Nando's in Glasgow City

DO NOT COME IF ENGLISH - the managers got serious prejudice and issues xx and don’t come if you like Nando’s usual menu as half of is missing but apparently people only want chicken and fries here!!

Went to Nando’s St.Enoch square for dinner as Nando’s has always been a reliable chain for me. Restaurant was quiet with plenty of staff around. Order came of chicken with two sides - chips and sweet corn. Chips were cold - asked for some fresh and put butter on the corn. Fresh Chips came back and noticed that the butter had partly melted and then congealed on top of the corn. The corn was barely warm too. By this stage I couldn’t be bothered to ask for a fresh corn too. Really spoiled it - won’t be going back. Staff were friendly. It’s not an expensive place but also Nando’s isn’t that cheap anymore either. Very disappointed - they need to pick up their game - serving hot sides is not difficult. 😞

First time in a Nando's with my sisters and my mom. We are portuguese visiting Glasgow and we didnt find the experience itself very nice. 1. At the restaurant we had to order from the app. There is nobody to help guide you in your order and took us like half an hour just to figure out what to get. We all picked the lemon & herb option for the chicken cause we dont like spicy food. In Portugal, usually the "lemon" option means no spice. We know in Nando's the "lemon" option has a bit of spice and we were fine with that. The problem was that it was still very spicy. I think the issue was because it had the Peri salt and Peri Tame on the dish.. Because there was no one serving to ask and explain, we didnt realise that beforehand. It ruined the whole dish. Personally, I find that it doesnt have a lot of logic...If you ask for the lemon option it emplies that we don't enjoy/want spice or piri-piri. But mostly our fault in ordering, definitely. 2. It doesnt seem a good representation of portuguese food. It would be nice if on the starters it had "bolinhos de bacalhau" or some "rissóis". The only portuguese thing on the starters are the olives. For the sides, it could have a "plain" rice option for example. 3. For the portuguese beer it only has Sagres. Personally, we prefer Super Bock (the other main beer in Portugal). So, yeah, overall not a great experience.

Food was very tasty. I liked the free refills of my drink. The frozen yogurt I had for dessert was delicious and cool. I wish there were more frozen yogurt stores in Glasgow.

2 words. PINK CHICKEN. My wife was outraged to see pink chicken, forcing her to leave her food after a few bites. I was only later informed after her having some poor symptoms of ill health, that her chicken WAS PINK. Unbelievable. For such a big franchise, very poor…smh.

Shout out to the fantastic staff at this restaurant on Monday 24th July when we visited for lunch. Young female ( possibly manager? , not sure but she should be! ) and lovely guy. They were so friendly and lovely and seemed to take real pride in their job. Just sorry I didn’t get their names.

Usually delighted with my experience at nandos, I do not live in Glasgow so thought to try the one here. Staff clearly inexperienced and aloof. Asked for mayonnaise and the staff member disregarded my needs.

Terrible quinoa salad, missing items in this salad was croutons which the staff came out to say they had none and would nuts do instead, which was fine. Other missing items were feta and the quinoa itself, there was a sprinkling of it instead of a healthy portion. When I sent the plate back for them to add the feta, it came back with no quinoa, no salad dressing, a couple of sun dried tomatoes and some feta. Still, no croutons.

Best Nando’s I’ve visited and Julie the manager made our experience. We visited later in the evening when they were winding down but she went above and beyond to make us welcome and gave us a flavour of local culture. What a star.

Went in for a takeaway. They didn’t have any salad or rice! Other people that came in after us got served their food. Two staff members apologised for the wait after 10 minutes. Half an hour later we are still waiting & then it felt like they were avoiding us & saying anything. Very slow service, chips & corn on the cob were cold. Didn’t get the hummus with the pitta. Couldn’t be bothered going back to tell them as we were so hungry & annoyed. Wouldn’t go back. Very disappointing for the price we paid as Nando’s isn’t exactly a cheap restaurant!

From the moment we entered the establishment the service was impeccable, extremely friendly waitstaff all round and made us feel very welcomed. However, initially the food was a completely different story. In general everything was very underwhelming. Even before our food arrived we were encountering problems, The syrup needed changed on the coke; ended up with a glass full of soda water after paying extra for the sugar tax, parts of our order were no longer available and were told it would be a 20 minute wait on the food. At first this wasn’t an issue especially as the staff catered to our needs incredibly well and even offered free starters while we waited. After our 30+ minute wait the food was disappointing to say the least. Cold and lumpy mash, veiny low quality chicken thighs, cold chips and a grilled pineapple that showed no signed of grilling. However after expressing our disappointment with the manager Scott Mooney he went completely above and beyond to sort out all of our issues completely free of charge. He was an absolutely amazing help and provided us with a whole new replacement meal. So instead of going home hungry, unsatisfied and feeling like we wasted money we were now full, extremely pleased with the quality of our food and happy to have come. Had we left after the first round of food we definitely would not have been back to Nando’s for a long time if at all but the amendments definitely made us change our minds and will be happy to be back soon. Well done to Scott for making our time there worth while and completely worth the money. Again amazing job with the service!

Until we found our feet and explored, it was nice to find a Nando’s for the familiar. Had a rainbow salad with chicken breast. Yum 😋 The staff were welcoming, attentive and helpful. Sorry I didn’t get a name. The place was clean and tidy.

We had a nice meal here and the food was good as always at Nando's. Service was average and quite slow but the food made up for that. Minor niggles - they had run out of chicken thighs, which is understandable, but they also ran out of salt, which is not. How can a restaurant run out of salt?

Food was good as usual Nando’s standard. Ordered burger and chicken wrap was tasty. However, we wanted to have chicken liver with pitta bread which wasn’t available. Will be back for quick lunch.

...so you can’t go wrong with whatever you order although I’ve never enjoyed the wraps or burgers as much as I do the butterfly chicken. The recently reintroduced Garlic BBQ flavouring is pretty good. Not overly strong, not too subtle either but now I’ve tried it I’ll probably stick to my usual going forward. The chicken wings were particularly well cooked - so soft and tasty and delicious the chicken just fell off the bone perfectly. This is one of Nando’s smaller capacity restaurants and is usually pretty busy regardless of time or day so be prepared to wait or sit outside if it’s not too cold or rainy - especially in the current post-lockdown predicament. The staff were friendly, efficient and bring you everything you need. Overall, very pleased and so full up it was my only meal of the day. Great job!

Was a great quick eat. special sauces are great staff are welcoming. Overall it was enjoyable. A variety of great choices tp eat from but my personal favorite was the wing roulette with the mixture of sauces and side order of chips and corn.

Nando's food is always delicious and the stenochs centre store has exceptionally polite staff and quick service. Always a lovely trip. Would highly recommend the fino pitta!

We think this restaurant is the friendliest Nando's we have ever been in! All the staff were super helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We went in several times for lunch or dinner during our short stay in Glasgow and the staff were so welcoming and helpful every visit. The food was standard Nando's fare, fast and tasty, but the staff really made it stand out. So thanks to all of you for your efforts, customers DO notice and really appreciate it.

We arrived on Wednesday afternoon at 3pm and were asked to come back in 35 minutes as they were very busy. We came back 35 minutes later but still waited another 20 minutes to be seated. I had the butterfly chicken which was very dry. My partner and I both had the peri peri chips which were soggy and bland. My second time visiting Nandos and my opinion is that it is extremely overrated.

Its a self-service chicken restaurant chain! Order at the till, choose how spicy you want your chicken and select a side order. Does what it says on the tin!

First time for us trying Nando's. We got a meal for two which was good enough value but we sat for a while not realising we had to go to the counter to order. We did have to wait a while for our order but we got a free side to compensate us by the sound fella serving us. Enjoyable and decent value for money.

We came here because we wanted something relatively quickly before spending a night out in the city. We had a standard Nandos experience - efficient, somewhat unexciting but does the job. In and out pretty speedily. If you want to make an evening of it, go to an independent restaurant.

Visited here last weekend. Have always found the food to be tasty. Id recommend going for early dinner, as it gets very busy and the waiting lists can get long. I usually order the sharing platter, which is always well cooked and plenty of food to share.

Regresé de Cork para mi tesis de la maestría fuera de reuniones Kick con mi supervisor en Glasgow Caledonian University, y después de un ajetreado día de trabajo decidí pagar una visita de regreso a Nando's en la parte inferior del estilo con uno de mis muchos amigos internacionales. Parece como si lo único que importa es conseguir prestar incluso si están encajados en el punto no es agradable para el cliente. Necesitan repensar el plan de mesa para este Nando's.

I have been to this branch of Nandos on several occasions and it pretty much does what it says in the tin! Food is not bad, can't go wrong with self service! I tend to come here if I'm looking for somewhere not too expensive.

I wish there was a Nandos in my state. When I come to the UK I always eat at Nandos. I love the chicken and the various sauce options. This Nandos was like most of them, busy and fun.

I dined here with two friends so was at their mercy. Not my sort of food. Restaurant for teenagers and anyone desperate for some chicken. The sauces were not to my liking. The chips with the main were a little soggy and the coleslaw bland. This restaurant is very good however for someone on a budget and in my humble opinion you get what you pay for.

Fuimos a este es muy concurrido de en un día y nos sentaron a 2 minutos de la inicial llegó antes de que la persona que había pedido sábado regreso y fue muy agradable la comida principal era deliciosa y salió muy rápidamente. El personal era muy servicial. En general comida muy agradable

Es muy bastante estándar. Realmente el servicio amable, gran selección de los alimentos disponibles y la comida siempre es agradable. Pocas veces he estado en el ambiente ha sentido un poco escaso, pero que parece ser más la distribución del lugar de nada. Un buen lugar para tomar un bocado, pero yo no me molestaría si los tiempos de espera son largos.

Si te gusta picante de pollo es muy es una buena opción con un ambiente acogedor. Lo que hace que este particular es muy especial es que siempre está lleno, que da, para mí, un gran bullicio - así que si no te gusta hacer cola y bullicio, luego ir temprano!

Este es el mejor de Nando que he estado. Sí, no es el más grande y su siempre estaba ocupado, pero el personal es excelente y siempre te hacen sentir bienvenido. Personas que su queja no merece la pena, pero la calidad de su Pollo a pagar! Esto no no KFC! La comida siempre es excelente, y viene en buen momento. Me encanta este lugar.

Felt really let down with this branch of Nandos; although the food was ok there is insufficient seating and had to queue for 10-15 minutes. Customer service not great and not the quickest.

Me and my mates were on our way to see Slaves in Glasgow (we're from Edinburgh) and thought "lads, how about a cheeky nando's?" So we took out seats as the emotionless waitress approached us asking the obvious question of "have you been to nando's before?" Ahaha who do you think I am. Anyway, we thought we'd be extra cheeky and use our free cups to fill it up with coke; even though we asked for water if that didn't sound cheeky enough. So me, cheeky lad Declan and Marc Duke of Bantery were having some saucy banter until the waitress paid us another visit and slapped us a bill for the soft drinks. She then explained "I don't know how it works in your nando's, but that's actually stealing" as she made the assumption that we weren't from around. We paid for our food and the cheeky banter with the lads went as flat as my coca-cola. The meal wasn't even that great - I had to check for spit. If you want a cheeky experience, wouldn't recommend this Nando's.
