Ate here last weekend, with my husband and some friends. Really friendly atmosphere and the staff were so welcoming. Food was absolutely beautiful and couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!

We decided to check this restaurant out before booking for a family birthday event. There is an extensive menu catering for meat lovers and vegetarians. There were a few fish options too. We had a warm welcome, and the food was delivered to us freshly cooked, nicely presented, and I have to say truly delicious. The dips with the feta cheese filo pastry wraps was an excellent starter, and one portion was easily enough for 2 people. My husband had steak and I had a vegetarian moussaka. Their home made bread is a real treat. I was pleasantly surprised by Nazar, as the outside decor looks a little tired, but inside there was warmth, friendliness, great food and an authentic Turkish atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit and due to its popularity, you would be wise to book first.

As always this place never disappoints. The food is fantastic, so fresh and full of lovely flavours, staff are warm and welcoming, they're great with kids and to top it all off doesn't break the bank. 100% recommend to anyone visiting Hastings.

Mrs took me here for my birthday meal and gotta say I was more than impressed. The food was 10/10. We ordered the lamb cutlets, ribs and kofte. All had their unique but delicious taste. Also the service was so lovely. They played birthday song and brought out a specially made dessert with candles for me. Went with my 4 year old and 3 month old (never an easy challenge!) but the restaurant has baby changing facilities and the staff really kept my kids entertained and made it easier for us to enjoy the food. I currently have to stick to a fat-free diet, so when my friend and I set our minds to having eggs out for lunch, we knew it might not work out. I'm so glad we tried Nazar! The staff were so warmly accommodating, and Mustafa said it was no problem to make scrambled eggs without oil. The weather had chilled us, so they sat us at a table with a heater positioned to warm us, and we enjoyed a comforting meal of Turkish scrambled eggs and two different types of bread (mine was fat-free), plus a salad, cheese for my friend, tea, and hot water with lemon. The food was vegetable-rich and deliciously seasoned, and all stayed hot while we talked and ate. I look forward to returning to Nazar with my foodie family of nine, and I know they will enjoy the experience as much as I did. There's plenty of room for us to sit around one of the larger tables situated at the back of the restaurant where the space opens up yet is atmospheric. What a gem!

We went here for my 40th Birthday 3 days after Christmas and it was the best Turkish food I’ve ever had. They even made spaghetti bol for my very fussy children. Which even after trying some of there dishes now also love Turkish. There was so much food we couldn’t finish it all and they made us a doggy bag so we couldn’t finish take it home and finish later on. The staff were amazing and so friendly and happy to help with any of our questions. We will definitely be returning regularly now.

Lovely meal, we had a mixed shish kebab. Meat was tasty and tender, salad was fresh, also rice and cous cous cooked perfectly. The home made bread was to die for too. Very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Very tasty Turkish food, huge portions too at excellent prices. A really nice place to eat, a good and varied menu along with a good wine list. It's also a friendly place to go. We really like it and hope to go back when we are in Hastings again.

Had a beautiful meal at Nazar this evening. I went with a PA client and met a friend there after she finished work. The welcome was warm, service was great and the meal delicious. I especially loved the hot, fresh bread. The starter of hummus was really tasty — generously-portioned, but not too much — and the main was lovely. Thanks Mustafa and Team Nazar!

Absolutely amazing restaurant. The owners treated us like family and friends and looked after us with the best service. Dog friendly too. All meals are home made with fresh ingredients, fresh bread, yoghurt, salads, and sauces all produced on site, and it all contributes to delicious and authentic meals. Reccomend popping in and sampling the best there is in Hastings by the seafront. Always ask for SOUP OF THE DAY Last night had the best lentil soup (all produced on site) in a huge bowl, BIG FLAVOUR. We will definitely visit again soon and our dog Rocky was also well looked after with a treat off the grill. See you soon!

Even though I was concerned I was arriving too late (around 9:30pm on a Sunday night), the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, immediately recommending a dish to me. The food was absolutely amazing, it hit the perfect spot between authenticity, taste, value and healthiness. The atmosphere of the restaurant was superb, with relaxing, traditional music, moody lighting and beautiful, authentic Turkish decor. The price was spot on. Highly recommend.

I ordered the kleftiko with herbs and sautéed potatoes. . . I got a lamb shank that was tasteless in what seemed like bisto gravy , frozen mixed veg and mushroom’s!!!!!!! ???????? . . The potatoes weren’t sautéed they were undercooked boiled new potatoes in the weird shop brought bisto gravy !!! I’ve never had mushrooms with kleftiko ! I was brought up in Greece!!! ?? . . Kleftiko ???? This was shockingly bad food by any standard!!!! Not eating it

Went for a meal and had the mixed meat grill with their yummy Turkish bread with a nice mixed tasty salad. The food is good and their lamb is lovely! Not too expensive either so we would definitely go back and recommend this place.

We found it by chance. On the eve of our visit there my daughter needed to use the bathroom...the stuff where most warm and welcoming to her even though she was not a customer. That attitude made me want to stay and try some of their extensive menu. We came for lunch the next day and fell in love with the meze spread we ordered (especially the fresh bread) Food was served promptly and well presented on beautiful crockery. My daughter who can be quite picky was willing to try it all. Furthermore the service was impeccable with friendly advice as to the best beach spots around x) I only wish I had more time to come from London to eat there more often

Ive visited Hastings twice now with my partner, we are arriving from London and we can both say this has been the best restaurant we’ve ever been too. Most friendliest staff, amazing food and quick service. Definitely will be coming back here again.

The food is amazing we had a full table of food and we couldn’t stop!! The service was great!! We were taken care of so well! The atmosphere and workers were very polite and positive. We were 4 adults, 1 child a baby and we enjoyed. We went in the next day too, before we left to go back home from visiting Hastings. We would definitely come back to this place!! I would 100% recommend this place to all the Turkish food lovers! :)

I've been to Nazar a number of times, and the experience is always the same. The warm, welcoming environment is so refreshing, and the consistency of the atmosphere and food is why I would always recommend it if you are in Hastings. It's a family run business, and this is very evident the moment you walk in. Excellent staff, magnificent food, and good vibes.

What a fantastic meal! We were unsure of what to order, but the staff were extremely helpful and made sure that all 5 of us had exactly what we wanted, but for the best price. The service was impeccable, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed the Set Menu for 4 people, but there was more than enough for the 5 of us. We also loved the baklava and Turkish Delight to finish our meal. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Discovered by chance because everything else was already closed and far exceeded expectations. The food was very tasty, the boss, his wife and little son were super nice and personable. The portions were way too big but we packed the rest. We came out very happy.

I had my birthday meal at Nazar last month and it was absolutely phenomenal! They were extremely courteous, kind and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious! The lamb dish I had was out of this world, the meat was tender, and my son loved his meatballs and chips. The portion sizes were huge! I got surprised with a lovely birthday song and ice cream on the house, with candles - made me blush 😊 Thank you Nazar - looking forward to the next time 👍🏼

Absolutely perfect! My second time there and it's just spot on. We went yesterday evening for the special promotion, t-bone with green peppercorn sauce 🤗 chips, salad, fresh veg and a drink. Absolut delish! Great team, friendly, efficient, rapid, serving fresh quality food and good drinks too. We had a lovely time here and really enjoyed every minute. We'll come back for sure. This is a regular place for us, we like that the food is charcoal grilled while you wait! The head waiter is someone you can trust, you can just ask him to recommend dishes for the table - we prefer to share. The marinated lamb and chicken are very tasty, aubergine is melt in the mouth delicious. This is one one our favourite places to take visiting friends and family.

Used to be regulars here but unfortunately our latest visit will be the last. We were ignored by the waiting staff for the first 10 minutes who went to another table first who were seated after us, we weren't even acknowledged. We were ignored most of the evening anyway by the staff and the one member who did serve us we felt a bit like an after thought. Food was average. Atmosphere was terrible due to the friends of the owners who were noisy and had no regard for people trying to have a nice evening meal. Then to automatically put a 10% service charge on given the poor service was the last straw. Because of all this we will look for a new regular place to eat, just didn't feel welcome.

We "used" to be regulars here but our latest experience will definitely be our last. Service was absolutely dire, we were left standing until one of the cooks spoke to use, no waiting staff around. We sat at our table and were ignored by all the staff for 10 minutes offering us no drinks or saying hello. Finally someone took our order but the rest of the night was really poor, the staff were paying more attention to their friends and ignoring everyone else. Oh and to add insult they chucked on a 10% service charge. We'll never return here.
