Apologies for the late review. We had takeaway from here a couple weeks ago on a Sunday , our usual fish and chip shop is shut on a Sunday in Elm Park but my husband wanted fish and chips and we decided on this plaice . We have lived in elm park for 10 years now and haven’t eaten here for a few years. It didn’t disappoint. I had rock eel my husband had cod, the children had burgers . He said it’s one of the best cod he’s eaten recently and I really enjoyed my rock eel, apologies didn’t ask the children about the burgers but they didn’t complain or leave any . My husband got chatting to someone about skewers and he said the staff were really friendly. We would definitely go again and the prices are good . The chips weren’t greasy and were cooked perfectly . Neither was the fish , the fish were spot on . Nothing negative to say here.

Sorry to have to write this but Nemos Plaice is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Portions have got smaller, the quality is not as good, and it is now really expensive. May come back one day.

Used to use rumbles but quality not as good as it used to be. So tried nemos plaice The cod was very good like rumbles used to be before thry went downhill. Batter crisp and chips plentiful will be using again

Hadn’t been in for a couple of years since I last had the dodgiest lamb diner ever - the texture was unusual and it tasted of pepperoni. Wherever they got it from is questionable. Anyway, I ordered a large chicken shish and couldn’t believe how little chicken there was. Also, the pita bread was placed at the bottom of the plastic carton so it was wet and stodgy and inedible by the time I got home a few mins later. They make great chips but the kebabs are really really poor.

If you’re looking for awful food. Come no further than nemo’s plaice... it’s pretty much the worst takeaway in the RM12 Postcode!

The worst takeaway ever. Paid 15.50 for a mixed keebab, hardly anything in it. (5 small pieces of lamb, 5 small peices of chicken and half the donner meat of a medium keebab) All of which was burnt, dry and inediable. Tried asking what I had paid over 15 pound for and was sworn at. Customer service at its best. I will never recommend or eat here again. Seriously take the car or grab a cab and go to Hornchurch Charchol Grill.

We ordered from this place and had to wait a further 45 minutes than the expected wait time. When they eventually turned up they got the order wrong and we had to get a replacement item, while everyone started eating one person had to wait. At first they said 15 minutes but eventually it ended up being another 49 minutes. The staff could have called to say they were running late etc. but they opted to say nothing and just take orders they could not fulfill on THEIR agreed times. Very poor service and the food was not all that. Won't be using again.

Doner Burger mix, saveloy, and battered sausage. All new to me, and all were great from Nemo's. I love it so much, I came back a couple of times during my stay just a couple of houses down from Nemo's.

The delivery took well over an hour and a follow up call the fish was tasteless and very poor quality as was the batter .Never again from there total waste of money

I have been eating from this shop for the past 4 years. The food is great, bet fish and chips around. They have just changed their chicken Shish kebab and it's amazing. This is a regular Friday treat for all of us and we love it. Great service and fast delivery.

In a world that's suddenly full of of takeaways that only do chicken, pizza or burgers, it's nice to come across a proper fish and chip shop. Nemo's does do table service, but is mostly seen as a takeaway. Delicious Cod, Plaice, Scampi ,and all the old favourites are served, including saveloys and pies. They do serve kebabs, wraps and burgers as well - but the fish and chip shop is getting rarer these days and this one is one of the best I've come across. Open from 11 am to 11pm, just around the corner from the Elm Park Tube, its well worth a visit. A few tables are inside, so if you wanted to drop in for lunch in the early afternoon , it makes a good place to stop.

What can I say, massive portion of chips, very large pieces of fish, shish kababs fresh and hot and they deliver. Great value for money. Definitely recommend it.

I always look forward to Nemos Fish and Chips when I am in the area. Possibly the best I have ever had. The portions are HUGE, which is a bonus !

Delivery was over 20 mins late, despite the fact we only live 2 mins drive away. The chips were acceptable but kebab's was cold. Delivery driver refused to apologise for being late, and they were rude when I phoned to chase things up. There's far better takeaways out there. Avoid!!

I bought many times already from Nemos ( take away mainly) and the food is always fresh and tasty. I absolutely adore their crispy fish. Highly recommended.

nemos specialise in fish and kebabs , although mainly a takeaway , there are a few table and chairs.we have always found the fish to be high quality reasonably priced and cooked well.we have not tried the kebabs yet they seem popular with the other customerswe do not live in hornchurch , but when we are in the area we always choose nemos for fish and chips.
