Meicasso Restaurant in Wandsworth

First time visiting this restaurant and Subbu was amazing. The food was fresh and extremely tasty! Deffo give it a go!

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. From the moment we sat down, the service was incredibly slow—I actually had to get up just to get the waiter’s attention. When the food finally arrived, it was practically inedible. The beef in the chow mein was the worst I’ve ever had—rubbery, disgusting, and with a strange, off-putting taste. The beef burger was no better; somehow, they even managed to mess that up. It tasted off, like something was wrong with the meat itself. To make matters worse, my stomach couldn’t handle the overwhelming amount of MSG masking the poor-quality food. I ended up getting sick shortly after eating. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about the food and service they provide.

A Disastrous Dining Experience A Review of Meicasso Italian Restaurant Sorry, but if I could rate Meicasso a zero, I would. This wanna-be "Italian restaurant" is an overpriced, disappointing disaster that falls short on all possible levels. The second I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a night of disappointment, but I had no clue it would be this bad. Ambiance Red flag number one was the ambiance. Felt like I was in binladens hideout. Or an Arab harem den The restaurant is trying too hard to be "trendy" but felt like I was going to be getting orders from the CIA Where do I even start? Meicasso's Italian cuisine is an insult to the culinary wonders of Italy. Every single dish was a disappointment, and some were absolutely inedible. The starter was a wet mess. The bread was stale, and the tomatoes tasted like they just pulled them out of a can. Where was the freshness? The taste? It was like chewing cardboard with ketchup. Secondi The beef bulgoni in itself was dry and tough, as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a few hours. The mashed potatoes" were lumpy and tasteless, and the roasted vegetables were so overcooked they fell apart at the touch of a fork. Dessert The tiramisu cake was the worst item apart from the main courses. It was soggy, too sweet, and tasted as if it was kept in the refrigerator in sugar for a week. I took a bite and had cavities Slow and Indifferent The service was equally terrible as the food. Our server was absent for most of the meal, and when they did appear, they acted annoyed to have to serve us. We waited more than 45 minutes for our entrees, and when they finally came out, they were cold. When I mentioned the problems with the food politely to the server, the server shrugged and said, "That's how it's supposed to be." Unacceptable. Value: A Complete Rip-Off Prices at Meicasso are through the roof for the quality of the food and service. I was robbed, not only of my money, but of my appetite and time, as well, leaving. This is style over substance, plain and simple, and I am surprised anyone would voluntarily pay to dine here more than once. My Final Thoughts Meicasso is a textbook example of a restaurant valuing aesthetics over authenticity. The food has no taste, the service is horrible, and the overall experience is a complete waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else even KFC. This establishment needs to fail, and I hope it happens sooner rather than later because it had potential to make a good cuisine. Rating: 1/5 E quel punto è solo per pietà.

Food was amazing, we loved the mojitos & dynamite prawns and dynamite chicken. I really liked the pretty decor inside & the service was great we were helped by Erika & Sumita. Pistachio milk cake was my favourite

Sorry to say I was not impressed with standard of food. I chose a variety of main courses with only one being eaten with enthusiasm. Very disappointing.

Absolutely tasteless food, so bland! Several tables around us also had the same complaints and didn’t eat the food. We spoke to the owner to express our concerns as the food was practically inedible and he was extremely rude and defensive and made quite the scene in the restaurant. It got to the point where nearby customers intervened to ask him to calm down and explain the food is not good and you could see our plates were still full as we couldn’t eat it! On the service alone I would rate this a zero if I could! It’s a nice looking venue but that’s about it.

My friends and I came here for my 19th birthday and the food and service here was absolutely amazing! We were served by Samita and she was so friendly and warm and accommodating! We had the most wonderful time here and will 100% be back :) Recommending this place to everyone

We visited this restaurant today and, despite having a reservation, we had to wait due to how busy it was. The service was notably slow and needs improvement. The food was okay, but not exceptional. Given their great location, they have potential but should address these issues to thrive in the long term.

Looks amazing smells amazing, but tastes like a meal deal at best. not worth the money go else where spent £57.57 make that pricing make sense itself extremely disappointing and genuinely had less even 15 % of what I ordered and left the rest after not eating all day to begin with.

The service was excellent. The waiters were very nice and attentive throughout. However, the food was disappointing. I ordered the Korean Wings, which had barely any meat on them. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was overly sour to the point that I couldn't finish it. The Pad Thai was bland and lacked flavor. The only decent dish was the Manchurian, but even that didn’t taste like authentic Manchurian. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, but I truly appreciate the amazing service provided. Thank you!

Haider was a great waiter and served us amazing food. The starter was amazing highly recommend it. The service was too slow, however. I’d also recommend not to go for their pizza options- didn’t seem gourmet but the other types of food there are great.

The food, the staff all 10/10 I haven’t been to such an amazing place in the longest of time I’ve been two times now since and the food just hits the taste buds. Samita is so lovely and goes the extra mile even on a busy Saturday 10/10 for her and every is so attentive lovely place would totally recommend

Our dining experience was exceptional, made even better by Ayesha Naeem’s warm demeanor and attentiveness though our entire meal. The food came quickly and there was perfect attention to the the timings between drinks, starters and mains. The dynamite prawns had a perfect balance of crispness and sauciness, making them delicious. The Korean wings were incredibly tender, and the Singaporean rice was a standout with its unique flavors and a perfect hint of smokiness from the stir-fry elements. The Shanghai crispy beef was another highlight, offering just the right crunch with a flavorful, savory glaze. The strawberry mojito was hands down the best mojito we have ever had—now we understand why we were recommended the jug! We’ll definitely be back for more. My friend and I have passed by this restaurant several times, and this Sunday, we decided to try it for an early dinner. My intention with this review is not to complain but to offer constructive feedback, as neither the staff nor the manager grasped the significance of our dining experience. I know the potential consequences of leaving a negative review for a business; however, it was necessary to convey our message this way. We ordered the platter for two, and when it arrived, it appeared less than fresh and somewhat dull. We attempted to taste the meat, but unfortunately, it was inedible and reheated in a microwave. We also ordered the Malaysian Chili Pepper Beef, which puzzled us as we tried to identify the dish. It consisted of small pieces of dried meat covered in a dark, chewy batter and an intensely spicy, sticky sauce. The best word to describe this dish would be "horrible." Additionally, we ordered garlic bread, but I need words to describe it, as it bore little resemblance to what one would expect from garlic bread. The most disappointing part of our experience occurred when we brought our concerns to the attention of the first waiter. Instead of addressing our concerns, he called over a second waiter, who became defensive and intimidated us during our discussion. We then requested to speak with the manager. After explaining our situation, he surprisingly stated that we were the first customers to express dissatisfaction with the food quality. While he offered to remove some items from our bill, it was unfortunate that he did not fully understand our feedback. Interestingly, the table across from us also complained about their food quality. My advice is that running a business involves several vital aspects from the moment you start until you close your doors. The food you serve should accurately reflect what's described on the menu. Trust me, if you cut corners with your food, customers will notice quickly, harming your reputation. Additionally, it’s crucial to have a staff that listens to customer feedback. As a business owner, I find it essential to address these issues.
