Nothing but good things to say about New Fortune Inn! Ordered at 4.40pm on a Saturday and it arrived at 5pm!! Piping hot, delicious and all containers full to the brim. Every time I order from here I'm impressed! Thank you, keep up the great service!

Check the time it started at 35min ordered then changed to nearly 2hours had to pick it up myself

absolutely shocking the delivery driver rang me at 18 55 to say she had left it on the doorstep of my house because there was no doorbell I do have a doorbell that works perfectly fine also CCTV she said I haven't got time to wait around I've got things to do i go outside look around nothing go to look at the neighbour doors nothing I call her no answer call the restaurant they the man who answered said I can't do anything as I'll get the same as you calling her. no food deliverd to me at all.

Pad Kee Mao was particularly good. Really flavorful salt and pepper chips.

Really lovely food! The rice and noodles were perfect. All the meat was perfectly cooked and nice quality. Really good portion sizes of prawn crackers. Would order from them again.

the worst thai green curry I've ever had. everything else was just.....ok

Chips aren't chips they're fries, they were dried out, overcooked or precooked & almost cold. The curry sauce is so thick it doesn't pour out & wasn't very hot. The rest of the food, chow me in, char sui & Hong Kong chicken was lovely.

The man at the counter is always very polite and the food is always great. Anyone moaning is fussy, it’s takeaway Chinese not the Ritz. Great food and portions for the prices. They deliver too

Do not order Thai food. The pad Thai is so sweet? And the noodles were so mushy. Inedible, I chucked it.

Food was not good. The tofu was so over cooked it was crunchy and inedible. The prawn balls were all batter and barely any prawn. The chow mein was ok

All the food I order was full of sugar. We oder food worth £35 but did not enjoy any of it , as it was full of sugar. We couldn't tast the flavour , but sugar. The wost Chinese takeaway I have ever had . Not good for the health at all main meal full of sugar!!!! Health authorities should know this .

I ordered the chicken and duck, and I’m truly impressed! Both dishes were exceptionally fresh and perfectly seasoned. The rice was the best I've ever had – I never thought rice could taste so unique, as it usually seems the same. Excellent quality food and quick delivery! I definitely recommend it and will be ordering again soon!

The Pad Thai was lukewarm and the Thai crackers were stale rather than crunchy. Very disappointed.

Not great food. Chips overcooked and dry. Prawn balls tough. Batter like cardboard. All veg and hardly any meat in the chicken dish. Won’t be ordering from here again I’m afraid.

The soup and chicken chow main were nice but the veg crispy rolls were not crispy n very small definitely NOT worth nearly £5

The food was too salt and sweet, parts of it was also rancid. It was obvious old cooking oil had been used. I couldn’t eat after spending nearly £50. Never again.

Service via deliveroo was amazing Food was awful. Lumps of cornstarch in the curry. Full of salt. No difference between the 2 curried varieties. Cheap way of cooking. I wish I had picked another Chinese place. Anyhow

the mock duck meat was hard, dry, lumpy and unedible it wasnt like anything ive had from them before. had to bin it. The rest of order was ok.

The sweet and sour prawn Hong Kong style was horrible! I took one bite and threw it in the bin: (1) The sweet and sour sauce was bitter and a watery texture (2) The prawn batter didn’t taste fresh and looked/tasted that it had been refried. The chow mein is always good and was good. Then it was delivered very quickly. Overall experience wasn’t good.

Black bean sauce never had lot of flavour but everything else was nice and hot

It has been a while since I’ve eaten such terrible food. Everything was tasteless, I went with this place cus my usual restaurant was closed and never again. The only redeeming aspect is that you get large portions, but who wants massive portions of slop? Chinese restaurant can’t even make simple fried rice..really beggars belief.

We've ordered a few times from here now and it is always brilliant. It comes quickly and it's the best king prawn sweet and sour and lemon chicken I have had in a long time. Plus the dishes are actual portions rather than a scrap of meat here and there amongst the veg like many places nowadays. Hands down the best around

best sweet & sour i've tried in years

I have been ordered from this Chinese for approx a year and honestly it’s great! The food was not greasy which I usually find with most Chinese places and the food was just perfect, not too salty and not too sweet. The perfect taste, I’ve seen they have some bad reviews from a year ago or so but not sure if the management has changed because this place is in my top 3 Chinese takeaways I have ever tried. The portions are decent size aswell so we always get left overs for next day.

Chinese Mixed Platter. OK but ribs small, tough on larger ones, tasteless extras, prawns OK. seaweed (fried cabbage) tasted old and overcooked. Quantity on ribs and prawns small. Malaysian Kung Po Stir Fry. Chicken tough, sauce OK, vegetables also tough. Steamed Jasmine Rice. Can't go wrong with rice in a microwave. King Prawn Sweet & Sour Sauce Hong Kong Style. Large, sauce OK but again tough. Delivery was way too quick, 15 mins from ordering which set alarm bells ringing. Turned out to be because nothing was freshly cooked, it was all just thrown in a microwave making the prawns, chicken etc overly tough. First time we have ordered here, thought we'd try because it was close. Could probably win an award for 'MIcrowave Monday'. Would never order again, everything overcooked and reheated and old.

My order took over an hour to arrive. I wouldn't have minded but the black bean sauce was unbelievably watery. I had to throw it away. I'm disappointed because the last time I ordered this sauce, it was excellent which was why I came back. I won't be ordering food from here again.
