New Garden in North Somerset

Ordered a meal after having a sad day due to being at a family funeral and thought i would treat the family to a take away. But after collecting my food I found out I was one dish short so I called back and was told that i would have to pay for anouther dish as she read the order back which was done on such a fast way that you could barely hear what they said. Even though I asked her about the item and she said that it was on there. Discuvering this out i priced up the dishes and had been over charged and when i made a point of that all i got told was that i had an old menu( which couldnt be possible as i picked a new menu up the week before on passing) and that i was in the wrong. Mind you at this time i had my food at home going cold and was treated like i didnt matter. Myself and my partner both work in hospital as a Sous chef and a foh manager both know that the customer is always Wright and where discusseted by the disrespect and attitude given to myself about the situation. So to sumerise I was overcharged for the wrong thing I ordered and was spoke to with no respect. What a bad way to end my upsetting day.

I used to use this place at least once or twice a month, great selection, good food and the only Chinese in Nailsea that delivers. The last time I used them the food was very late and not to the expected standard. I called this evening to place an order for delivery (as I said the only Chinese that deliver locally) and they now do not accept card payment over the phone!!!! In the current environment only accepting cash is not only inconsiderate but also a public health risk. Sort it oht or you will ose more custom!!!

Ordered takeaway. Stoppard to take 40 mins took 70 and when arrived one of the dishes wad too salty to eat. Very disappointing.

Thought we would try out the delivery service as we couldn't be bothered to cook, happy to say it was fantastic, easy to order over the phone who needs an app lol, food arrived promptly and hot. One of the best Chinese we have had In a while will happily order again.

We moved to nailsea last year and since then new gardens has been our go to takeaway. Was always good grub but last 2 times ordering its been horrible, overcooked sweet and sour chicken balls so the chicken is dry and hard.But the last visit was probably the worst Ordered a few chicken currys and opening the containers it was litrally a thick jelly curry paste and all the ingredients were at the bottom. I dont mind mixing it up if they didnt have time but the curry paste was warm and just like jelly tasted vile.We wont be eating there again.

I'm happy to say this has become my regular takeaway of choice. They're one of the few places that will deliver to Backwell, and though they can be busy on Saturday, they've never let me down. The food is always tasty, portions are generous and prices are reasonable. I recommend their salt & shilli chicken and the Singapore vermicelli.

Go every week, the food is fresh and very tasty. I've had a lot of Chinese over the years and this is one of the best I have had.
