I came here on Saturday with a group of people for our summer social. I love the interior decor but I didn’t think the vegetarian option through which I don’t like but that’s my mistake. Unfortunately I got unwell this night, not because of the food but because of the drink I had which was strange. I hope to be back but on another day so I can have a more positive experience and change the stars and review.

Stumbled in here while on a night out with friends and thought we'd travelled back in time. Absolutely fantastic. Shame the beer pumps were modern ones, I think if they were the old style clickers ones with the box display it would have added to the experience but I understand why this isn't an option. Refreshing to have something a bit different.

Decent little place, there's only one small bar so takes a while to get served.

What a great idea, and took me straight back to the Working Mens Clubs of the 80s. All that was missing was the smokey atmosphere, if they could replicate that it would be perfect.

Didn't try the food. Reasonable drinks offer. Pretty pricey and not the friendliest service, but fine. Decent tunes. Retro vibe with trestle tables and not matching furniture. First time we've been. Good to try out.

Staff so friendly, great location and we've always loved the gravy train but only just got chance to checkout neepsend social, place has a great atmosphere and the poutine was amazing as expected!

Went for the drag bingo event with Bipolar hosting the evening. They were funny and charming as well as getting the whole room involved in activities and creating a fun environment. I had the Pioneer poutine, the portion was generous and reasonably priced. The team was friendly and welcoming and despite having busy periods service remained swift. Overall a lovely addition to the Kelham island bar scene

We had get together here for a former colleague. The Owners/Management and staff went the extra mile to make our day a success, I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond to make our day better than I could've imagined. I would definitely recommend.

Love Neepsend for pub quizzing, drag bingo and Gravy Train! Poutine always hits the spot and a good choice for vegans and vegetarians too. Always underrated here.

An eclectic mix of furniture but it works. A modern twist on an old fashioned working mens club. There's a table top football game, a couple of dartboards which we enjoyed playing and a few board games.

Great food and staff highly recommended. I will return with friends again.

4th time going to Neepsend Social Club for their Drag Bingo night. Absolutely love it! Bring more and more people with us each time. Drag Queen is hilarious and welcoming. All the staff of so kind and the beer selection is great. Really yummy fried chicken too. Highly recommend it for a laugh and good time on a Thursday night, worth trekking out in the rain for! Prizes and cash jackpot add to the fun too.

This place is really great. Sunday roast was incredible, very generous with the gravy. Would absolutely recommend the bullseye quiz.

Apart from being one of the best roasts I've ever had, the Bullseye Quiz is absolutely legendary. I had a lot of fun, did not mind that I am terrible at quiz and actually enjoy such a good time.

Very accommodating for gluten free diets - both on the Sunday menu and the poutine menu.

Great vibe where you can play darts fussball or even Scrabble - and amazing Poutine!

Really enjoyed my Sunday lunch with my family here at Neepsend Social. We're local to the area, but it was the first time we've been down to try the roast dinner as it's been fully booked when we've tried previously and it didn't disappoint. It's definitely the best roast we've tried in the area and we'll be back with friends! Nice communal vibe in there as well and good selection of beers.

A stunning Sunday lunch! Beautiful, tender roast beef. Perfectly cooked parsnips and carrots. Cauliflower cheese to die for. Red cabbage and a Yorkshire pudding, as good as your grandma can make. I think the chef was working alone too?! Sensational work. Deep fried cherry pie was a real treat at the end, a truly perfect end to the meal 🍽️ 🍒

Food looked good but didn't eat. Heathen APA (American Pale Ale) is really good, my mate had a Camden beer. Card only I think, independent place, would go again!

After having a rocky start to our afternoon in Sheffield it was so nice to be welcomed with open arms at Neepsend Social Club and Canteen. There were 11 of us in total and we were so happy that we could all find seating together. We all managed to partake in a couple of games of darts and table football and we stayed for more than the one drink we intended to have. Some of the party ordered food which looked lovely and I will most definitely be back in the future whether just with the husband or a gang of us again. Thankyou.

Visited a couple of weeks ago for Sunday dinner with a large family group - lovely food and accommodated our large booking request at short notice on bank holiday Sunday despite being pretty busy inside. Visited again last night for the normal menu and the food was incredible - everything was delicious and huge portions (we had to take some home!). Really friendly service and nice atmosphere. Love how they have done it to look like a classic club - lots of brown! Decent beer selection too.

If you’re after some nice chips and chicken grub and a few great pints, coupled with some darts or table football… then look no further! A unique venue and the old 1970’s style furniture and decor are good fun and like stepping back in time. Reasonable prices and decent quality food. As part of a night out in Kelham Island then make sure you visit the Neepsend Social Club.

We didn't actually get to try the drinks here! We went in on good Friday around about 7pm after seeing the sign outside saying that it was 2-4-1 cocktails EVERY Mon-Fri 6-8pm. After deciding to order quite a few cocktails knowing there was this offer we went to the bar, luckily my friend double checked that they we're still doing 2-4-1, to be told no they weren't because they were running out of ingredients, but we could still order them full price.... If you're not doing the offer anymore, take the sign down! So we left and went else where. I have it given 4 stars as I don't want to rate a place badly that I didn't actually try but this shouldn't happen.

Nice place, plenty of space in there. Food was great and tasted delicious, better than other places nearby and was quite filling. Beer selection was ok maybe could have an extra IPA as a guest local brew would be nice too. The establishment was very clean and tidy.

My partner and I decided to come here on a Friday evening (around 17.30) on a poutine pilgrimage. Having previously visited on a Sunday but finding that the menu was roast dinner, we anxiously made our way across Sheffield hoping for squeaky curds this time. We were expecting to have issues finding a table at this time but there was plenty of space when we arrived, and even when we left two hours later there were still tables open despite it being notably busier. The music and overall vibe was very good, the staff were really relaxed and friendly and the service was quite speedy. It's a fairly small bar but I can't speak much to the drink selection because I was only on the Pepsi. The food was tasty. I ordered the Montréal poutine (classic) as a kind of metre stick to measure the quality of the poutine and I was not disappointed. The fries are seasoned and the dish is topped with chives so it differs slightly from very traditional poutine, but not in a bad way at all. I would definitely order this again. My partner ordered the Budapest and he was slightly disappointed with the smaller quantity of cheese curds and what he described as a bit too much crispy onion. He did enjoy his meal though and noted it still tasted good, it just wasn't quite what he was expecting. We also ordered kimchi fritters to share, which was a deep fried thing I didn't know I needed in my life until I took the first bite. Highly recommend trying these if you like a little bit of spice. Overall, this is a great space to come and relax and have a no-frills bite to eat.

My second visit to Neeps End Social and the second time I've left saying 'the best fried chicken in Sheffield'. I had the 'chicken in a basket'- and its a rare thing to have such a good offering of chicken on the bone these days. Perfectly cooked and spiced in a very healthy portion. loved it. Probably shouldn't have had the side of fried cheese curds as I left feeling a bit too full. The place is busy on a Saturday night in January in an otherwise quieter part - which is a review in itself! keep it coming people! Gwan!

The hat has a distinctly retro, working men's club vibe to it, but without the smell of stale lager! Surprisingly familiar to anyone who's drunk in a flat roof pub or grew up in an industrial town in the north, yet still with a modern and welcoming design. A good range of tap beer and a friendly atmosphere

Really excellent evening. Enjoyed the chicken in the basket (large portions) and selection of beers on offer. Concept is really good bringing back memories of the 70s and 80s. Staff were great with helpful and friendly service. Good value for money.

Came here for the Sunday roast and it was absolutely fantastic and delicious. You get a lot for your money too (Sunday Roast £13). We thought the price was excellent. I went for the Lamb, tender and full of flavour. Staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. The interior was very cool as well, plus very comfy seats. Already recommending this place to others.

Visited for Sunday lunch recently, place itself if wonderful staff where fantastic and very accommodating sadly that's where compliments finish, toilets where appalling and the smell overwhelming!! Then dinner arrived to look at it looked delicious but very mediocre and the meat of iam totally honest was horrendous totally inedible the fat content to meat was ridiculous, such a shame as place itself is lovely, I would highly recommend changing your butcher.. 😞

Tasty pints, nice vibes and great food - that poutine - YUM! Add in that the staff are a stand up bunch. It’s got everything going for it. We’ll be back! Looking forward to our next visit when we’re in the area.

A great little place. For starters I'm glad to see The Gravy Train back as a more permanent feature down Neepsend (which was on point as always), but they've created a lovely venue too. Warm welcoming atmosphere as well as staff.

Enjoyed drinks in the sunshine with our dog here, great selection of ales, friendly staff and relaxed vibe. Looks like they're doing poutine now - think it's run by the Gravy Train people. Looking forward to watching the World Cup here!

Amazing spot with a great atmosphere and plenty of fun bits and bobs to do there, table football, quizzes and the like. Had a roast and the food was absolutely cracking, some of the best Yorkshire's I've ever had! The owners/managers are lovely fellas too

Great venue for all occasions. We've been down a few times since it opened and it's really nice. I've had some nice craft beers in the sun just me and my book (Wind in the Willows) and the staff were more than happy to bring me drinks so I didn't have to go to the bar all the time. We've also been down for food a couple of times over weekends and the chicken in a basket is really really good. Their chef does the best gravy it's amazing. Most recently I went for a roast pork which was new to me as I'm not much of a roast dinner person but it was lovely and some of our mates also had it and said it was great too. Big crispy Yorkshires as well. We've decided to try their pub quiz when we are all free again. Hopefully it's soon! Great place for a gathering or even just a few drinks and awesome meals as well. James and Arnold.

We were a group of 7. 6 ordered food and the 7th person was told the kitchen was closed for orders for 45 mins due to staffing. Understandable in these times but they could have warned the group when ordering or made an exception. Other than that the free table football and darts was great!
