We ate here on 7/6/24. Service was terrible, had to wait over 15 minutes for first drinks order to be taken. Young waitress didn’t have a clue what she was doing and deliberately walked through the restaurant looking the opposite way so no one could get her attention. Although the food was good which saved our experience from a 1 star. On balance we wouldn’t return here due to the poor service which is a shame because the food was decent for the price, I’d only use for a takeaway.

This restaurant is simply outstanding! If you want top quality authentic Thai food don’t go anywhere else as nothing compares to the Thai palace! The team are so friendly especially Kandi, and it has a fantastic atmosphere.

Gorgeous food, good service, we'll definitely be back. Vegetarians/vegans and meat eaters can all eat really well here, which is great! I only wish we had given them a go sooner 😅

My partner and I love Thai Palace! The service is always friendly and attentive and the waitress (Aui) always makes us feel right at home every time we visit. We enjoy trying the different starters but the dumplings are incredible. The main courses are always incredible. We come regularly and the food is always top-class. Thai Palace's cosy atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. It's our go-to place for delicious Thai food in Maidstone. We can't wait to go back for more!

As avid lovers of Thai food we are very fussy about our choice of dishes and know what we like. This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, we can actually say the green curry was the best we have ever tasted. The staff were so attentive and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant is so busy, with a lovely vibe, you don’t visit for the decor but the staff and food are all you need to ensure you enjoy your Thai experience. We look forward to our next visit.

This place is a real gem in Maidstone went there last night with friends and had such a lovely tasteful meal and drinks. Service was so good as was the general being looked after. Meal for 4 with drinks and the chosen items on this meal starters mains and desserts came to £35 each. In this current climate this was excellent. But the food was so nice. Well done team Thai Palace.

We kicked off with “THOONG THONG” followed by “PHAD KRA PRAO” and the “PHAD NAM MAN HOI” main dishes. This was a lovely treat, beautifully cooked and very satisfying 😋

Came here for the first time in December and have been back again already, as it was so good. We love our Thai and this is just the best. Typical local style and furnishings but such good food and both times we have been, the restaurant has been full. OH has booked us in for Valentines Day. We had the mixed starter, green chicken curry and the penang.

This is a fantastic authentic thai restaurant that was full When we went tonight. This is a restaurant that turns people away so book in advance. Food is awesome, fresh authentic and not out of a jar unlike many. Seafood is outstanding and ask for soft shell crab you won’t regret it. Enjoy this lovely restaurant and it’s superb wine list

We were turned away from this restaurant last night as we had booked online and apparently the restaurant does not recognise the booking engine we booked through. Despite having email confirmation the man behind us in the doorway, not even in the actual restaurant itself was completely unprofessional and totally unwilling to help even though the restaurant was clearly not full. We took our business to the gurkha restaurant next door who were friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing. A bit of decent customer service goes a long way Thai Palace and you missed out on some business which seems ridiculous in the current climate. Give this restaurant a miss and book with the Gurkha restaurant next door!

The food was ok the wife doesn't like it to spicy and she enjoyed her meal I like mine spicy so ordered spicy food but there was absolutely no heat but the flavour was good.Other tables around us had said the same thing it wasn't spicy for there likingService was to quick we had finished our starter and mains within within 40 minutes of sitting down and still had a half a bottle of wine left We were not offered deserts take it they didn't do them.Overall not the best service and food but not the worst

I had been recommended this restaurant as serving great Thai food, so we booked a table for 6 last night. Upon arriving we were informed there was no table for us, despite having received 3 confirmations of our booking, one only yesterday morning (see attached photo). No apology was offered, in fact quite the opposite, the guy at front of house was positively rude!! Even after we showed him our confirmations!! No offer of a later table or a discounted return visit, he was quite happy to let 6 of us leave the restaurant with a really bad impression. However good the food might be, We won’t be returning and we will be spreading the word.

We booked a table of 3 three weeks ago and upon arriving at the restaurant we were told by the owner that they had no space and we would have been advised! We showed him the our email from this morning to say looking forward to your upcoming booking! He gave no apologies and it was clear he had given our table away and was quite rude! When we said we we would post a review about the way this was handled he just said post your lies! I was recommended this restaurant but will definitely not be returning! Luckily a local restaurant The Shamrat fitted us in and the service and food amazing! Advise Go there instead!!

Go here on a regular basis. Took 2 friends who are Thai foodies, and spend a lot of time in Thailand. They rate this as some of the best Thai (authentic) they have had in the UK.When booking the owner knows I like monkfish red curry and always makes sure they have it in :-)Great wine selection, had the black stump reserve, great value for a top wine. Should be the No1 on the trip advisor list.

Small restaurant but great food.Very busy Monday night, probably because everyone booked thinking you were doing’eat out to help out’ .....they weren’t, but unsure why not.Slow service but made up for it with great food.Had such a great meal, massaman curry was fabulous.Have been before and will definitely return.

So been here twice now, initially in January for dinner. Went for lunch last week and surprised to have the waitress check our temperatures. I've been to many restaurants now following the pandemic and this was the first one to offer contactless temperature check. We went for the set meal which was okay, you get what you pay for. I would go again and order from the a la carte menu. Both times we have been, it's not been busy.

I love Thai Food, my hubby not so much, so when we were recommended this place for a takeaway, he was happy as the offering wasn't just the usual Thai fare and had some more 'Chinese style' dishes which the prefers. The first meal was absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly cooked, with fragrant sticky rice and perfectly cooked Thai Green curry, hubby loved his meal too, I was so impressed i messaged the restaurant to let them know via their FB page. About 3 weeks later and we decided to order again, what a difference!! Delivery was very late, by about 30 minutes, which i had to phone and chase and when we did eventually get our food my main dish was missing and it's in place a squid dish I hadn't ordered, the rest of the food was tepid at best. We called the restaurant and not only did we not get an apology, the guy was almost affronted I didn't like squid. It was almost like he was loathed to replace the missing/incorrect dish and had to check with a colleague this could be done. Low and behold, the replaced wish turned up about 10 minutes later piping hot, by which point we'd finished the other parts of the meal due to being so hungry. So, overall the food on the first try was amazing, the food on the second, not so much, which was a real shame. It wouldn't stop me from giving it another go though, especially in the current climate as i'm hoping this was just a blip, but please try and keep on top of your timings/deliveries as no one wants to eat cold or incorrect food.

This restaurant was recommended as a great place to get a takeaway in the current climate NO!! They have completely messed me and my family about tonight. I phoned at 6.45 to see about getting a takeaway Could I ring back at 7.30 please? Yes no problem, I phoned back at 7.30 They’ll ring me back in 2 minutes No call so I phoned at 7.45 with a promise that they would ring me back in 2 mins It is now one and a half hours later and I am still waiting for that call! If you are busy and cannot help THEN SAY SO! Needless to say we will not be ringing again for a takeaway nor visiting your restaurant when it reopens.

We went for a snack dinner on Christmas Evening. Despite the fact that we only ordered a modest meal from the lovely menu we were treated well, the service and food both good. We look forward to a further visit when we are in the area to taste a greater range from the menu.

We are here on a weekend away, we’d looked at the reviews of all Thai restaurants in the area & picked this as it had best reviews. The food was lovely, service quick, staff friendly & price reasonable.However it is a small restaurant & we had gone out on a rare date night & had looked forward to a romantic night out. Apart from 2 other couples, the restaurant was taken up with 2 large groups and they were both so loud we literally could not hear each other. The group of 6 next to us were so over the top loud, shouting to each other.We like to go out & have a laugh and fun too, we aren’t being killjoys but we wouldn’t go back here for a romantic date night.Food was very good though.

To be fair it doesn’t look much from outside but the food is amazing! True to Thai last eaten in Bangkok and cheap too! Set meal at lunchtime a real bargain and also flavoursome. Beer a tad pricey but you can’t have it all! Will certainly be going back!

We have eaten at this restaurant numerous times over several years now and also introduced many friends. The food is fabulous and if anything is ever not up to standard the owner wants to know about it and is only too happy to change it. All you have to do is say at the time! Don’t wait till the end and them moan (like the rude table of 4 did that sat next to us that just embarrassed themselves). I have never had a bad meal or dish here, better than some dishes I’ve actually eaten in Thailand. Also reasonably priced. Be surprised if you don’t want to go back again and again

Was working in Maidstone. What a find this was. I thought we have great thai restaurants in Denham, but this was much better. Great ribs, lovely seafood soup which had huge fresh tasting mussels. Garlic prawn main - the sauce was amazing. Very nice chap serving too. Will be going back when back in Maidstone definetly.

There was a good choice of different dishes on the menu and some specials. Prices were good, most starters just over £4.00 and mains about £7.00. I went for the prawn and chicken dumplings which were a good portion (4). The main was excellent, fried beef with chilli and basil, this had just the right amount of heat, I order coconut ssteamed rice to go with it which was delicious, nice and sticky and a bit different from the usual fragant rice option. Service was also good staff were friendly chatty and attentive.

Pre booked. Tight cramped restaurant. Was recommended to come here and what a let down. Usually go to Thai orchid and wished we had gone there instead. Ended up paying £10.50 for 2 bottles of beer and a Diet Coke after being told we would have a long wait for food (we had Pre booked). We will never go back again. Thai orchid from now on. We ended up going to spice hut just up the road and had brilliant service and brilliant food so all was not lost

OMG we go here regularly and it's always fab. Tonight I had the beef panang and words cannot express how absolutely delicious, tender, flavoursome it was. Now one of my top 5 dishes in this restaurant and highly recommended

Visited a Tuesday lunch time, never been before. Absolutely love the lunch time set meal, we had red and green curry, both excellent. Will be back to try an evening meal. So tasty.

I remember when I was a child, my family and I would go out for a meal at a restaurant that we all knew we‘d enjoyed. We knew the owners, the menu was like the back of our hands. Narai Thai Palace is just one of those places. You walk in, speak on first names terms with the staff. You walk to the cosy seating area and have a good old chin wag with friends and family. It’s an old school British Thai food institution.

Having been to Thailand we thought we would try out this Thai restaurant in Maidstone. Hubby had Thoong Thong and I had Spring Rolls for a starter and for main course I had Chicken Pad Thai and hubby Chicken Gang Ped a red curry.

Great Friday night with friends. Food and wine was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will go back again soon.

I've been going here regularly for about 8 years and every meal I've had had been amazing.

We were only a party of 4 and it took almost 15 minutes from the 1st dish to the last dish being brought out. We were told it was because everything was cooked fresh but in between our dishes being served the table of 6 next to ours received their starters.

I had the satay chicken, number 62 and 80. The taste was amazing - I could have eaten in this restaurant forever! The wine list is cracking - try a full-bodied Pillastro Primativo and you will not be disappointed. Beer was cold and the wine was served at prefect temperature. It was busy and I know why - this is one of the best restaurants in Maidstone.

One of the best Thai restaurants outside of Bangkok where I was a regular business visitor at least once a month for 10 years. I have eaten Thai food in many countries and this is one of the best outside Thailand that I have tried. Friendly atmosphere good service. I visited this restaurant a couple of months ago, after booking a table for 18.30. As we were settling down on arrival, we were asked by one of the waitresses 'can you leave by 8?'. No please, no thank you, no explanation. I considered this very poor seeing as we had booked a table and had not been informed of this in advance. However, we were able to be finished 'in time', and as we had enjoyed the food, decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt a second time. We booked for a table for 19.00 for a special occasion last week. On arriving, we ordered two courses and wine, and on finishing these, were asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. When we declined this, we were presented with the bill before we had even asked for it. As we rounded up the evening and began to pay the bill, we were approached by the waitress again and asked 'can you leave as we have the table booked for 20.30'. Again, no please, no thank you, and no prior warning. We had declined desserts and coffee as above, but does this mean if we had agreed we would have been even more rushed due to the additional table booking? It seemed once we had spent all the money we planned that evening, they wanted us out. Extremely rude and poor treatment of paying customers. As we left, there was no acknowledgement of our custom or goodbye. We have also been to another Thai restaurant in Fremlin Walk, where the food is equally good and the staff much more respectful and obliging. We will be going there in future and not returning here.

We came on saturday night after visiting a rival thai restaraunt earlier in the evening and walking out after an hour wait with no food . We had been here before with friends so we hopes they would have a table for us and they did . We were sat and immediately offered drinks we were both very hungry and did not have to wait long for food which was delicious .

Booked our table for eight on news years eve online and turned up bang on time, I’d booked online the night before to which the restaurant had confirmed our booking via email, we didn’t appear on their list but asked to give them 10 minutes and will get our table which is exactly what they did. These things happen so no worries, I’ve heard great things about this place from friends so I was keen to see in the new year with my family and a family member visiting from South Africa, so after a little blip at the beginning this is what we thought as a collective. It was NYE it was packed, the service was excellent friendly and courteous, the food was fresh tasty hot and generous, the beer was cold! We all went for one of the set menu choices. Overall a very calm relaxing comfortable experience with a very chilled out atmosphere, not sure if this is a normal thing but the different courses came out with relatively long intervals between them, we personally found this perfect for the amount of food and different dishes! Gave us a chance to have a good chat about them before more arrived, if you’re in a rush just something to bear in mind. Highly recommend give them a go , enjoy and thanks for reading

Came here after a bad start at another Thai restaurant in Maidstone. Was greeted well, served delicious food by friendly staff. Highly recommend and will definately return.

Visited on 10/12 Monday evening around 8oclock. Can’t fault the food. It’s always excellent but we experienced very poor front of service. The lady seemed to be the in charge of front of house made us feel very unwelcome and wore very rudely shown our table. Rushed to take the food order even I clearly said we need more time and not ready.most annoying thing was we were asked to put down the order number in the pad for her. There was other young lady who was very pleasant and took care of our drinks and looked after us but our evening was spoilt because of the other waitress . Service with a smile will go well with their delicious food!!!

I have gone here on and of when I'm in the area over the years. I have never had a bad meal or even dish. My only criticism is that its so good I cant always get in for a table ! Its a little place and you are cosy in there but I love the food and will return whenever I can.

This was our first visit to the palace. It won’t be our last. Great food served by attentive friendly staff. The food was plentiful and full of flavour.

As always the food was excellent.. I cannot express enough how delicious the food here is and one of the few restaurants I can go to without being unwell afterwards due to food intolerances. They omit things I cannot eat on request and always listen. The young Thai girl who covered on the weekday 2 weeks ago was a refreshing change, as she was friendly and genuine. It makes the visit more worth while.

I thought I knew Thai food pretty well, but somehow the chef extracted more flavours from dishes that I know than I thought possible! Literally everything was exquisite quality and taste.

The name of the restaurant is right: typical Thai food way above average. Also the interior reminds of an asian restaurant.

Can’t review the food as turned away even though we had booked a table. I understand that sometimes covers overrun but why be so rude to a customer who had booked!?

The Waiters were very rude, and belligerent , as a businessman who travels frequently, I have eaten in numerous restaurants some good some bad, but this one by far is the worst, Being told to pay up front when others are paying after the service is rendered leaves me with a strong feeling of discrimination and prejudice, I would highly recommend they change their customer service or they will go out of business soon, I would not be surprised if the rats and insects were gaining weight there

For a relatively small restaurant they provide excellent food. Due to their popularity the tables are quite close together, much better to sit in the front part rather than the rear. the few staff are kept very busy. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Only let down is the state of the toilets which are in need of improvement.

Ate here last night (16th August) turned up late but never seemed to be a problem with the staff, who were very friendly. The food was the best I’ve had outside of Thailand, very fresh, great value for money. The Penang was on point & the papaya salad was spicy just how it should be. Friendly people good service. The food delicious. Tomkagai-soup creamy and nice medium spicy, hot fish is hot and not stir fried, grate. Great redcurry chicken with fresh vegetables nica salads and noodle styles. 20 poundwith wine is reasonable.

First visit for my Nan's birthday. We all enjoyed the meal. Friendly staff and reasonable service. Food was served reasonably quickly. Not really authentic Thai Food though, but was nice like I have said. Not sure if the main chef was actually Thai. The area we sat was at the back of the restaurant. It was a bit dated and in need of refurbishment. Reasonably priced.

This is a firm favourite with my brother in law and he was keen to take us on Friday night. The food is excellent and the staff are really friendly. The place could do with a lick of paint but that hardly matters when the food is so good. We will be back soon.
