Was made to feel really welcome in the wacky house by a woman called libby, good job and great care with the children, a real credit to your team

Absolutely fantastic pub experience! We visited recently and were blown away by the exceptional service, especially from our host, Nick. From the moment we walked in, he was incredibly welcoming and attentive. What truly stood out was his patience and genuine helpfulness with our little one, who is notoriously fussy when it comes to food. Nick went above and beyond, offering suggestions and even liaising with the chef to create something our child would enjoy. Speaking of the chef, they were equally amazing! They were so accommodating and understanding, clearly putting in extra effort to ensure our child had a delicious and satisfying meal. It's rare to find a pub where both the front-of-house and kitchen staff are so dedicated to customer satisfaction, especially when it comes to children. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the drinks were great, and the food (for the adults!) was delicious. But it was the kindness and helpfulness of Nick and the chef that truly made our visit memorable. We'll definitely be returning and highly recommend this pub to anyone, especially families with young children. Thank you, Nick and the team, for a wonderful afternoon!

Went here for a carvery, the chef on the deck Owen was really friendly. We were served by Nelly who was very polite and went out of her way to help us. The food was nice and warm with a great price.

Attended tonight for granddaughters 9th birthday tea. Had a lovely evening, staff very welcoming and friendly couldn't do enough for us. Meals as always lovely. Lovely evening. Our server Nelly who also served us last year when she turned 8 was amazing. Went above and beyond.....what a brilliant member of the team.

Went for a carvery last week it was lovely,the Chef was very welcoming didn’t catch his name. Decided to take the children to the adjoining Wacky Warehouse they absolutely loved it,the staff on duty really interacted with all the children. The place itself is quite old and worn but that certainly didn’t stop the cleanliness.Big thanks to Libby and Bryony for making our visit a memorable one !!!

Fantastic Soft Play Experience at Wacky Warehouse! We had a wonderful time at Wacky Warehouse! The soft play area is perfect for kids, with plenty of space to run, climb, and explore. The equipment is clean, well-maintained, and offers lots of fun activities to keep little ones entertained for hours. A special shoutout to Libby, who made our visit even better! She was friendly, attentive, and went out of her way to ensure everything was running smoothly. Her warm and welcoming attitude made a real difference, and she was fantastic with the children. If you’re looking for a fun, safe, and well-run soft play, Wacky Warehouse is definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back soon!

I'm not normally one for leaving reviews but I have been coming back here in between night shifts over the winter. The reason I keep coming back is because the mixed grill is amazing. I like steak medium rare and it comes out absolutely spot on every single time. All the meat is cooked to perfection and the egg always has a nice runny yolk! The portion size is good and value for money. The service is friendly and polite and the food comes out always much sooner than I would expect, even when they are busy. I don't have any negatives.

The pub is incredible! Carvery is excellent and the service is always lovely. Great selection of drinks as well. Been going for a long time and always delighted by the quality of the food.

Service is excellent- Elle is an icon. We go every Monday for the excellent carvery and pub quiz. Accessibility is great, we have two blue badge holders in the family and never have any problems.

Elle was such a good waitress, so kind and polite, very respectful of people. Great food and drinks too.

I came in the middle of the day whilst waiting for my MOT to be done across the road. The pub was a good level of busy with numerous groups dotted about the pub creating a pleasant atmosphere. They had a carvery ongoing during my stay - a local favourite, especially with the older generation it seems. The waiter I had was a very pleasant man who made sure I had everything I needed, spent a small time having a conversation with me - during which he managed to (easily) convince me to have the ultimate ice cream Sunday. He ran it through the till and brought me the card machine so I didn't even need to stand up and walk - something I will definitely need to do more of after having the chick n mix and ultimate dessert. I've been a few times to this pub, as I used to live just around the corner. It's a good pub, good location and has a soft stay and play area for children to burn off thier extra energy, so is suitable for families. Food is well priced with a good portion size, drinks are a little more pricey than other venues I've visited, average price for a pint is around £5. They don't have a great selection for draft cider, but do have more options in bottles, these are a little more than pints at around £5.50, though they do have a 2 for £6 deal on selected options which is fair. Can and does get very busy in the evenings and weekends, especially if bigger football matches are being shown. They did also host DJs and pub quizzes, but I haven't been to any of them in a long time so not confident on how often these are anymore. Overall, would recommend for somewhere to get food and a drink during the day

Was pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good, we had sunday lunch, staff friendly and courteous. Not top many kids when we went in. Place needs good tidy/clean/make over though.

I had a great visit we came at 10 30 and stayed till 2 we had a great lunch i had a carvery which was very nice lots of choice and all tasted great we went in the kids soft play which was a great hit with 3 little ones definitely hope to come again soon

Best carvery in the area and great value for money. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Good selection of drinks. Staff always acknowledge you and ask if everything is okay when clearing plates. Clean and comfortable pub.

The worst service ever. Had a large group booking. Booked weeks in advance, we even gave them the food order days in advance. Booked for 5 pm, got there i bit earlier but started bringing food out a 4.45 before everyone was there, even after being asked if we were ready for the food and telling them no. From the time food started coming out there was 10 min gaps in between. The last two plates of food took another 20 mins to come. Wrong food came. In the end last person didn't eat. Staff had no idea what was going on. Cheesy chips had no cheese on. No sorry no refund. What a joke.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Carvery Meats, potatoes, and vegetables. Everything was hot,it looked and tasted lovely. The only reason I gave the food 4* is the fact that although the meat is very tasty it is cut extremely thinly.

Cant really comment much about this pub as we didnt stay long. We had intended eating there but there was a massive queue at the bar and it didnt seem to be going down quickly. At the time we were there, there were only 2 members of staff serving.

Booked wacky warehouse for two children online very easy. Warm welcome on arrival allocated own table. Food good as both children ate free good value for money. Both children enjoyed the play area

We travel from burton on Trent just to come the the wacky warehouse here. I suffer from real bad anxiety and bring my 7 children here food is great. And the lady that runs the wacky libby her name made us feel so welcome is very polite and friendly and this is why we keep going back she is a great credit to the pub

I went to the Wacky Warehouse part of the pub with three of my grandchildren, plus their friend. I was greeted by a lovely member of Staff called Libby who was really very helpful in finding me a table and chair in a very busy area. Nothing was too much trouble for her an asset to the place. Food was absolutely beautiful, very ideal with having a Wacky Warehouse. Staff in the Wacky Warehouse was lovely too - Libby & Tyler. It was clean and the toilets were spotless (usually find they're awful in the North Wales Wacky Warehouse).

Absolutely fabulous. Santa was really good, great interaction with both adults and children. Felt well organised and calm. The blowing bubbles and balloons were a hit with children. Thank you Libby for the nice touches.

We came for a Christmas meal from work. It was lovely, the meal was great and good value for money. The guy that looked after us, Glen, was very helpful and friendly. We come for every special work meal as we always find a welcoming atmosphere. Would recommend for large groups.
