Far too heavy and greasy. Normally I can eat fish and chips easily and still want more. From here I struggle to finish them and feel a bit queasy. Not sure if they don’t drain them properly?

Mrs Bore and I had a salmon and ham sandwich respectively. Both really well prepared on fresh bread though just short of £10 each. The one thing preventing 5 stars is they had outside heaters that nearly singed my hair.

286 High StreetA very traditional pub - no loud music or TV, and mobile phones are banned inside. Great if you want a quiet drink and a chat - not so great if you disagree with the many rules.
