This is simply one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been in and that includes Mumbai, New Delhi and Accra. Forget there is no meat just come and eat here. Phenomenal food - you have to try it. Great, friendly staff too.

Such a lovely place, lovely staff, lovely food. Every single time. We’ve been about five times now and are never disappointed. We had the set meal for two tonight which is a thali to share with a giant dosa - absolutely delicious.

Been here several times but not for a while. The waitress was a trainee and was really attentive and friendly. Food was excellent. Portion size to price was good value. A visit to this restaurant will not disappoint.

Utterly delicious food. Everything we had was amazing.

Booked a table at Namaste for 4 people, as there is also a Namaste Village we ended up at the wrong venue. I was reassured at the new venue that it was fine and they could accommodate us there (we had offered to go to the correct venue). We ended up having a meal, the bill came to £168 for the 4 of us. I then had £19.80 deducted from my card for not showing up at the booking. I replied to the email I had informing me of this and they said they would clear it up but this hasn’t happened. Disappointing to drive an hour to see friends, pay for parking, £42 for my share of the bill and £19.80 for missing a booking. Expensive evening. We were planning on going back as one of my friends a vegan but if this is the kind of service they offer then I won’t be back.

We had papadums and the pickle tray as a little snack to begin and the tray was delicious and fragrant and fresh. For mains we decided to get 4 curry dishes between us, and they were all as good as each other! What an amazing establishment to have in Norwich. I would recommend everyone to come here. If you’re a meat eater, it doesn’t matter, every dish’s tastes so good you’re not thinking about if it’s a piece of meat or a piece of veg!

The restaurant is absolutely lovely and the staff so friendly. The food exceeded our expectations. We tried some new dishes we wouldn’t normally pick (all vegan) and wow!!! we had a sharing platter of starters, a butter naan, gobi manchurian, pan bhaji and one pot biryani.

We have tried a 3 course dinner here starting from Dahi puri, Panner pocket( both the starters are tasty), then we have ordered Dal Makhni, Naan, and 🌶 Paneer (All these items we loved it, There are scope of improvement in Dal Makhni), at last we have ordered Sreekhand (this is awesome) and Gajar ka Halwa (Average) . Overall, it's worth spending.

A strange experience. We were a table of 4 who had booked a table for 7.45 last saturday. We arrived and stood at the bar for some minutes while a large table was dealt with. The food was good but we felt the portions weren't over generous, especially the rice and naan. We shared starters but our plates were cleared before all of the party had finnished eating. We ordered coffee but both coffee and desserts hadn't been officered to us. In fact, the waiter came to us at 10.00 and asked us to settle the bill as they closing at 10.00. We felt the price was high for what we had.

Amazing curry and friendly staff

Restaurant is being refurbished so it was quiet (hence 3 stars for atmosphere). It’s a vegetarian/vegan restaurant which I wouldn’t normally go for but the food was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend and would come again.

Great experience, although much prefer the more peaceful Indian music, for more calming atmosphere.

Went for quick nibble in the evening to Namaste India at Norwich Thorpe Road. Recommend trying the paneer pockets and masala chai

A pale imitation of Namaste Village and I'm still none the wiser as to whether they're run by the same people? The spicing in the curries was very good but some of the sides were grim . Setting and customer service a letdown, too

We went as a group of eight and the table we got couldn't even accommodate 8 chairs, so we had to put one chair on the side of the table. We then ordered mango lassi, wasn't very impressed as it was more like mango juice. Then ordered some poppadoms and was a bit surprised that no dips or pickles were offered with it. There was no dosa available. The chilli paneer and manchurian tasted great while the pav bhaji was alright. The kaju curry was also nice. We did think that the portion sizes could have been better for the 'well above average' prices.

Nice Meal Experience, Good Service, Nice Ambience...

Accidentally ordered from here rather than Namaste Village. Don't make the same mistake as me! Ordered a collection. Greeting from staff and all subsequent interactions couldn't have been more indifferent. The food is fine to good, although the Buffalo Chick'n was very disappointing and had no flavour, plus a poor texture. I didn't eat inside but the atmosphere would not make me want to. It's fine but in future it won't be a choice of mine.

Came for a birthday dinner and had an absolutely fantastic meal. As delicious as ever, 10/10 would recommend.

I love this place - as a vegetarian who loves Indian food, it’s a real treat to come here. Last visit, I brought 2 carnivores with me and they loved it too. The dosas are absolutely fantastic and the starters and main meals are innovative and incredibly tasty. They also use very good meat substitutes for some of the meals.

The Atmosphere is of course as you make it, but friendly chatty and welcoming. Food is the best I have tasted outside India and Sri Lanka. Absolutely Fabulous! Individual portions are not expensive , but it is easy to get carried away and it soon mounts up. Also they add a 12.5% service charge. Still well worth it, had a smashing leisurely evening there with the family… as did others. Great for families and couples …

Delicious food, great service, not much more I can say really. Next time I’m in Norwich I’ll definitely be coming back here. We came in just as they were about to close, but they happily stayed open longer for us and at no point did I feel rushed. The Kaju Paneer Masalar was amazing.

First of all the food was amazing and staff was very polite and friendly. We requested a brownie in the end for our daughter’s birthday as to surprise her and they made it so beautifully with a candle on top and presented it as complimentary along with her favourite chilly paneer. Would highly recommend everyone who loves Indian foods specially dal makhani , dosa and chilly paneer. Thanks to the whole team

What a fabulous meal! My friend and I had a few different dishes that were all prepared with care and presented beautifully. The servers were lovely and attentive. Don't pass them by because you think you'll miss the meat at this vegetarian/vegan establishment... you won't, because the other flavors are so tasty. Please visit this restaurant; they do such scrumptious work, they should be busy every night!

I do not like plain paratha and lachha paratha, they are literally scam, both are same , with different prices. What they do buying frozen paratha , which is in dhough form.. in 3 pound you will get 20 they sale 1 for 3.45 they just cooked inside the house , the most funny thing is ,they don't know how to cook that frozen dough also ...which comes burnt or raw.... I have pics too I was very disappointed I caught that just because I am chef . They only thing I don't like is ,if they are charging 3.45 pounds for that single piece paratha make in house and sever what is should be ......I highly recommend do not sell this paratha , which is not worthy for this price and not fresh too .... because guests is not expecting this on name of "India" we have really good cuisine please respect that sir .(owners)

We visited on a quiet Tuesday evening for dinner. There was a good atmosphere and we appreciated being seated next to a big radiator and being able to watch the world go by through the bay windows. Our food and drinks arrived promptly and it was delicious. We had the Chat Platter, Tikka Masala Paneer, and Vegetable Kolhapuri (with rice and paratha). I'd definitely recommend Namaste if you're looking for tasty vegetarian or vegan food with a nice atmosphere.

Really good food. Order Kaju Paneer masala. I guess they dont have a tandoor and hence no fresh naan bread. But the food was really good and the service by Jatin was excellent. Will surely recommend for good Indian food.

What a shame, Namaste. You basically put some frozen mixed veg in a curry sauce. When you first started you used to use proper nice fresh veg, the standard has dropped.

The flavour and quality of Namaste’s dishes is leagues above anything I’ve tasted in Norwich and rivals the best I’ve tried anywhere else in the UK. This is a gem of a restaurant and if you’ve never tried it you should. The higher prices are more than justified so if you only eat or get a takeaway from one restaurant this year it should be from Namaste.
