 'wish you had a bright future' which I found pretty demoralising

We had egg fried rice and duck curry and chips and it was unbelievable ❤️ Best Chinese I’ve ever been to, and been to many with working throughout out the uk 😀

Absolutely wonderful, chicken was a little tough in some parts but don’t let that change you from buying some of their food, flavourful, and for a fair price in my opinion, eaten from here twice and il definitely be buying from them more in the future 😄😄 even my food arrived 20 minutes earlier than it was supposed too, hot and ready

It said 55-70 minutes for delivery but was with us in about twenty minutes. Lovely and hot and friendly delivery driver. Shredded chicken in peking sauce yummy!

Very tasty, hot and fresh, prawn crackers were still hot which is unheard of! Delivery time said 60-80 minutes but it came after 15. Will order again for sure :)

Highly recommended. Only complaint is l had 2 items missing. Prawn crackers and sweet and sour chicken balls. Food was hot and delicious.

Really poor. Greasy, bland, poor quality. Never again.

We were regulars with this take away, use to enjoy it, unfortunately our last order arrived with one dish missing, phoned the take away, no answer, reported the issue to just eat twice ! Still nothing done about it ! No response from anyone ! Disappointing !

Impressed with flavour and freshness of food and also 10 mins earlier than eta (on a Saturday night) Food was also steaming hot. Quality salt and pepper chicken too!!

The duck was delicious and not dry. chicken balls were absolutely on point. usually they are greasy or overdone elsewhere. The crispy shredded chicken was delicious. Egg fried rice and plain chow mein were also very tasty. I'm not a chips person but the salt and pepper chips were so addictive and crispy. I cannot fault this delivery. I didn't even get the palpitations I get from othe places I've ordered from. I'll definitely be ordering again

Best Chinese we’ve had in ages

Arrived lovely and hot, lovely chips, the whole meal was delicious, absolutely enjoyed it, highly recommended nothing whatsoever to complain about.

Ordered for the first time today. Came quicker than expected and my crispy shredded beef in Peking sauce was super tasty. We enjoyed our 3 meals and would likely make this our go to in Sheffield.

Pre ordered delivered on time, a lovely hot Chinese meal, sweet n sour chicken balls cooked beautifully and crispy, special fried rice was gorgeous and so was the lovely crispy pancake rolls. Never had anything to complain about with meals from here.

My go to Chinese in Sheffield. The food is always hot and delicious, the service is brilliant, super quick. I would recommend the chicken & prawn toast (the best I have ever had) salt and pepper crispy beef and they have some amazing all for one deals if you are ordering alone! I would definitely recommend giving New Hing Lung a try, there’s nothing to fault 🙂

It was very good- apart from the fact I ordered Curry sauce and got Sweet and Sour sauce! Not a major problem…but not what I wanted.. or ordered!

It was ok but not great, small portions and 40% of both meals were onions.

Had to reheat the chips as they were soggy and barely warm. I also had to do the same with the salt and pepper chicken. Not the best

First time using these guys and not much to complain about.. The food arrived well before the estimate, it was hot, seemed very fresh, really tasty and the portions were proper portions. It's rare to find a good quality Chinese takeaway nowerdays.. Will order again for sure.

10/10 Best s&s chicken balls in town. Chicken satay super tasty with a nice level of spice. Broccoli in garlic amazing side. Best tasting Chinese take away we have had in a long time.

Came in to try house special rice and soft noodles, ordered as well ribs and sweet and sour chicken and we are left well impressed! So far its the best Chinese we had in sheffield! Meat is well marinated, generous portions and at last but not least, sweet and sour sauce is perfect! Thank you chef!

One of the best Chineses I've had in sheffield! Super tasty, portion sizes were spot on, not too salty as I've found some Chinese to be. All in all absolutely fab, can't wait for my next chinese from here! We even had loads leftover which fed us the night after 😅 oh and let's not forget the prawn and chicken toast!! Absolutely delish👌👌

Best salt & pepper shredded chicken!

Not often am I able to afford a takeaway these days, but I struck gold when I ordered from New Hing Lung for my first time. The food is hot, well presented and tasty and plenty of it. The Fortune Cookies was a nice touch! Delivery guy was pleasant too. Highly Recommend!

Order was late and the food was mostly tasteless. Prawn crackers were the only nice thing. The person who I spoke to on the phone was also rude when I called to check where my order was.

Our favourite chinese takeaway in Sheffield! Their salt and pepper box is lovely but their crispy shredded chicken in sweet and sour or their lemon chicken are my absolute favourite! The delivery is super quick as well. We highly recommend this one!

Ordered Hong Kong Sweet & sour Chicken ...recieved battered chicken balls with a sauce, chips and curry sauce where freezing cold and the rice was tasteless.....took well over an hour to arrive and was dreadful, threw most of it in the bin..the fat oouzed out of the chicken balls..had to phone up to ask where our food was....

The best Chinese takeaway in Sheffield by far. Food ordered - chilli crispy beef, king prawn chow mein, sweet n sour chicken & chicken balls with egg fried rice. Reasonably priced, good portions and most importantly the taste is exquisite!

Food always hot and quickly. Had a few orders and all been great so far. Chicken Satay skewers are delicious. And they do a lovely side of stir fried broccoli which is great to have alongside other dishes. Also, I'm allegeric to bell peppers and they never put any in the dishes when I leave a note.

Had a nightmare with other chinese delivery services, the food was not up to scratch. Had about 9 from here lately and every one has been brilliant. They do the crispy duck extra crispy on request, teh sauces are tasty, noodles fresh, the satay is amazing and don't forget the crispy chips. Glad I found you! Number 40!

Food cooked fresh while you wait and always excellent - some customers say they even drive across the pennines to come back and get takeaway here! You can phone in your order and pick up. EDIT: Prices went up under new management, but still very reasonable and they now take card payments too.

The curry was bland tasted like water and the prices were a little high but nothing crazy. Other than that the rest of the food was good but i probably wont order again as the curry is the main part for me and this was was bad

We usually order Chinese food from local Chinese restaurants but we tried New Hing lung recently, Singapore vermicelli and sweet sour chicken are like restaurant standard. Highly recommended 👍👍

My family has been ordering from here since I was a young child. Fair dues but it's just been taken over by somebody else within the family therefore they have different chefs cooking but the food is pretty much bang on. I am aware that the prices have increased but to be quite frank for the past 35 years the prices they were charging stuck when they could have been charging so much more previously. I've noticed some people have complained it's more expensive but technically it's just on par with the food that they serve. And to be fair raising the price for the first time in what could possibly be the first time in 38 years if not longer is a fair deal. I'm not even sure how the business was running for so long on the previous 1980s cheap prices. This is and probably will always be my Chinese of choice. The only thing I've just missed is crispy seaweed. Can you please get crispy seaweed.

A shame to see this places fall from grace. It was the best Chinese in Sheffield before the new owners came in. They seem to be deleting reviews too which were warranted due to their price increases and drop in quality of food.

Lovely old school curry, food delicious,only downside, the delivery lady couldn’t find me so had to go outside and look for her so food was nearly cold but apart from that top marks

I was working in the area & read the reviews so I thought I would try it. Lovely food, the salt & pepper box is inspired. Definitely get a takeaway again if I'm in the area.

Sad to say, food was really bland and tasteless. Too many onions in chow mein and beef chow mein was 60% vegetable

Absolutely amazing take-away. Every dish we ordered was delicious, really great noodles and rice too. Fair prices, quick delivery. This will definitely be our go-to Chinese from now on.

I've been using this takeaway for over 20 years, it is the ONLY one in Sheffield that I like out of loads I have tried. The food was so well priced and tasted amazing. But now, with new owners it just isn't the same. A meal that would have cost £16.30 on the old menu now cost £23. The chicken was gross, the sauce bland and the rice was overcooked and mushy. I don't know why they have added mushrooms into the chicken curry but there were more.of those than anything else! I didn't know the old owners were leaving so I'm absolutely gutted to have missed out on a last chance to eat their food. But unfortunately I won't be returning to this Chinese takeaway. An expensive disappointment.

It was sad when the previous owners left as not just amazing food, but amazing price too (I always got menu A for 2 at £10.50 ?). However, I've now tried the new management and although it's now gone up to £16 for menu A, it's still a good takeaway. Portions are actually bigger and still tasty even with using a different cook. I've attached a photo although I forgot to include the very nice, large special fried rice for 2, and complimentary prawn crackers. Ok, so it's more expensive than before but lets face it, we were all spoilt with the old management but compared to others chinese takaway's, it's still cheaper and tastier than a lot I've been to. The only objection I may have is that the spare ribs weren't as 'melt in the mouth' as before, but still ok.

since new owners prices have risen 40-50% and food is not a patch on how it used to be, sorry but unless it improves you’ve lost a customer here, shame really

Recently change owners which was always going to be a shame to use the old owners as they were fantastic So you expect things to be slightly different but on speaking to the old owners his dad was going to train new staff to keep that consistancy Am afraid it seems this hasnt happened Everything i had was done differently which was a real shame Special chow mein - salty noodles not a lot of meat no large prawns Beef chow mein salty noodles partner didnt eat it Sweet sour sauce way too sweet Positives Chips good Boiled rice good Prices have also increased meal for two £22 from £14 quite the increase but the quality just isnt there and unfortunatly i wont be returning but wish them all the best

The art of doing simple things simply is being gradually lost. Not here. Old school 70s-90s takeaway. Friendly staff. Oh and the food is excellent. Let's not talk about the prices though- still in the 1980s! Bravo!
