Even though I was concerned I was arriving too late (around 9:30pm on a Sunday night), the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, immediately recommending a dish to me. The food was absolutely amazing, it hit the perfect spot between authenticity, taste, value and healthiness. The atmosphere of the restaurant was superb, with relaxing, traditional music, moody lighting and beautiful, authentic Turkish decor. The price was spot on. Highly recommend.

I ordered the kleftiko with herbs and sautéed potatoes. . . I got a lamb shank that was tasteless in what seemed like bisto gravy , frozen mixed veg and mushroom’s!!!!!!! ???????? . . The potatoes weren’t sautéed they were undercooked boiled new potatoes in the weird shop brought bisto gravy !!! I’ve never had mushrooms with kleftiko ! I was brought up in Greece!!! ?? . . Kleftiko ???? This was shockingly bad food by any standard!!!! Not eating it

Went for a meal and had the mixed meat grill with their yummy Turkish bread with a nice mixed tasty salad. The food is good and their lamb is lovely! Not too expensive either so we would definitely go back and recommend this place.

The food was cooked to perfection and quickly, too. When I went in to collect the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Will definitely order from here again, as well as try their lunch menu!

We found it by chance. On the eve of our visit there my daughter needed to use the bathroom...the stuff where most warm and welcoming to her even though she was not a customer. That attitude made me want to stay and try some of their extensive menu. We came for lunch the next day and fell in love with the meze spread we ordered (especially the fresh bread) Food was served promptly and well presented on beautiful crockery. My daughter who can be quite picky was willing to try it all. Furthermore the service was impeccable with friendly advice as to the best beach spots around x) I only wish I had more time to come from London to eat there more often

Ive visited Hastings twice now with my partner, we are arriving from London and we can both say this has been the best restaurant we’ve ever been too. Most friendliest staff, amazing food and quick service. Definitely will be coming back here again.

The food is amazing we had a full table of food and we couldn’t stop!! The service was great!! We were taken care of so well! The atmosphere and workers were very polite and positive. We were 4 adults, 1 child a baby and we enjoyed. We went in the next day too, before we left to go back home from visiting Hastings. We would definitely come back to this place!! I would 100% recommend this place to all the Turkish food lovers! :)

I've been to Nazar a number of times, and the experience is always the same. The warm, welcoming environment is so refreshing, and the consistency of the atmosphere and food is why I would always recommend it if you are in Hastings. It's a family run business, and this is very evident the moment you walk in. Excellent staff, magnificent food, and good vibes.

A very hospitable place, good and fast service, very tasty food and wine and an incredible atmosphere. We waited literally 15 minutes between ordering and serving. I sincerely recommend!

What a fantastic meal! We were unsure of what to order, but the staff were extremely helpful and made sure that all 5 of us had exactly what we wanted, but for the best price. The service was impeccable, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed the Set Menu for 4 people, but there was more than enough for the 5 of us. We also loved the baklava and Turkish Delight to finish our meal. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Discovered by chance because everything else was already closed and far exceeded expectations. The food was very tasty, the boss, his wife and little son were super nice and personable. The portions were way too big but we packed the rest. We came out very happy.

Lovely food…my little boy loves the meatballs…the chicken shish is amazing very soft moist chicken…highly recommended….

Ordered the chicken wrap and it was packed with chicken and the freshest salad, amazing not like your usual chicken wrap from other take away! As always the Adana was cooked to perfection. The best food in Hastings without a doubt!

I had my birthday meal at Nazar last month and it was absolutely phenomenal! They were extremely courteous, kind and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious! The lamb dish I had was out of this world, the meat was tender, and my son loved his meatballs and chips. The portion sizes were huge! I got surprised with a lovely birthday song and ice cream on the house, with candles - made me blush 😊 Thank you Nazar - looking forward to the next time 👍🏼

Absolutely perfect! My second time there and it's just spot on. We went yesterday evening for the special promotion, t-bone with green peppercorn sauce 🤗 chips, salad, fresh veg and a drink. Absolut delish! Great team, friendly, efficient, rapid, serving fresh quality food and good drinks too. We had a lovely time here and really enjoyed every minute. We'll come back for sure. This is a regular place for us, we like that the food is charcoal grilled while you wait! The head waiter is someone you can trust, you can just ask him to recommend dishes for the table - we prefer to share. The marinated lamb and chicken are very tasty, aubergine is melt in the mouth delicious. This is one one our favourite places to take visiting friends and family.

Used to be regulars here but unfortunately our latest visit will be the last. We were ignored by the waiting staff for the first 10 minutes who went to another table first who were seated after us, we weren't even acknowledged. We were ignored most of the evening anyway by the staff and the one member who did serve us we felt a bit like an after thought. Food was average. Atmosphere was terrible due to the friends of the owners who were noisy and had no regard for people trying to have a nice evening meal. Then to automatically put a 10% service charge on given the poor service was the last straw. Because of all this we will look for a new regular place to eat, just didn't feel welcome.

We "used" to be regulars here but our latest experience will definitely be our last. Service was absolutely dire, we were left standing until one of the cooks spoke to use, no waiting staff around. We sat at our table and were ignored by all the staff for 10 minutes offering us no drinks or saying hello. Finally someone took our order but the rest of the night was really poor, the staff were paying more attention to their friends and ignoring everyone else. Oh and to add insult they chucked on a 10% service charge. We'll never return here.

All I can say food amazing vintage area very unique

A lovely Turkish restaurant by the seafront. The staff was nice and friendly. The place was decorated to make you feel like you are in Turkey when you walk in. The complimentary bread was pretty good. We normally come here for grilled chicken wings and lamb ribs. They are generous with the salad. The portions are quite big and filling. The only downside is that the quality control. Sometimes, the lamb ribs were well cooked and flavorful. Sometimes, they were bland. We hope it can be adjusted so that we do not have disappointment every now and then.

Being a Turkish person myself, I must admit these dishes aren't as good as the authentic flavors I know. Plus, considering the location, they're quite expensive in my opinion. The service is slow, and the venue is quite dark.

Very expensive. We went for the £59.99 platter, 2 adults and 1 child, and we left hungry. Spent £85. Disappointed. Food uncooked, halloumi cheese rotten. Never again.

Great food lamb shish definitely a winner

We came this evening as a table of 4 and what a lovely evening we had. We was made to feel welcomed by all the staff, our waitress took the time to speak to us before ordering our drinks and meals. There was lots of choice on the menu with a variety of vegetarian options too. The food was amazing, lots of flavours, and so fresh, and large portions. We loved that the kitchen was open and could see your food being cooked. The restaurant was clean. Thank you to all the staff for making our evening so lovely. We will definitely be visiting again. Nazar is a hidden little gem and I would highly recommend you visit....you won't be disappointed!!!

Absolutely appalling service for the first time ever from this restaurant. Missing parts of my order, and when I rang to explain this, they wanted me to order another dish in order to be able to send out the one missing, therefor paying more money than I already have just to receive the food I actually wanted. First time I have ever had something bad to say about this restaurants service and that is a huge shame.

We went for a family dinner and the food was better than the food I had in Turkey and they had a waiter who was especially dressed in cute clothes. I liked both the service and the boss very much!!!

We picked this restaurant on the basis of the good trip advisor reviews, but we were really disappointed - I can't understand how it's so highly rated. The service was terrible - really slow and inattentive. There were plenty of staff but they were just milling around and not watching the tables. Initial drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. We were never asked if we wanted more - had to try to flag down someone whenever we wanted a top up. After we'd finished our meals, the dirty plates sat on the table for ages until we managed to get someone's attention to clear the table. The food was a mixed bag - the Meze was very good, but the main courses were a big let down. Some of the meals were not very nice, some had missing items, and some were not properly cooked (obviously reheated and cold in places). Much of the tableware was chipped, which isn't great. The restaurant itself is a strange disjoined layout and doesn't have a great atmosphere. The back room is dark and dingy, and the front is really loud due to lack of soft furnishings, so it's hard to hear each other talk. Overall, we didn't enjoy our meal at Nazar and definitely won't be returning.

Favourite place for lunch when visiting my mum. Feels just like Turkey with authentic flavours, and flamboyant staff; some of the food exceeded what I ate in really good restaurants in Turkey 1 month ago whilst on holiday there. Ask for WiFi as there is no phone reception as the restaurant is built into the base of the Hastings rock and caves. Totally recommended.

I went there yesterday night for have ina diner very nice otwntic atmosphere, i start with mix meze plater , houmes ,caciki , fetachees pastr some other things there were so many i dont remember all . All were very nice, fresh and tasty. Service was very good . Gentelman who was serving us very friendly and fast. There were two lovley ladies serving as well. I realaise its family running resteruant that is why it was so clean. As a maincourse i had nazar special which i recomend highyle telection of the kebaps they given bulguri and rice and huge salad on the house with that.all meats was very thender. Bill was very reasnobel about 30 quid . Defenetly go back five star….
