Nata's Coffee Bar - Balham in Wandsworth

My partner and I found this cute Coffee Bar (we are tourists) and we were both times so happy. The english Breakfast aswell the benedict egg and the sweet waffle‘s werde amazing! Also the smoothies were so good.

Stopped over in Balham and got some Natas and a cup of cappuccino, what can I say, just amazing. The taste of the coffee was so smooth that I purchased a bag to serve at our opticians.

This place is wonderful - I’ve been here a couple of times and Adam gives some of the best customer service I’ve seen - so attentive, remembers everyone’s orders and super friendly. He is amazing! I love the coffee, vibe and natural light here too. And of course the Latin music ☺️

Definitely a gem. Had a full english, a berry go round juice, a nata and flat white. Both the food and the drink were down to perfection. Would come again

Ambience is nice, and good music. But easily the worst egg's benedict I've had in my life. Watery eggs, dry muffin, tasteless hollandaise.

I am a regular client at this place since they were open. Staff is always so welcoming and friendly. This is defo the best local cafe “around the corner” from your house.

Fabulous place amazing Pasteis De Nata

Used to like this place but they have revised their menu and now have NO vegan options. They had one vegan focaccia sandwich before and even that's been removed.. disappointed

An excellent spot for brunch with a cozy atmosphere, though it can feel a bit cramped. We tried the Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royal, and both were delicious. Great food and charming vibes—definitely worth a visit!

I’m so happy I’ve found this little gem (it’s not hard to find, it’s right on high street). I enjoyed the coffee so much, which made me go back there later that day. I’ve also had the smashed avo/feta sourdough which was delicious and I highly recommend ☕️🍳

Always friendly and the breakfast is always tasty

Delicious food, friendly service, quick food preparation, great ambience. What more could you want? We can recommend the delicious cappuccino. You can also order it with vegan milk (oatly). We tried our way through the menu and everything tasted really good and the price was very reasonable compared to central London. We were completely satisfied!

Lived just next to Nata’s for three years and visited regularly. It is a wonderfully friendly, relaxed neighbourhood cafe with excellent food, pastries and cakes. Thoroughly recommended !

My favourite place in Balham! Nelly is the loveliest server. Delicious pastries - the almond croissant is the best I’ve had! This was my local for three years and I have loved it. Will miss it!

Always really enjoy coming here for brunch at the weekend: Nelly is super welcoming and attentive to my young kids and the menu is extensive and delicious. Coffee is a good standard too and the prices are very reasonable

I come to Natas as often as I can. Prefer the independent family feel of the place and most importantly the service… with a smile and conversation! Today my morning was saved after a bad experience at Joice Cafe, further up the road towards Tooting Bec! Let’s just say, the Gentrified Atmosphere at Joice Cafe is not for me! Natas always delivers great service with a smile, and staff go beyond expectations! Today compared to Joice Cafe, that left me waiting outside for 15 minutes, Natas severed me within 20 minutes and brought my order kindly out to me as sat waiting in my car! Much Appreciated!

You cannot beat the staff here! The wonderful Nellie is always there to greet you with a warm smile and your favourite order ready to go! The Bravas is my favourite but the tuna melt and full English never disappoints.

Natas is a little neighbourhood gem. Coffee and breakfasts are delightful and the staff are super warm and friendly. Try the almond cappuccino and breakfast waffle dishes - they won't disappoint!

Went for a family breakfast. Food and service was amazing

Had a chai latte and a delicious almond croissant here in very pleasant surroundings. The croissant was huge and was actually pretty good value for money. The only downside is that some of the seats and tables are rather tiny for a larger person like myself!

The food was ok, but they charge 10% service fee which which in my opinion it’s ridiculous

Amazing brunch. I walked through balham to find queues down the road for most brunch places so came here instead. Honestly food was amazing (I had the eggs benedict). My advice- skip the centre of balham and come straight here. Highly recommend.

The coffee was delicious so was the food.

I tried these Nata for breakfast and they did not disappoint. I had berries and strawberries and it looks like the fruit was real, not made in Dexter's Lab, and the cream inside was made by someone with common sense.

Incredibly rude staff member, aggressively raised her voice telling us to move from our 4 seater window table to the tiny 2 seater, meaning there was no room for my laptop. There were plenty of free tables to choose from and no reservation plaques. No one came and sat at the multiple bigger free tables the entire time we dined there - the staff member was rude unnecessarily. Won’t be returning, appalling customer service.

Nice little cafe however the food is always cold . The service is always great and staff smile . However I attended the branch at 4 pm once to a very unfriendly lady who advised kitchen was closed . Probably won’t return for a while due to this - left a bad taste .

The service was very kind and attentive. The coffee was good but the sandwich was very small for this price (a little bigger then a toast bread cut into half).

Nice cheap café tucked away in Balham. The food and coffee is good, but not great. The place is very cramped, very loud, they forced more tables in there than the place could fit. The waffle was nice but not very filling. The hot sourdough toastie was nice, but like something you would put together quickly at home. I tried a nata but it had a weird texture, the custard had clumps/bits in it as if the egg hadn’t been cooked enough inside. Overall an affordable noisy neighbour brunch.

My closest coffee shop, unfortunately not my favourite. Majority of the food is good and their chai lattes are great (when the powder is blended well!) Seating is a bit cramped and there’s no atmosphere but still a good contender in Balham!

Excellent coffee, decent English breakfast. Very little space if all seats are taken. We didn't really understand the bill (but we noticed only a while after leaving).

It’s a nice cafe and pretty cheap too, especially for Balham. I got the scrambled eggs and beans on sough-dough bread for £8.50. The meal was nice but I bland, I wasn’t wowed by the cafe but I also have nothing particularly bad to say about it either. There are a few chairs to sit but but no big tables. The service is quick too.

Nice coffee shop & bar inbetweeen Clapham South & Balham. We got two cappuccinos, a chocolate muffin and a large chocolate chip cookie. The cappuccinos were great, but the treats were a bit average. The service was good and polite.

Food was lukewarm not impressed and was told we had 1 hour even though I was not told @ time of booking. Or when we've eaten there before . And we were just 5 minutes late and was made to feel awful as guy was tapping his watch and speaking to a colleague while they decided to accept us. Considering my friend's came from Sutton to see me ..bit disappointed with there attitude 😒

Went to Nata's for lunch today. Ordered burger and chips. Food was nice, good size portion and didn't have to wait long. A nice couple of hours spent here. It is a little cramped so not ideal for big pushchairs or wheelchairs. Although they are accomodating.

Left sitting at the table for too long. Got up and went someone else. Your staff need better training on how to prioritise tables. You can't afford to ignore customers.

Food was decent but not great and was pretty loud near the street.

Tasty brunch however not worth £17.50 for a hot chocolate and chicken waffle!! Plenty of seating and staff attentive.

Best nata’s I’ve found in London

A super independent coffee bar that we used for breakfast during a recent stay in the area. There was a variety of breakfast choices, from a full English through to pastries and cakes, to cater for all tastes. We opted for a full English which was freshly cooked, came within a reasonable time, given the place was busy and was plentiful and hot. We purchased, separately, fresh orange and coffee to accompany the breakfast. Seating was available inside or outside. Overall a charming place for breakfast with a super atmosphere.

Vegan options are limited, but staff are friendly and they do an NHS discount. Win win

Sadly, we were very disappointed considering the high ratings of this place. We were a group of 6 so we tried a lot of different items on the menu. The fried chicken in the chicken and waffle was a slight upgrade to chicken McNuggets. The Mexican burger was overdone. It felt like the staff weren’t quite able to keep up and if the food had been cooked properly then this would have been a much better experience. I hope this place can operate more consistently as it has real potential.
