New Century Hot Food Takeaway in Fife

If like a plate of noodles, this place is for you! Not the Special Chow Mein I was expecting. For this price I can get more than a plate of plain noodles.

Carry out only. No seating area etc. Decent fast carry out and good parking nearby too. Whats not to like.... And the food was very good indeed. Great menu for all to enjoy.

Good food and fairly priced . Good value and easy parking just across the road. Will use again😊 as it is very convenient for us and parking important. Don't forget to try the salt and pepper spare ribs

Stopped by for a late supper. Chose the Four (full size) dishes for £14. Good value. Good ribs, Beef Chow Mein, Chicken Foo Yung & Excellent Yung Chow Rice. Even got a bag of crackers. (Park in Tesco and walk across the road, as parking is tight)

Love the new munchy box menu. Quite good value for money but why no offer noodles in it? Ones nearby do but their food isn't as good.

Finding anything tasty, vegetarian and not a pizza is a nightmare in takeaways, but the tofu they do here is amazing and so tasty. If they had an online ordering service we'd go here every week as the food is always yummy and they are so good at catering for all our individual needs.

We both had sweet and sour chicken in batter with fried rice. Nothing short of Magnificent. Generous portions, great service, wonderful food.

The one thing I like about this carryout Chinese is the quality is always the same .,Chicken Chow Mein ,Chicken sweet and sour Cantonese style and King Prawn ,Spring onion and ginger …….Scrumptious !

First taste, excellent, will return. The king prawn curry was all that it should be with nice crunchy onions. The chicken was extremely good and the fried rice was plentiful. Overall nom, nom, NOM.

This takeaway is so handy ,you can park in Tesco across the road and pick your selection . I tend to phone in as it is just a fast pick up . But you do not have to wait long after putting an order in . Staff are great with the irrepressible Susie behind the counter to put a smile on your face .Closed on Tuesdays but open from 4.30pm for the rest of the week

well worth the visit have tried most of the meals .. best in the town if you like chinese the best go there

Had a few good orders from here. But had one order cancelled by the takeaway not long back for some reason? Will just head somewhere else in the future.

Low Quality food not worth the money, I love Chinese takeaways but this time it was terrible I put it in the bin. Go back to my previous Chinese takeaway better.

Ordered for pick up through a popular takeaway app. Specified collection at a specific time. The food wasn't ready and my wife had to wait around for it. This appears common for New Century and they really need to work on it. That said, the food is good and we carry on using them for that reason.

I left no ratingforbthw delivery time as its was over half an hour late and when I phone to ask why the extremely rude woman on the other end shouted "it's on way!!!!" and then hung up, this is the second time she's done that and must be well over the 5th time it's been over half an hour past the delivery time, I would normally forgive it as the foods always good and we always order a lot as its good value for money but last night was ridiculous, the rice was all stuck together, the crispy beef??(well I'm assuming it was beef) I couldn't tell as it was all just batter, the honey chicken wings were horribly sweet, way to much 5 spice in the BBQ sauce and to top it all off EVERYTHING was FREEZING, not just cold.....like actually freezing! Ridiculous for the amount of money we pay every time, no customer service for loyal customers and not even an explanation as to why it was late, the driver handed it over and almost ran to his car....meaning he obviously knew it was freezing and well pasts the time, so disappointed with you guys, you's have lost some very loyal customers and from the looks of ur reviews your getting worse and worse! Time to shape up I think!!!

Definitely would order from here again great food, very nice and fresh! The delivery time was Impeccable and the delivery person is very polite. Food was seriously yummy!

Had to go and collect order as estimated time changed by an extra half hour and we could nit wait that long due to other arrangements tonight. Was not offered my delivery money back

The food as always was amazing, we order from here regularly and it's always consistent, the only negatives I have this time are that the honey and chilli ribs are basically indelible, cooked for way to long, I tried them again this time to give u guys the benefit of the doubt but both times they've been like leather, sauce is lovely but meat was thrown out again unfortunately, I then tried something new this time, always been a fan of the dumpling so I ordered the prawn and pork Har Kar, this again was inedible.....the filling was literally mush and tasted of shrimp paste and the dumpling dough was way to think and gluggy as hell, apart from that we ordered a number of dishes and have done so for a while, I hope they reconsider cooking times for ribs in the future as a lot of the food from here is near perfect!

Quick delivery, food hot and very tasty.

Made an online purchase through just eat and paid by card as i had no funds on me. Delivery driver then wanted paid. The whole idea of using just eat and paying by card is to prevent this issue! I presume this is an issue with just eat and not the takeaway.

Really unhappy with the length of time for delivery when time stated 45mins to an hour - called after 1 hrs and 30mins to be told it wasn't made as they were busy NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Then when asked for money to be refunded and cancel got told they couldn't because ordered through Just Eat and than had to wait a further 30mins for delivery

2 hours to deliver. Two phone calls where we were told it was out for delivery, then it was still to be cooked (after 90mins) Food was ok although duck chow mein did taste more like bbq.

Abysmal delivery. Ordered my meal at 5:45pm to be delivered at 7:30pm. Called after the online service said it had been delivered at 7:40pm which it hadn't and was told it was just about to be cooked 20 mins after it was meant to be delivered!! Had better food from other establishments. Food was over greasy. Food was suspect to be old/recooked. Chicken was not cooked right. Not value for money.

Was concerned when I arrived as they seemed overwhelmed and not well organised. Not sure if the food was ready on time, but it was given 5 minutes late. It was very tasty, though and a generous portion of main ingredient (tofu). That said, I paid for extra mushrooms and either there weren't any, or it was a small portion of mushrooms.

I received the wrong order. Phoned new century to say. Delivery driver returned 20 mins later. I asked if but was a fresh order. He said yes. So I said you were back at shop he said yes then gave me my order. I said this bag is open he said he opened it to make sure it was ok. It wasn't a fresh order & the food was stone cold. I simply couldn't eat it. I'm very very unhappy about this as being a pensioner the £13.80 was a large amount for me to lose & I think some sort of compensation should be issued immediately. I also had no resource to reheat this. Don't think it should be reheated yet again. I await comeback on this. If not, I will take it further

We've used the New Century many times without any issues, however have noticed a decline the last twice we've used them. The last time, we waited 2hrs for our food which involved various phone calls of promises the food was on the way, only for it to be lies as they finally admitted they had lost the order and only a lame apology given. Given their previous record we thought this was just down to being busy and was probably a one off, so we ordered again last night. Thinking as it was a Wednesday it shouldn't be so busy, alas this wasn't to be the case. Waited 10mins after confirmation time before calling, to be told the food was just being cooked and it would be with us in 10mins, lady apologised and said we would be given something free. Incredibly the delivery guy turned up a minute later, minus the something free......New Century if you're going to lie, get your excuses straight first. Your food is good, but service needs a lot of work, sadly we won't be back.

Has the management changed? Ordered what I usually do and it was not the standard it usually is. Used to be the best Chinese in dunfermline in my opinion. Standards are slipping! Came 20 minutes before delivery time. I would rather wait if it tastes better.

I've tried the other Chinese places in Dunfermline and none of them have got a thing on this place! Portion sizes are perfect and the option to add cashews and mushrooms is the best thing! No one else does bbq chicken wings like New Century. They are an absolute delight! Sometimes a little bit slow on delivery, but obviously as they are the best, they must be busy!

The crab claws were amazing special fried rice tasted burnt and very salty with soy sauce and chow mein tasted the same.would not recommend. Delivery driver rude as well.

Foods normally good but took 2 hours to arrive, and three phone calls, with promise of it being 10 min away.

Food arrived quickly. Spring rolls and won tons were piping hot and very crispy..Delicious! Fried rice and lemon chicken as always was v.nice, the crispy shredded beef in chilli sauce was ok, could have been more saucy n defo more spicy, found the dish quite sweet which is not to our taste..

Due to a mix up my delivery was delayed. However new century were very apologetic and delivered my meal swiftly. Best crispy beef ever :-)

Had to wait 2 hours for meal to be delivered, called twice to be told on way, clearly a lie. Don't pay cash because sometimes if busy they just won't deliver. It has happened before. Food is average but service and delivery is shocking. Wouldn't use again.

You have completely changed my opinion on yourselves. I ordered my food at 6pm and had an expected delivery time of 7.15pm. The time then changed to 7.45pm. It is now 8.29 and it is not acceptable whatsoever.
