Had lamb curry and egg fried rice more than once very nice

A takeaway on a Saturday night. It was lovely, great chicken curry & egg fried rice. The pancake rolls are always fresh, hot and crispy.

I just had my first Chinese for a looong time because before I didn’t have good experience (different place). But I chose this one after searching online. And I have to say…it was the best food which I had recently!!! The lady was very nice, food was fresh, perfect perfect perfect seasoning 👌 definitely I will be back!!

Best takeaway on the Narborough Road, been a family favourite for many years. The roast duck chow mein is outstanding and always great customer service.

I have been a customer for over 20 years and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal yet...what would I do without you narborough house!!!

For many years this used to be one of the best Chinese takeaways in the area, good quality ingredients, well cooked and a decent price. The old owner retired a couple of years ago and new management took over, and unfortunately since then the quality has been on the slide. There seems no provision of fresh quality ingredients, at best they are frozen and often tinned. Over the last year it has more been visited down to necessity than desire, even with sampling different dishes off the menu I have not had anything inspiring. The vegetable component of dishes are limp, suffering from an overpowering taste of preservative/disinfectant. Meat and egg within dishes have had off favours and/or strange textures. Recent dishes have all been brown, as so dark soy sauce is been used to mask elderly ingredients, so not only is the texture and flavour not good but the dishes have a really unappetising murky tinge. It is such a shame that an established business appears to be in such steady decline.

I ordered 2 dishes: sweet and sour and the shredded beef. If I had known about the shredded beef having the same exact sauce as the sweet and sour chicken, I wouldn’t have ordered it! Every time I’ve had shredded beef with sauce being a more “Kindo”/Peking style that is more of a deeper red colour and more fruitier. Is that on the menu?

Pretty good Chinese food, unlike most western countries' westernised Chinese food. Just don't like bamboo shoots are added in almost all dishes.

Rice and noodles dark brown looked like they had been cooked a few times a wrong meal was sent and then said we ordered it, no you misheard and didn’t bother to read order back so said would add to next time 🙄 chilli salt chips just loads of salt and cheap dry chilli flakes

Greasy food, tasteless never again

Mediocre take away. Nothing special. Nothing to rave about. The Vegetarian choice is not extensive and considering Leicester has a lot of Indian Vegetarians who would enjoy a spicier Chinese with good choice, this place is missing out.

Best Chinese in Leicester! Chicken balls the size of your fist and the most incredible sliced tender beef in black pepper sauce I've ever had! If I could give it 6 stars I would!
