Lovely evening with the family. We had the set menu which was a good mix of great foods and plentiful. Kids enjoyed a mocktail. Kind staff and lovely food. A good addition to Eltham.

Not authentic Thai food Chili's in abundance, but no lemongrass or all other herbs and spices that make up the wonderful Thai The cooking of the seafood was disgraceful scallops, not Pan fried squid rubbery the muscles weren't green-lipped the first time for me not to have this in a Thai restaurant and only two of them The menu is expensive and to add insult to injury a 12 and 1/2% service charge is added Doubtless to say I would never go back unless someone paid me

We booked Nakhon Thai Eltham for a returning visit for Valentine's evening. This was obviously a very busy evening. The greeting was very warm and welcoming. The manager is very knowledgeable and helpful, with great advice. The food was full of flavour and we can't wait to go back. It's not cheap £130 incl. tip for 2 people. We sat near the front door and the atmosphere was ruined by delivery drivers standing on the inside of the door playing loudly on their phones, no staff asked them to turn their phones down, so don't be seated by the front door. Also be aware that children / families are seated at the wider part / back of the restaurant. There is plenty of staff, but they have a hierarchy system, it took 3 members of staff to clear a table for new dinners, while we sat with our empty dirty plates in front of us for far too long, we asked for the dessert menu in the hope our table would be cleared, but nothing happened so we asked for the bill. The food and service is normally so excellent, we will come back and have recommended to friends and family.

Good food. Friendly service. But we sat down at 7:45 and didn't leave until 10:20pm. We waited almost two hours for our mains. Other tables were sat with no food or drink for hours too. They seem to be understaffed front of house. Very slow in the kitchen (despite good, authentic food being made by the chefs). Maybe the focus is on Uber Eats / Deliveroo takeaways rather than sit-down customers? Seemed to be a constant stream of helmeted delivery drivers in the doorway taking food out. They need to re-organise the logistics to make this work. I would not return or recommend to anyone unless they sort this out. Such a shame as it's a restaurant in the heart of Eltham serving decent Thai food!

As a result of the poor service, which took two hours forty minutes, they waived the 12.5% service charge and took another 10% off the bill. I'm not sure why drinks were offered immediately, followed shortly by starters. Our party was followed by four white people, who were served their courses before us. Our party of six was there a while before them, so I was confused as to why this was happening. It happened again to two of us a week ago, with white people being served first.

Such lovely staff and wonderful food. Thoroughly recommend. Plenty of options to suit all tastes. They're happy to take the time and explain dishes and accommodate dietary requirements.

A very warm welcome on arrival. In SE9 it's a culinary desert, Nakhon Thai is such a wonderful surprise. The atmosphere is bubbly and the staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. The food is of a very high standard. We had an excellent evening, can't wait to return.

Surprised to see so few reviews for this place. We went for my dad's 70th birthday and the meal was delightful. Every dish we had was flavoursome and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The price was not too bad either considering there was 9 of us to cater. I've eaten at their Royal Docks and Canary Wharf branches. Although the restaurant is smaller than those two, the food was still as good and the decor was lovely. The jasmine tea is a must try, plus the lamb and herbs main.

First time visiting the Nakhon Thai (Eltham) last night with my wife and daughter following a recommendation from friends. Absolutely fantastic food, service and atmosphere. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A hidden gem and well worth visiting! We will definitely be returning soon.

A nice dinner out with family. We booked last minute for a Friday nihht was pleasantly surprised to have been seated. We had a lovely dinner with good selection of food. The pad thai was quite sweet and we aren't used to having it too sweet. Parking in this area is not great but decor and vibe in restaurant was great.

Amazing food. We have eaten here several times with friends local to Eltham . Service was good , on recent visit restaurant was full which is always a good indication of the food. Excellent service with lovely staff. Fully licensed now & beer seemed reasonably priced. Every dish we had was so tasty especially the Pad Thai & Panaeng Gai.

Food is excellent but you definitely pay for it. £4.50 for green tea, not even loose leaf. So £4 50 for a tea bag! Felt steep. Then we asked for a little bit more dipping sauce, charged £1.00 extra. No complimentary prawn crackers or anything like on arrival. Minor points, as food was excellent. The service I am sure many will see as excellent, it was overly attentive to the point we couldn’t even hold a conversation. If you’re not there to chat to each other then service is impeccable..interruptions galore..arms crossing infront of you, interruptions to top up water, then cutlery, then napkins, then top up wine, then plates..every time they would ensure our conversation was interrupted..all very polite, all very attentive but definitely not a location for a quiet catch up with friends. Definitely a place for great food though…

I dined at Nakhon Thai Eltham with a group of friends for my birthday. On the day there were various transport issues, which meant most of us were late, but the staff were very understanding and accommodating. The service was good and the food was delicious, with lots of choice. One of the only issues (not related to our experience at the restaurant) was that some of the group were directed to Nakhon Thai in the Docklands when they tried to find directions on their phone. I’d definitely recommend Nakhon Thai Eltham and look forward to returning.

Let me start by saying that we normally go to the Docklands Nakhon Thai restaurant which is excellent in every way. We highly recommend it. Anyway, I noticed there was a Nakhon Thai in Eltham which is local to us so we wanted to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE. We had no problem with the booking and was greeted politely as we went in. That is where it all went downhill. We ordered our drinks, all soft drinks, our daughter asked for an Apple Mojito. After drinking a quarter of it she says "there are ants in my drink". Sure enough she was right, we saw at least 6 dead ants floating around in between the mint leaves. We have no idea how many she had consumed already. I immediately called whe waiter over and told him what we found. The man in charge said he was sorry and asked us if would like a new one. We said yes and they brought a new one over to us. No mention of it being on the house or a discount of any kind. I was sure at least that drink would be taken off of the bill later. WRONG! We ordered the following: Chicken Satay - all good Calamari - chewey Tom Yum Goong soup - not good, nothing like the Docklands version Som Tum salad - nice Lamb Massamun - bland, fatty lamb Chicken Thai Green Curry - just bits floating in a watery juice, really bad Egg fried rice - ok Coconut rice - ok We couldn't wait to leave so asked for the bill. Sure enough, the Apple and Ant Mojito was on the bill, not a penny was taken off the bill what so ever No apology when leaving the restaurant either. It goes without saying we will never go back there. We will only use the Docklans Makhon Thai restaurant from now on.

Hubby brought me here for our wedding anniversary- we love Thai food but this is one of the best we have tasted since our holiday in Thailand. Flowers everywhere make for romantic setting. Staff super friendly without being intrusive. Food stunningly good, generous portions and all reasonably priced. BYOB is a bonus too. I can see us coming back on a regular basis and not just special occasions. We mentioned that it was our anniversary and they gifted us a gorgeous Thai coconut dessert at the end of the meal to celebrate. A huge thank you.

We live a few hundred yards from Ratchada. Looks like it's closed: fixtures removed, incoming post littering the floor etc. No signs of life at all. Bye bye.
