Been here before , they were good but they have deteriorated, very slow service and food was not tasty at all, either excessive salt or no salt at all. Did not enjoy, a complete waste of money I’d say.

Fraudsters and should be ashamed because they are overcharging customers. There are no prices written on sweets. I was only given 4 rasgullas and 4 gulab jammun in a sweet box and was charged £7. This is so expensive compared to any other shop I have bought sweets off. Stay clear from this shop.

Regular customers, we usually dine in and orders take aways from Nakodar. Delicious food and great selection of flatbreads: special paratha (stuffed with paneer), aloo paratha; chole bathure and pav bhaji. When ordering for takeaway, call and pass your order. Food usually takes about 30/40min to be ready for pick up.

The one thing everyone in our family liked the most was veg gravy manchurian however the quantity of the dish disappointed us, we were not expecting just a small bowl of it. I liked how they served butter and pickle with the parantha. The overall taste of the food was good.

Good Punjabi food but lack a bit in service also no heating in the shop in winters.

Visited with the family after seeing/ hearing a lot about it on social media, so we thought we'd give it a chance while being in the area. We walked in with high expectations, but unfortunately we left unimpressed with the food, specially for the high prices in comparison to other veg restaurant's on the same street. We requested a cup of water, to be told "we sell bottled water if wanted for £1.50".

Just brought these and burnt !!

Service non existence, food ordered so slow coming

we went as family a few weeks ago. ordered food up to 40 pounds and some take away veg noodles. The noodles was smelly and spoilt. Never order noodles here as they were not only cold but stale.I contacted the shop who asked me to bring it back.But I live 8miles away and told her that next time to refund for this.Other chats were good.My advise to the management is not to sell noodles to keep the reputation. Customers should get fresh and hot food .

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I will never ever set foot in this place again and I will continue to tell every person that I come across how terrible this ordeal was. We have been in contact with the 'boss' of Nakodar catering since November where we had made our initial enquiry. This then continued into December where we engaged in a WhatsApp conversation to confirm the details of the catering required for my wedding of 350 people and the food. He then told us that we could come into the shop whenever we like to pay the deposit. We followed up again to ask whether or not he preferred cash or card and he said card is fine. We arrived at the store in January to be told by another lady that our booking does not exist and she had no idea what we were talking about!! She allowed us to speak to the 'boss' on the phone who completely denied ever speaking to us! We sent WhatsApp messages to him whilst he was on the phone to highlight the conversation but he continued to deny everything and said that he would call us tomorrow. The way he spoke to my elderly mother on the phone was disgusting and caused her to have a panic attack once we got back into our car. At such short notice (less than 2 months until the event) we didn't expect to find any other option but we definitely got lucky! He showed no remorse and was not interested at all in providing any kind of solution. Avoid at all costs.

Sadly not the same as what it used to be. The authentic taste has changed and doesn’t justify the high prices. Extortionate.

Food was cold and we received one samosas when it was shown there were three in a plate. Disappointed at the expensive price as only 50p each from everywhere else

Updated: BRING A COAT! Always freezing cold here. Sometimes if you get unlucky and sit in while a delivery is taking place, the door is left open so an already cold place is made colder with winds. Food gets cold very quickly as a result. Radiators always off unfortunately. Everyone I know has raved about the food here. So I came here with a friend. We had gobi and paneer prontai. SO delicious, they were nice and crispy on the outside, the filling was perfect (they put loads in). The service was a little cold, wasn't the warmest welcome and the waitress seemed a little emotionless. On top of that, I was refused tap water. I don't think I've ever been told that they cannot provide tap water... I guess they want you to pay for bottled water and never give anything away for free. It's a shame really, that was the only thing that let this place down, otherwise the food was brilliant. Will come again, but with my own water.

The owner is so arrogant don’t know how to speak and deal with costumer, food quality was not good enough , after that giving excuses.

First off all One of the currys had sand like particles in it It was not edible. Secondly I had ordered 'bhindi do pyaza' And it had loads and loads of onion in it rather than the actual vegetable and was overly seasoned with all the spices, Couldn't eat much of it. Do not plan to buy from them ever again.

Truly a vegetarian restaurant, loved the amritsari kulcha and pav bhaji. Staff was really welcoming. Had a great time with friends.

As an indian, I was frustrated looking for a truly authentic vegetarian Indian restaurant. It's refreshing to see that in this place. Loved the chole bhature.

Samosa chat "Omg" absolutely pantashtic!! Great menu, reasonable prices. Definitely recommend this one.

As soon as I walked in I felt like I had entered India the atmosphere is amazing and the service is carried out in high spirits I really enjoyed the Gulab Jamun.

Food is good but we have to wait for more then one hour for samosa chaat went there first time because my husband forced me to go there but really bad experience not recommended the staff is friendly but they don’t care customer is waiting they are busy in talking

My first and last experience is worst. 1. They did over charge without telling about it. How a pearson can eat 2 big bhaturas with a small bowl of chick peas. When I asked extra chick pea they charged me 5 quids while whole chola bhatura is costing 6 quids. Atleast one extra bowl of chick pea should be free. 2. Even theh do not serve tap water. 3. Sweets cost is too high. Even 8 quids extra as compared to london. Not gonna visit again.

Extremely pathetic experience... we ordered faloda from them...the milk in that was extreem smelly and tasted sour. I complained to the girl on the counter...she admitted that it is not smelling right...but still said its fine and we should eat it... she was not even apologetic and misbehaved even.... avoid at any cost....

We went there for two times we ordered pav bhaji and one mooli paratha its been 33 minutes now and I took nap In shop still my food wasn't arrived yet.food taste is good but the service is poor they can do better if they serve water first and give starters in second phase and pav bhaji in third. Staff is least Interested to communicate

Me & my partner came in to nakodar sweet centre on diwali 2023 not busy at all no sign off card machine not working but they wanted cash ps dodgy i say & very rude attitude by person serving us there no customer service here very poor the samosa that we got were burnt why charge people £ for 💩 They doen this before to us but i always thought its a one but no excuse!!!!! ur paying for a item ete u should get it in a good condition no matter what ever it is So please if your collect from here check your order is good 👍

If you want samosas and bhaturas , it is the best place to go. Though seating arrangements are not good but food is worth as take away

Best place for authentic Indian food

I ordered Samosas and Gulab Jamuns from this shop yesterday in the morning on the basis of the reviews. And the pick up time was 4:30pm as the order was big. I got my order ready for pick up at sharp 4:30 pm. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It’s a small place, clean but could be better. I am rating 4 stars only because of Samosa size was far too big. 50 Samosas were like 100 samosas in other shops. Taste was good but size of any item makes it presentable which was lacking. My guests couldn’t enjoy other food as one Somoza was like a meal. Gulab jamuns were awesome, taste, size and sweetness was just perfect. Quite a busy place. I would definitely order again. I recommend that you go and try out. I have added the photo only to show the size. Nothing else. I genuinely feel that owner of the business should check the reviews at least once a month and reply to the reviewers. Everyone is busy but we take time to write so that people see and come to try you out. Business becomes popular because of the feedback and reviews. Customer is a king in any business. We deserve at least a thank you from the owner and improvement on the feedback.

Only been twice and food has always been freshly made to order and a choice whether you want your food hot or cold, Prices very reasonable food tastes Amazing ordered veg pakoras & veg samosas and two large trays of Aloo Gobhi currys will be visiting again very soon.

rude and racist lady on till ive never had such bad service from any other indian vegetarian place, i was recommended this place by a friend, i visited (wearing a headscarf) i tried to give the lady my order was very pleasant and she blatantly stared at me and ignored me like i wasnt even present. i tried once again togive my order and again she looked at me and turned around. honestly ive never been treated this way by any other business or shop this place needs serious repair to its staff thought process

Went in today with my child and the lady behind the counter was so rude. I asked her a question about food I wanted to order and she looked straight at me and then ignored me to serve two Indian customers who had come in after me. I then asked her again the same question and she did the same again. As a Muslim woman wearing a hijab I felt this is why she treated me different. I will not be going here again as they clearly treat their customers different if they are not Indian. She didn’t even bother to say sorry one second let me take this order she just thought it was ok to blatantly ignore me infront of other customers.

Visit this shop a lot, always tasty authentic food. Four seated booths inside and you are able to sit on one or two tables outside, but otherwise a very small shop. The shop owner can often be a bit blunt or rude but the food is nice.

Smelling Sweets......Stale food

Lovely paratas and desi tea, ladies are really nice and helpful. Do pay a visit if in Birmingham.

Second time at this place after 1 disappointing visit last year. Ordered take away: Mixed paratha, samosa and matar paneer. Matar paneer was watered down and taste was below average, same with other dishes. There are many good restaurants elsewhere. Also in my experience the owner is a very rude fellow.

I called the restaurant to find out the prices. A lady answered the call but immediately disconnected the call. I called again. This was the fifth time i was calling and same lady answered the call. I asked her prices about samosa bc i was looking forward to order 50 samos. I asked her prices and type of variety they have as well as size. The lady on the phone dont seem to have know about. I asked her name but she she ignored and said to me call later. I asked her if i can speak to supervisor or anyone she said "they are busy". I went on asking none of you got time to take orders on the phone? She replied " we are busy" i asked her name again and she disconnected the call right there. So.. Management if you really want to run your business then can you train your people. I felt very insulting.The lady answered the call was rude, no knowledge or manners what so ever. I would have just slapped her right there

Went inside to wait 1 hour for food for a disgusting response from the big overweight man with a turban to say “20 min!” No customer service , overpriced the food isn’t fresh I would never return ! Many other places around the area to go to don’t waste your time or money.

Great place to eat. Great customer service. Highly recommended for Punjabi Food especially Punjabi Samousas. Try it to belive it. Absolutely lovely and yummy experience.

I wanted to give a 5 star because the food is amazing. I love their Aloo prantha and usually me and my partner visit every week. The only reason to give one star is the the customer service by the main Uncle who is there at the reception. He doesn’t know how to behave with customers and sometimes get rude in front of other people. You cant run a business with a poor customer service no matter how good the food is.

One of the worst experience ever in a restaurant. My friend is allergic and mentioned it during order but served her the wrong food which would have caused her serious allergic reaction and when enquired to the management he refused to accept the errors and on top of that he was very rude and charged her more than the original amount. Not recommended and never coming back to this place. Beware allergy suffers not a place for you loves. PS: Couldn’t find any certificate or stars for food and hygiene ratings onsite or online.

Disgusting service even it was there mistake the manager or owner didn’t responded well and honestly worst ever customer service with no respect to customer. Horrible service and disappointing experience with food. Also charged me 0.50 more for every peace of samosa. Not happy with service. I had allergy of onion I specified while ordering but still served onion stuffed partha and on asking they didn’t accept there mistake just disgusting. I am not going to recommend to anyone. I wish I could visit this place each month. Anyone looking for most authentic paranthas in Birmingham, this is the right place. I’ve tried almost all the parathas and they are all amazing in taste. :) i will definitely return anytime I’m in Birmingham.

Avoid avoid avoid-1.. Som1 recommend us for parathaz.. Went there,empty shop did wait 30mins for 3 parathaz and 1 curry pakora which they reheated in the micro and 2 glass of sweet Lassi... 2 times asked how long n typical answer coming. . Orderd full portion of curry pakora n gave us chutney bowl size cup with 2 pakoraz dip inside and charged 5 pounds.. 2 glass of sweet lassi 3.50 each.. My misses asked first 2 pay when we ordered n man replied no problem later cz he knew if i tell the price before head they walk away. . Really over price with small portions and the place is na even standard its a small takeaway na even a prop restaurant .. And further u can see recipient which is i posted.. Old typical Indian Unkle serving at the front and doing cooking at the back also..so dont embarrass yourself and your kids when especially ure hungry or with your kids....no even nearest parking when u come from different town That's the reason we realized this shop was empty n soon will be permanently closed with this sort of service, food n typical attitude ... Totally waste of money

Food was sent out at random times, oily, not presented well, no customer service, told to leave as they needed the seating. Terrible experience. Servers were rude, tardy and just inept dishes were incredibly small and several items were unavailable. No considerations to healthy or vegan needs. Took over 1 hour to get food then rushed out.

Visited this place and I was shocked to see dirty underwear in the corner of the toilet under the table. There was no toilet roll or hand soap available- obviously these are all serious health concerns. They didn’t clear the table for atleast 15 minutes after we’d sat down. Food was decent.

Go thre only if ve plenty of time to wait....for 1 paratha at least half an hour wait...still not sure if its done in half an hour...that too when shop is almost empty of customers

Don't order online or over phone, it's not worth waiting at all. Ordered on Uber eats once, waited almost 2 hours for a couple of things literally. Then did phone order and apparently they can't even make a plate of chana bhatura in 1 hour. Phone lady is confused and has no clue what to say or how long it's gonna take for the order. Not worth waiting 1 hour for your breakfast.

Used to be a regular customer as Nakodar did make tasty samosae. However, on one occasion when I ordered a bulk samosae, they were not fresh as they were previously were and had been re-fried. I let that go and gave them another chance and in between it's been ok then after couple months, same thing happened. Ordered large quantities of samasoa for the bank holiday weekend break, only to get home in the evening and find the samosae was re-fried again and the paper bag was drenched in oil. Had no time to report it as evening store was closed and next early morning was away for the break. On return called Nakodar in hope they would offer something in return however, they made it clear it will not happen again but will charge me again..very disaapointimg service and a dishonest one too. Nakodar in short was not interested in whatever i explained to them. Please check your bulk samosae before you leave to save you the hassle and trouble I had. Photos attached of greesy bag and re-fried/over cooked samosae! Fresh samosae do not drench in oil..!

Food is very tasty and many creative food options available. Falooda and good quality sweet dishes available. Wash room facility need to be improved. Parking off street is available. Service is good. Restaurant has seating area also. Takeaway and dining areas are clean. Closes early around 7pm so check the timings. Highly recommended. Gets very busy so you might have to wait

We order 1 pav baji ,1 chole bhuttare and lassi for this we waited 30 minutes to get our food. The worst service ever i faced , even the staff behaviour is not good . The lady who attends the customer talk so rudely she didn’t listen our order.

Me and my friends were there for brunch(recommended by a friend). We have ordered quite a few things in which I loved the noodle spring roll. We have ordered different parathas which were really good they have not put extra spices in filling of parathas they are just like home. Lassi’s are must try. You will get disappointed by chai. Also, sweets were also not good. We have also ordered vada pao which is not exactly tasted like vada pao. It’s worth the price I would say since we were 5 people and have spent like 30 to 40 pounds.

We have been coming here for years dispite the elderly mans attitude. Today was just what the hell I was paying for my food with an old £50 note and he said we don’t accept it. It’s legal tender. He told me why you giving it me. Give it to the bank. I said it’s still ok to give in shops. He was very rude and said he had a sign up To say not accepting £50 notes. Which was a lie Horrible man. I won’t be going there ever again Also smile you miserable s**t
