Nando's in Cardiff

I am really disappointed with their service. The manager there named Maggie behaves very badly and does not respect the customer at all. Most of the food is burnt, you have to wait for a long time for the food to be ready. I only waited an hour for the food to be ready. The food was burnt and I was not happy at all. I am really sorry for the manager. 👎

Always have a great experience at Nandos. Bilal (staff) is always friendly and helpful and makes the experience a lot more enjoyable.

I didn't enjoy my time much, as I had to wait in a queue just to get some fast food!

Was a nice atmosphere but the service was lacking with no extra plates for grabs or any paper/plastic straws also there was some knives but forks weren’t available. The peri salt chips wasn’t that great with the peri salt just dumped not evenly distributed or staying on the chips. The classic peach tea wasnt available here and it was quite crampt. Overall it was lacking compared to ny standards from previous Nandos experiences.

Great location, friendly enough staff, sadly the food served was cold, not even warm, cold. Big fan of Nandos but this, sadly, is the worst one food wise we have ever been to

Nando’s is a go-to spot for myself, family and friends. I visited two days ago and a very kind gentleman stood out with his exceptional service. Bilal very kindly provided complimentary drinks and had very quickly responded to a few accidental issues we had.

The food was great and amazing service by Bilal.

Pre-ordered food to be collected at 5pm. 1hr 30 mins in advance. Get to restaurant, they hadn't started cooking our food. Queue a wait that we wanted to avoid.

Cold sweetcorn and they’ve stopped doing the nhs discount. Good job guys

Went for a meal with friends. The overall experience was good. The main meal was fine. The side salad I ordered was shocking. Consisted entirely of rocket with 3 slices of cucumber and 2 baby tomatoes cut in half. Come on Nandos do a proper side salad

Always have loved Nandos and the food. This time, we were 14 of us it was my work leaving do. Everybody enjoyed the food.

I came into Nando’s today and was sat down by a lovely lady called Ellie. She was so smiley and happy when greeting us.She Recommended the sharing platter which was banging! Top marks for Ellie, very happy with the service x

It is surprising that there is no one to greet you when you first come here. I've been here a few times and this hasn't changed. You come and sit and wait for someone to give you a table. This long wait is tiring. Other than that, the food and even the sauces are very good. I recommend the garlic bread.

Service is extremely bad. Drinks don’t come and we had to grab at the counter after five times requesting it to the waiter.

We went for lunch over there during Bank Holiday, I can’t imagine, Nando’s had no stock of soft drinks and we have to buy it from store outside, no water to drink, have to get water from top floor.

Halal Chicken Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food wasn’t very warm and was bit dry.

We been here for an hour and I had to go up and ask what 5-6 times how much longer!I have kids and the time I had to wait is so unbelievable. Nando’s you can definitely do better😕

Manager Maggie was super rude as soon as we walked in, was with an elderly gentleman who had never been to the chain before and she came across aggressive and condescending when we asked any questions. Was then ignored and multiple tables around us got their food even though they came in way after we did. Waited over an hour for our meals flagged down multiple people and had no follow up...got our drinks straight away so that was good at least. Not a nice experience at all.

Best thing is it's halal and service is exceptional

Always go to Nando’s whilst I am in town, but usually the one in st David’s centre. This time we were on the other side so we decided to pop into this one. It looks very shabby but anyway gave it a try. Staff were ok but the food looked dead. My burger came cold , they did cook me another one but that was just as cold. They obviously do not probe there food to the correct temperature of 80c , it only takes 6 seconds or it would of been piping . No offer of a drink or a desert for the inconvenience. Wouldn’t go back there , and it is so expensive for what it is anyway.

Terrible customer service, food took over 40 minutes to arrive but others on our table received their orders in 10 minutes. Didn’t receive any constellation or empathy.

We ordered a takeaway and sat on some steps nearby as it was very busy ... having bought a drink. We were on the way to see Coldplay, and it was rammed. But they prioritised really well, and our food was ready within 15 minutes. In terms of what Nando's does, it does it really really well. 5/5 well. But no Michelin star, so relatively, it's a 4/5 I guess.

Out of stock??? Called them before coming as we were visiting from london here. Was told it was okay to come in and as soon as we were greeted by the host we got told they don’t have any food to serve??? Even though we spoke to someone on the phone 30 minutes ago and were welcome to come in. Mind you it was an extremely quiet Wednesday as it was raining cats and dogs with a storm. Extremely unhappy s as I was travelling with a hungry 4 year old too.

went here yesterday around 4:45ish- ordered butterfly chicken with peri-salted chips and broccoli, and some halloumi. food came quickly, was very nice and service was very pleasant

My FIRST EVER nandos experience being a vegetarian was mind blowing!!!!!! Love the recommendation made by Conrad (employee at Nandos) to order a beanie burger which was basically chickpea and corn burger. LOVE THE BURGER and spicy rice as an add on. Highly recommended for vegetarians. I see myself going to Nandos often now!! Thank you Conrad for your great recommendation and service.

I wish the manager was more helpful rather than rushing and waking out. Jsut because the restaurant is busy doesn’t mean that I as a customer isn’t important and clearly they did not care about the customer. The food was cold and when complained they tried to give excuses and walked away. They reheated the food that made my meal more chewy and tasteless. then they offered me a free dessert or a fresh meal for which I wasn’t willing to wait since my appetite died. they suggested a refund and I accepted it and walked away. Would appreciate better customer service.

Almost no wait time even when it’s busy, food has been superb, and the customer service is the best in Cardiff - came here twice in a row because of it!! Manager is amazing, every single person in customer service should learn from him.

We visited the restaurant to dine in at 9:20, but they said there were no tables left even though there are only 2 of us and there were free tables. There were also people still eatung and ordering. I do not understand why they would not cater for 2 people at 9:20 when they close at 10.

*Halal Nando's* Went to Nando's on the 15.01.2023 for a lunch time meal. It was a Saturday so I expected it to be busy, however, we were seated straight away at a clean table and provided a high chair for my daughter. Our server was polite and explained how to order either at the till or using the QR code on the table. Qr code was easy and accessible. Ordered a full platter to share with my wife with a caramel cheesecake for dessert and a checked breast filler for my daughter off the kids menu. The food came at a good time as expected. I was disappointed on this occasion with the chicken as it was quite dry and ruined the meal a little. My daughter's chicken fillet was also quite dry. The sides were good with no complaints. The best part was the goey caramel cheesecake which came with double cream. It was really good and could've easily had two. Overall a good experience but disappointed with the chicken. Good service though.

Ordered food for delivery. Estimated delivery time was 7.45 - 7.55 but the time kept doing up. Eventually it changed to 9 - 9.10 so my partner phoned up to see what was happening and was told the driver was on their way to the restaurant. After coming off the phone I had an email saying my refund was on its way, the store had canceled my order after I waited for over an hour! My partner phoned up to see what happened and he was hung up on twice by rude staff. Absolutely disgusting service and will now be avoiding and advising others to steer clear of this Nandos restaurant.

Group of 16, all our orders were correct and Mel was brilliant throughout our visit. She was friendly, speedy and provided an overall great service.

Mixed experience with the staff, some very welcoming, others not fussed. Quite a long wait for a table / food when there was lots of space.

Sat down and ordered and felt like I was dining in a Michelin star restaurant. Staff member by the name of Bill was a legend and incredibly kind. Top bloke give him a raise!

Absolutely appalling, it’s as if they forgot we existed. We waited 55 minutes for 5 meals with zero acknowledgement of the time wasted. The bog was flooded and smelt foul.

Food-wise, you know what you’re getting at a Nando’s. Perfectly good and decent price. The thing that separated this particular Nando’s was the staff. Absolutely lovely, really helpful and kind to a big group. Considering that this in the middle of a city centre with a high volume and turnover of customers that must be quite trying, the staff were lovely and looked after us superbly.

No knives as they are all in the wash?? Garlic bread like leather. Chicken so dry I nearly choked. I think I’ll stop there.

I came only for some desserts, but I was not disappointed! The Salted caramel brownie was the tastiest thing I've ever tried! Overall, it's a cool place with a nice atmosphere and great staff.

Ordered 4 chicken thighs for delivery using the Nando’s app. This is what turned up: 1 thigh, 2 minuscule ones and a bit of gristle. To label what I received as "4 chicken thighs" would be going against the trade descriptions act. I called the number provided to complain and was told there was nothing they could do for us. Sat in this restaurant before and had great service but the polar opposite seems to be true with delivery. I would advise anybody to think twice about ordering delivery from this Nandos if they think this is acceptable to send out. This was as on top of the order arriving over 30 minutes late. Very poor.

Absolutely lovely Nando's; best in Cardiff (and there are a few!). Tony was lovely as were the rest of the staff. Very chill, very friendly, very helpful. Also got recommended this hot sauce which went down a treat. Much love xoxo

We visited here Friday 27th May ( Ed Sheeran) and although very busy advised if we left contact details they’d get in touch , which they did within the time stated , all staff very friendly and helpful even though obviously extremely busy, food was good too thank you Nando’s for a great experience on an extremely busy day in the city !

The staff on the upper level was great. The only thing I could mention that was a bit off was the loud music. It was a tiny bit too loud. Otherwise it was great.
