A good Chinese take away enjoyed by all. We had a range of dishes and enjoyed each one. Good food and good friendly service.

We usually except there 1.5 hour wait but now it’s even worse. Absolutely appalling service. 2.5 hours wait don’t bother

Read some reviews but gave it a try and it was really nice! We had tofu in black bean and tofu in chili and garli, fried rice and salt and pepper chips were gorgeous. Good portions, good value. Friendly staff and got free prawn crackers. Give it a try and decide for yourself.

Ordered a meal December 2022 sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice and 2 portions of veg rolls.. the veg roles were full of grease, we ate the beansprouts inside 2 of them and threw the rest in the bin and the chicken sweet and sour was the worst meal from a Chinese take away we’ve ever had. Very poor standard of food and we won’t be ordering from there again.

I have been using this place for years and since new owners took over it has gone down hill i orderd sweet and sour chicken balls with fried noodles ant toffee apple well the noodles where dripping in greese and they can not cook the chicken balls and the toffee apple where both un coocked the batter was sloppy not crisp the whole meal was awfull and my daughter said hers was the same i will not be using them again shame bring back Anne she would be horrified that they have run this place down so bad

Listen. I don't think I have too high of a bar when it comes to Scottish Chinese food. I want it hot, crispy and salty and I don't think this is too much to ask. I got in from a six hour drive with my best friend and I didn't have anything in, so she and I and my partner thought right, let's order in. Our favourite Chinese was shut and this place had an offer on. What a WRETCHED mistake. You'd think that, when ordering a munchie box, some effort might be taken to preserve the crispness of any crispy items, but not here! Here, all four SOPPING, overly sauced dishes were heaped in together beside the rice and the crispy fried chicken! Thank Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey that we didn't get chips. The journey to our flat (which took about an hour) had turned it into a thick, glooey soup, in which cornflour was the primary ingredient, and onions the second. There was no deciding what to try: like John Lennon's wet dream, there were no countries, borders, or divisions. We each had a plate of slop, and it tasted like slop, and they didn't even give us prawn crackers. Spit in my eye while you're at it, why don't you? Delivery driver was nice.

We ordered King prown curry, sweet sour chicken and salt & pepper box. They were so tasty. We tried many take away restaurants around southport but this one is the best so far.

I’ve just had a kung po chicken dinner.it was lovely and fresh.the ribs were amazing and the curry puffs are to die for.very friendly and helpful staff.Cant wait for my next meal. Also very good affordable meals especially at this time and they are full covered up adearing to the covid 19 rules in the shop.

I had a simple bog standard menu. Hot and Sour soup and Chicken Fried Noodles. The soup was bland - not sweet and definitely not sour and I’ve had more “hot” from a Curry Pot Noodle. The noodles were also bland with a mini taste of soy and they were like sloppy, floury strands of tasteless muck! I’ve been going there for years, but no more; I’ll be swapping my weekly patronage to Toms just across the road, who produce better quality food (and larger portions) and although they are a little bit more expensive, they know how to cook and please their customers with tasty food. What a sad end to a once excellent takeaway! Look to your cooks Golden Star, they’re killing your business.

We always buy our Takeaway Meals from here as we used to live just down the road. We now live over 9 miles away but still order and collect meals. Service is good, meals are ready on time and they double wrap them for us.

Since there have been new people serving/cooking, the standard had really gone down hill, some of the food is not cooked, and the chips are very bitty (some hot, some cold !). I have used this take away for years, now I will have to find somewhere else.

Fresh and tasty food , clean and the owner (Jayne) is so so friendly! Always makes you feel welcome ! I have tried most Chinese takeaways in Southport and this is by far the best!

the food was warm when it was delivered. the Singapore noodles were stuck together in a large ball, the only meat I could find in it was bits of chicken. it was mostly noodles with a few pieces of red pepper and a few bean sprouts. it was more expensive than is normally charged by other establishments but much lower in quality and a lot less variety of ingredients. I contacted the shop to let them know my opinion concerning the takeaway to which their response was :we cant do anything,no refund, no replacement,; I certainly did not want a replacement . No word of apology. I certainly would not buy any meals from them again and would not recommend them to anyone

Best takeaway Chinese I gave ever had. Arrived hot and was all cooked to perfection. Great value for money.

Tasty food with great portion sizes, good value for money. The staff are lovely, and a good range of food on the menu!

This is a take-away with a fantastic menu with Thai, Chinese, and the biggest portion of chips I've ever seen (the large one). The staff are lovely and I guess the bad review was from the previous owners. They are very busy and cook everything fresh so you will have to wait even for fish & chips but the wait is not long and it's well worth it

Have used this chinese takeaway many times,the food is always delicious and the owners are very friendly,quick service,would recommend to anyone !!!

My self and my family visited this establishment as a change for our weekly chinese ritual.Once the food was collected and i was home i opened the meals to find half missing, sloppy, wet and uncooked asif it had only been preped. I immediatly rang the owner to address this situation. I was confronted by a very rude and dismissive lady who told me id be welcome to "come and pick up the missing food but it wasnt cold!" At this point after a long day at work i became irritated heated the food up for myself my partner and my 7 year old son.The food was terrible however filled a hole after a busy day, only to find myself and my son being uncontrollably sick at 4am. I have visited the gp on call today who can confirm this is "most likey" due to the uncooked food.Once i had pulled myself together this evening i called the establishment once again to ask for answers. I explaining i would be contacting the council. I was told to "get to the doctors and contact me once youve spoken to them" ...laughing the lady put down the phone.I am livid that my son more than myself has suffered due to this companies lack of care and proffesionalism.AVOID!!

The Chinese food is very good and very reasonable. The fish is £3 and should be calld Jonah. Always large and thick.
