New Golden Delight Takeaway in East Lindsey

UPDATED REVIEW, so this Chinese has changed hands, the food has gotten bad the ribs over salted and tasted strange, the noodles they use are the thin ones and it was just tasteless, used to love going to this Chinese, looks like I'll have to go to another one...

Has changed hands and was a waste of money... all tasteless, rubber chicken, chewy ribs, undercooked chips, crackers like cardboard

Best place to have a takeaway from. Always use them, lovely food.

Absolutely fantastic food! Super tasty and excellent portion size.

Wonderful dining experience with amazing food and friendly service. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, making it the ideal place for a relaxing meal.

Lovely food only chinese i will use

I ordered at least 45 mins before closing time. I was “supposed” to receive 2 chicken curry one with veg and one without veg. I then went to collect my food there is were I payed for my meal. As I get into the car they close 10 mins early. I get home to find I only have one curry. We then tried calling and even going back to the shop and knocking the n the door. Where I was ignored. The chicken was also undercooked and it was lukewarm. So disappointed as we were regular customers. I’ll only be going back there to collect my money they owe me for my missing curry.

Food was horrible after waiting half hour for it only decent thing was the chips definitely would not recommend it

Amazing food never have to wait to long as food is always cooked fresh so is well worth the wait. I often ring up to order then pick it up always welcomed with a nice smile .

On Holiday. Purchased a family takeaway, reasonable price, hot and tasty food. Would recommend.

Extremely disappointed ☹️ ordered 1 special curry 1 special chow main no bean sprouts 1 mushroom chow main Took around 40 mins to get our order which normal I wouldn't mind coz the food is amazing but today was horrible Special curry didn't have any chicken in it and only a small amount of beef Special chow main no bean sprouts for some.reason then added mushrooms which I hate (the wife had the mushroom chow main) , baby corn , and some other veg , there was no chicken , sauce seemed to be put over not mixed in Was really disappointed considering my previous review not sure if I'll give it another shot only time will tell 5*Previous review - Beautiful.chinese we keep.coming back easily best in alford by a 10000 miles

Brought a Chinese from this takeaway. Never used them before and won't be using them again. It was the worst Chinese I'd ever had.

Cash only. Food was ok but had better. Good value. Was the only Chinese open on a Tuesday.

The food tasted nice, but i thought it could have been alot hotter and there was a long wait. Got home and it was luke warm. Was not an enjoyable experience overall unfortunately.

This is probably the worst takeaway we have ever had. What was supposed to be king prawns in batter turned out to be microscopic shrimps with the batter being about 80% of each parcel. The batter was thick, hard and stogy. Same for the sweet and sour chicken. The rice was a mixture of what seemed to be a collection of left overs from various other dishes with little rice.. We had to throw it away. Simply could not eat this. We cannot recommend this takeaway to anybody and this is our first and last visit here.

Very good food and prompt with orders

A very nice place, well cooked and polite service and ready for collection on time.

Will never eat here again, only managed to eat the chips. The bbq ribs had a funny taste and were dry/burned and the duck with cashew nuts was 90% fat and the sauce was congealed . It clearly wasn't duck breast in parts as it was all veiny/stringy. £3 for salt and chilli chips for a normal portion of chips with 3 slices of chilli. None of the meal was fresh. Will stick to the place I'm used to

Mingin, and they got the order wrong, only take cash so you can't get a refund. The bin ate most of it.

Very busy Saturday evening 1 hour wait but was worth it, very tasty meal and still hot by the time we got back to woodthorpe.

Disappointed. The duck dish with wraps was just bits of dried duck crumbs. Looked like floor sweeping. Mushroom dish was cold Overall, thoroughly disappointed and probably not use the takeaway again.

Most dishes were tasteless and bland.

Never understood how some takeaways can still get away with cash only. Brilliant food though. 5 star rating. The Pink Marigold glove amused me that came through the hole to take my cash. 100% Recommended. Parking available outside

What a terrible shame. We ate here last year before lockdown, and had a wonderful meal. Sadly, this time has not been an enjoyable experience at all. The food was beyond bland, and inedible completely with some dishes. The food was woody, hard and flavourless with watery chicken pieces to top it off. We only visit a few times a year, but will listen to local opinoin and eat elsewhere going forward.

Nom, Nom, Nom.. No complaints here.. Lovely food, with plenty of meat and a decent sized portion too. As others have said - almost clairvoyant with the speed of service but always piping hot.. Yes, it's cash only but honestly, not a deal breaker - it probably helps keep prices lower anyway.. Like Chinese? Near Alford? Why not pop in?? - it'll be rude not to..

Lovely food, lovely people and the fastest service I've had in a long time! Almost like fast food it's that quick. A regular stop for me and would recommend for all.

Excellent food, cooked too order and friendly service! I had lost my faith in Chinese takeaways until I discovered the Golden Delight, which is quite simply the best Chinese food I've ever had. The only downside for me is that the curry dishes are too hot but its not a big enough deal for me to downmark them, just personal taste.

Excellent food at a decent price, never have to wait too long either.

Held on for 2 minutes when I called to place an order. They don't take cards but don't advertise this or tell you when you order, so you then have to find a cash machine. The batter was too thick on the chicken balls and not cooked properly. Was barely warm by the time i had got cash out then got home. I am on holiday so won't be visiting again or recommending!

First & Last !, Ordered sweet & Sour king prawn balls, whilst the portion was good, the prawn balls were disgusting. the batter was thick & under cooked,& the prawns tasteless & small.

Probably the best Chinese Takeaway I've had. Good price, the food tastes freshly prepared & not too greasy like some places
