New Hing Lung Chinese Takeaway in Sheffield

We ordered a delivery, it was here within half an hour, the food was delicious 😋 will be ordering again!

Like many others I had to downgrade the rating. Most of the five star ones apply to the previous owners. I understand that its hard to takeover the best Chinese in town and live-up to it. These guys did NOT. In Sheffield we are spoiled with great food, and while these guys might be good enough for Derby, or South shields (Where standard isn't as high as here), but in Sheffield they are well below average. Ok when you are hungry and tired to go elsewhere for better food.

On the whole not a bad meal but what spoilt the meal was the chips they were like two days old and dry as sticks

I'm a bit annoyed that I spend a lot of money and got no freebies. Chinese normally give you something for spending enough. even if it was some cheap spring rolls lol.

The quality whilst not the best, is fairly consistent. They used to deliver very quickly but the last two times have been ridiculous - 2 hours then an hour and half. If realistic delivery times were provided people then have the option to decide if they want to wait that long, but the order goes through before the delivery time is updated with a great amount added on and then more when they still can’t meet that.

Consistently good food, always lands on time if not earlier, hot and delivery staff are friendly.

wow!! absolutely delicious food! it was late but still hot. The prawn toast is so think and tasty. despite the lateness I think this will be my new Chinese go to 👌🏼

Food arrived over an hour late from first estimated delivery time, and was cold. I had to chase several times and when I finally called I was told the driver had been stuck in football traffic. The football had finished over four hours earlier! It’s a five minute drive from this takeaway to our house. Poor service, poor quality food and a bad experience in general. We won’t be ordering again.

Delivery time when ordering was given as 60 minutes. It actually took over two hours. The delivery time was updated on just eat once. it then said had been delivered, but it hadn't. Called NHL, no apology, they blamed Just Eat. The food was fairly standard, not worth the wait. Wouldn't use again. Over 2 hours with no warning of such a wait is not acceptable.

A good amount of quality food for the price paid. I will definitely order from here again.

We had egg fried rice and duck curry and chips and it was unbelievable ❤️ Best Chinese I’ve ever been to, and been to many with working throughout out the uk 😀

Absolutely wonderful, chicken was a little tough in some parts but don’t let that change you from buying some of their food, flavourful, and for a fair price in my opinion, eaten from here twice and il definitely be buying from them more in the future 😄😄 even my food arrived 20 minutes earlier than it was supposed too, hot and ready

It said 55-70 minutes for delivery but was with us in about twenty minutes. Lovely and hot and friendly delivery driver. Shredded chicken in peking sauce yummy!

Very tasty, hot and fresh, prawn crackers were still hot which is unheard of! Delivery time said 60-80 minutes but it came after 15. Will order again for sure :)

Really enjoyed chicken curry and veg chow Mein. Would order again.

Highly recommended. Only complaint is l had 2 items missing. Prawn crackers and sweet and sour chicken balls. Food was hot and delicious.

Really poor. Greasy, bland, poor quality. Never again.

We were regulars with this take away, use to enjoy it, unfortunately our last order arrived with one dish missing, phoned the take away, no answer, reported the issue to just eat twice ! Still nothing done about it ! No response from anyone ! Disappointing !

Impressed with flavour and freshness of food and also 10 mins earlier than eta (on a Saturday night) Food was also steaming hot. Quality salt and pepper chicken too!!

The duck was delicious and not dry. chicken balls were absolutely on point. usually they are greasy or overdone elsewhere. The crispy shredded chicken was delicious. Egg fried rice and plain chow mein were also very tasty. I'm not a chips person but the salt and pepper chips were so addictive and crispy. I cannot fault this delivery. I didn't even get the palpitations I get from othe places I've ordered from. I'll definitely be ordering again

Best Chinese we’ve had in ages

Arrived lovely and hot, lovely chips, the whole meal was delicious, absolutely enjoyed it, highly recommended nothing whatsoever to complain about.

Ordered for the first time today. Came quicker than expected and my crispy shredded beef in Peking sauce was super tasty. We enjoyed our 3 meals and would likely make this our go to in Sheffield.

the food taste nice but too salty

Pre ordered delivered on time, a lovely hot Chinese meal, sweet n sour chicken balls cooked beautifully and crispy, special fried rice was gorgeous and so was the lovely crispy pancake rolls. Never had anything to complain about with meals from here.

My go to Chinese in Sheffield. The food is always hot and delicious, the service is brilliant, super quick. I would recommend the chicken & prawn toast (the best I have ever had) salt and pepper crispy beef and they have some amazing all for one deals if you are ordering alone! I would definitely recommend giving New Hing Lung a try, there’s nothing to fault 🙂

It was very good- apart from the fact I ordered Curry sauce and got Sweet and Sour sauce! Not a major problem…but not what I wanted.. or ordered!

It was ok but not great, small portions and 40% of both meals were onions.

Had to reheat the chips as they were soggy and barely warm. I also had to do the same with the salt and pepper chicken. Not the best

First time using these guys and not much to complain about.. The food arrived well before the estimate, it was hot, seemed very fresh, really tasty and the portions were proper portions. It's rare to find a good quality Chinese takeaway nowerdays.. Will order again for sure.

10/10 Best s&s chicken balls in town. Chicken satay super tasty with a nice level of spice. Broccoli in garlic amazing side. Best tasting Chinese take away we have had in a long time.

Came in to try house special rice and soft noodles, ordered as well ribs and sweet and sour chicken and we are left well impressed! So far its the best Chinese we had in sheffield! Meat is well marinated, generous portions and at last but not least, sweet and sour sauce is perfect! Thank you chef!

One of the best Chineses I've had in sheffield! Super tasty, portion sizes were spot on, not too salty as I've found some Chinese to be. All in all absolutely fab, can't wait for my next chinese from here! We even had loads leftover which fed us the night after 😅 oh and let's not forget the prawn and chicken toast!! Absolutely delish👌👌

Best salt & pepper shredded chicken!

Not often am I able to afford a takeaway these days, but I struck gold when I ordered from New Hing Lung for my first time. The food is hot, well presented and tasty and plenty of it. The Fortune Cookies was a nice touch! Delivery guy was pleasant too. Highly Recommend!

Best Chinese food for a long time

Order was late and the food was mostly tasteless. Prawn crackers were the only nice thing. The person who I spoke to on the phone was also rude when I called to check where my order was.

Our favourite chinese takeaway in Sheffield! Their salt and pepper box is lovely but their crispy shredded chicken in sweet and sour or their lemon chicken are my absolute favourite! The delivery is super quick as well. We highly recommend this one!

Ordered Hong Kong Sweet & sour Chicken ...recieved battered chicken balls with a sauce, chips and curry sauce where freezing cold and the rice was tasteless.....took well over an hour to arrive and was dreadful, threw most of it in the bin..the fat oouzed out of the chicken balls..had to phone up to ask where our food was....

The best Chinese takeaway in Sheffield by far. Food ordered - chilli crispy beef, king prawn chow mein, sweet n sour chicken & chicken balls with egg fried rice. Reasonably priced, good portions and most importantly the taste is exquisite!

Food always hot and quickly. Had a few orders and all been great so far. Chicken Satay skewers are delicious. And they do a lovely side of stir fried broccoli which is great to have alongside other dishes. Also, I'm allegeric to bell peppers and they never put any in the dishes when I leave a note.

Had a nightmare with other chinese delivery services, the food was not up to scratch. Had about 9 from here lately and every one has been brilliant. They do the crispy duck extra crispy on request, teh sauces are tasty, noodles fresh, the satay is amazing and don't forget the crispy chips. Glad I found you! Number 40!

My favourite Chinese takeaway in Sheffield! They offer chicken udon which most Chinese takeaways do not :) really fresh and delicious

Food cooked fresh while you wait and always excellent - some customers say they even drive across the pennines to come back and get takeaway here! You can phone in your order and pick up. EDIT: Prices went up under new management, but still very reasonable and they now take card payments too.
