Nando's in Glasgow City

Restaurant closed. No sign of life. Was after opening time. Tables and chairs not yet out. Saw someone else walk away too so that's more than just me they missed out on.

This spot is a great place to hang out. The food was very good after a tough netball session. It was nice to wind down with some chicken and Perri fries. I would definitely recommend to foreigners as I am from England

A great spot and atmosphere. The food was cooked to perfection. Great value for money! Came after a hard session and it honestly cured me and helped me reach my protein goals :)

Had a lovely dinner with my friends at Nando’s West end. The food was delicious and just hit the spot. Such good service too ! thank you!

I have never had a bad experience at Nando's (and I never usually write reviews) but we really had a terrible time here. The manager was incredibly unfriendly and rude - he really needs a lesson on customer service. They were out of a variety menu items and the manager was incredibly unhelpful, would not let us substitute items. Was told I could not have a side of peri tamer (which I have been given every time I have ever been to Nando's). I even asked if I could pay for it and they said no. We will not be back to this Nando's! (The staff other than the manager were nice)

Tried Nandos in Bournemouth two weeks ago and it was amazing, couldn't wait to take my husband when I got home. Visited with him today and was left extremely disappointed, the chicken was small & dry. When asleep of everything was OK by the girl serving I told her I was disappointed she just smiled, laughed nervously and walked away. Definitely won't be rushing back anytime soon.

I had the pleasure of visiting this Nando’s yesterday. The restaurant had plenty of character charm. The lady who served us was full of beans and very helpful, she couldn’t do enough for us. We ordered bottomless drinks and they arrived full, something that used to happen in all Nando’s but doesn’t any longer. The food was a good maintaining a high standard.

I’m not one to normally gripe, but I felt I had to share my experience of Nando's on Vinicombe Street - the only Nando’s where the lemon and herb chicken is as sour as the manager's attitude. I had the displeasure of visiting this establishment and was met with a manager in a blue shirt who not only treated myself and other customers with disrespect but also had the audacity to smash a bottle of medium spice peri sauce next to our table (was this an intentional attack or just poor coordination? I may never know). And as if that wasn't enough, our order was entirely lost by the mythical "peri-peri computer." I would advise anyone considering dining at this Nandos to steer clear and find a reputable establishment where the food is cooked to perfection and the managers have some semblance of customer service. As if the rubbery chicken, rude manager, and shattered bottle of peri sauce weren't enough, the cherry on top of our dining experience was when I tried to redeem my hard-earned chilli rewards. The manager in the blue shirt looked at me like I was asking him to pay for my meal out of his own pocket. He acted as if the simple act of me redeeming my rewards was a personal affront to him. It was clear that the only thing hotter than the peri sauce at this establishment, was the manager's attitude towards customer satisfaction. Nando's on Vinicombe Street, you have failed to live up to your peri-peri promises.

I have eaten at more Nando's than most (including its predecessor, Chickenland in Rosettenville in the 1970's). This follows the formula of UK Nando's outlets in decor, menu etc. It's a big space; we were eating mid-afternoon, so as expected, it was nearly empty. The food was as good as always. The service was great. And the setting, with glass all down one side, was quite special. This must be one of my favourite Nando's!

Ordered delivery from here for dinner for 4. They accidentally forgot a dish, but were very apologetic when we called. To apologize for it, they refunded part of the cost of the order and gave us two free desserts with the dish that was forgotten. We did have to go pick up the food, but that's because Just Eats, the delivery service, is stupid. Upon arival, the manager was very apologetic and offered free sauces in addition to the free desserts and the refund. Would definitely recommend them because, in addition to the great service, the food is absolutely delicious!!!

Our first visit to this Nando's in the recently converted historic Botanic Gardens Garage on Vinicombe Street, Hillhead. It lacked the buzz of other Nando's located usually in or near shopping centres and was airy and spacious and there were plenty of vacant seats - which was quite surprising for when we first arrived we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for a table for 4. I gave up counting the amount of empty tables when I went to visit the toilets! Once seated, we were told it would be a half hour wait for food as they were busy with 'delivery orders'. I suppose this is the way of life now but it used to be the customer in the shop, seated at their table would receive priority but fair enough. Some 45 - 50 minutes later our food arrived, bog standard Nando's fayre. It was neither a hit or a miss, it's not the type of meal for 'celebration' nights out, it was purely functional and served it's purpose. We might return but if we're constantly told it is going to be 30 minutes wait for food or deliveries first then this might not be our branch of choice.

My daughter has been talking about Nando's for a long time, so naturally we had to give it a try. I had a butterfly chicken and my daughter had a halloumi burger (she doesn't eat meat). Very impressed! Didn't like the pay before you eat system though
