Neptune Fish & Chips in Sheffield

Guys absolute quality popped in today with my family had fish chips and peas absolutely amazing and it,s family run business absolutely amazing. The food is to die for check it out

If you want gluten free then this is the place to go! I’ve had no issues at all which just shows how they care about allergies and cross contamination! Can’t wait to go back :)

Went tonight, had a large chips, mushy peas and a Greek salad, with a Diet Coke and was given a free potato scallop. Came to about £10. Enough for two meals easy so going to have it all again got lunch tomorrow! I am vegetarian and need to be Gluten Free as I have coeliac. Really knowledge and lovely staff who were just great. Very tasty food. The salad was all fresh and VERY tasty, chips cooked to perfection and best of all GLUTEN FREE!!!!! Brilliant 🤩 I’ll spread the word and will use again! Yum!!!!

I went on a Sunday evening at about 6pm and was amazed at how popular this place was. The portions were huge and quality was good.

The gluten-free fish n chips are usually good. No problems. But on one occasion the chips looked and tasted like they were leftover from an earlier opening and a bit soggy so not so good, but that was a one-off. They use a separate fryer for gluten-free frying. In general, this is a good place to get gluten-free fish n chips.

Fish both ordinary and gluten free really tasty but chips were cold, might have benn due to a big order but when you pay £30 plus you expect the chips to be hot. 3minute drive home and chips were luke warm.

I’ve been coeliac for 2 years and it’s a big adjustment to make so it’s a nice surprise to find a chippy that offers gf fish n chips just a short distance from my home. So that was my plan for a birthday supper. The staff were lovely and friendly, the food is cooked freshly to order and the portions were huge. The batter was crispy and light and it was so good to know I can have gf fish n chips so close to home.

Great tasting fish and chips - huge portion of chips and a giant haddock. The lady was ultra friendly so I could not fault. I would definitely return!

Gluten free chips & curry!!! The best chips I’ve ever had. To make it even better they have gluten free curry & vinegar. I was in heaven!!! As a coeliac I don’t have many places I can go and get this. Just brilliant!

This was the most awful fish and chip experience we’ve ever had! Now I have to be GF I was really excited at the prospect of my meal but the batter OOZED grease. It was nauseating. The fish inside was nothing special by way of compensation either. Even thinking it might have just been a bad day I cannot bring myself to return; too sickly was the experience. It might mean I can’t get GF fish and chips locally at all but I’d rather live with that thought!

Very grateful to have found this place which was one of very few places which cater for the gluten free requirements of my wife, who has coeliacs disease. Staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable on the strict dietary requirements facing people with coeliacs disease. Food was reasonably priced, tasty and well prepared. Portion sizes were also epic (we could not finish it all and therefore the cat got a real treat out of it too!). They also sold gluten free vinegar, which is something I've struggled to find even in supermarkets! My wife was very grateful, as this was the first time she jas had fish and chips for a while, or any fast food for that matter! Thank you and no doubt see you again soon.

Finally managed to visit Neptunes when it was open... and it was worth the wait! Delicious and crispy fish and chips fresh out of the frier. Great value for money which is rare for gluten free food. Will be visiting again soon. Highly recommend for coeliac and non-coeliacs alike!

Delicious gluten free fish and chips! They're very careful with the gluten free food. We enjoy their food regularly and find the portion sizes are always very generous (2 large fish and one large chips serves our hungry family of 2 adults and two kids under 10). We also have food sensitivities to dairy and soya in our family, and no one has problems eating they're fish and chips (definitely check about your own dietary requirements though!). Friendly and helpful staff. Order in advance but phone.
