I ordered food at around 10 to 2 in the morning and not only did it not arrive until after 3 in the morning, they were extremely rude on the phone when asking how long the wait was. They said multiple times it was ‘5 minutes away’ and after this blocked my number so i could no longer call them. When my food finally arrived, when asking if there was any compensation i could receive after waiting over 1 hour and a half for the order, the driver snatched the food back out of my hand, chucked it in his car, swore at me multiple times and sped away nearly running over my friend on the pavement. Totally unacceptable and will never ever be ordering from them again

Very very rude. Constantly said ‘what’ after everything my partner said over the phone. They took our order and after an hour my partner rang up to ask how long it would be and she laughed and put the phone down. Thank god we didn’t pay over the phone. Absolutely rubbish customer service.

Trying to park anywhere near a Mutley takeaway is a hassle at any time of day or night but this place is two minutes away, sunk deep in a residential area and there are always spaces close to this corner site on Ashford Road. Nip down Connaught Avenue or Lisson Grove, collect and slip back Belgrave Road or up the hill and out via College Avenue. The selection of food on the menu is surprisingly broad and while not cheap the prices are fair and average. The hours on the website are 5pm till 3am seven days a week but an internet listing suggested closing at 11 or variations because of Covid. It’s a friendly shop. The signage suggests some rugby connection. Our experience here was good but, although we shop around and cook a lot at home, we will use this place again.

Ordered a meal deal online looks as if they trampeled on the bread it wasn't toasted it was the smallest 6 inch I have got, minimum contents looks like they just slapped it together. The cookie was tiny and just about cooked. Never order from this one again. Paid a lot of money for rubbish food.

Yesterday I was in the queue with friends and there was two staff members the young lady was lovely but the other lady whom I’m guessing is early 50’s was rude. She took pictures of us in the queue and didn’t ask for consent. She just said I’m taking pictures for my boss. And took them. Which wasn’t appreciated. I wouldn’t go into any company and take pictures of the staff. Especially with no consent. I felt sorry for the younger female staff who tried to get the queue down as fast as she could.

I give 2 stars for service because the female worker was so helpful to get my order sent finally after an hour. The manger of the store should really change his attitude or job he's in the wrong game told me my food would be there in 2 minutes it took 25 he didn't give a shit. The woman was so helpful she should be manager! The food was absolutely dogshit as well only ate it because I was so hungry and couldn't be asked to ask for a refund as it didn't look plausible after what I read online. I never do online reviews but this felt necessary. The food cost £20 so not cheap.

This is not a noticeably good pub for food. On the lower side of ordinary. there are other places to eat in bigbury, not least the generally very good Oyster Shack. people who view this on the Plymouth listing should not be put off the wholly acceptable Royal oak pub at Hooe on the Plymstock Turnchapel side of Plymouth or the sometimes too busy and slapdash but largely OK Royal oak at Meavy.
