Purchased kebab rolls, they had to go. In the bin, the kebabs were undercooked tasteless, they had added old stale achaar onions and achaar into the rolls. Such a terrible taste compared to years before what a disappointment.

They used to have a restaurant in inner city East London, I used to go with my dad at least once a week. I eventually found them in Ilford. Cheap and cheerful, friendly and authentic, freshly made and absolute delicious. I Keep going back with new customers and they’re always impressed. Still run by the same family. My favourite place.

Horrendous food and this is not an exaggeration. The Pakoras looked like clumps of batter, using awful oil. Samosas could be used as boomerangs and tasteless. Even the mango Lassi was watery and I only wanted a glass but recieved 4 jugs! The customer service here is non existent and I really am contemplating whether to report this restaurant to the food hygiene standard agency. I am incredibly shocked that such places are allowed to exist. Staff sneezing into their armpits then serving food and telling me they have wafted sanitiser over the food! I am seriously shocked by this place it felt surreal. This food should be illegal.

Went naghinas maybe 5/6 years ago food was good. Went this week august 2021 food was horrible. Pakoras we’re unrecognisable as a pakora, bland and dry food. Shami kebab tasted stringy and had no flavour. Samosas we’re stale, old, oily and no taste whatsoever. This shop has gone down in quality badly. Do not recommend. Need to change their chef. Hugely overpriced.

We had to travel from Chelmsford to London at weekend. We planned to have a Halwa Puri breakfast on the way. Ilford was on our route and this place showed up in all searches, supposedly famous for their Halwa Puri weekend. We were on a train journey and took TFL rail to Ilford Station, the restaurant is about 6-7 minutes walk from the station and is located at Ilford Lane. For those arriving from London, depending on area of departure, there are many ways to approach; by buses from Gants Hill Station at Central Line or from Barking Station at District Line, or TFL rail from Liverpool to Ilford. We arrived early morning, it was a Saturday. Half the restaurant was occupied. When we entered, immediately the staff at counter was staring at us like we were aliens. No-one welcomed us so we just occupied an empty table. If this place was in our neighborhood, we would have left at this service attitude. Unfortunately, we had split our train journey to London for this, so we weren't going to give up easily. Finally a server came to our table which was very oily and not properly cleaned. He took our order, nothing bad here because in this level of restaurant,we were just expecting our food to be delivered in time and it did. We had ordered Halwa Puri, Channa (chickpeas) and Lassi drink. Everything was brought in plates which were worn out borderline clean, still we started our breakfast and it seemed everything was bathed in oil. Oily Puris, oily Halwa and chickpeas, I can understand that Pakistani food is oily and not everyone can do those perfectly balanced Puris but this was an insult to Punjabi food. Chickpeas were bathing in a tasteless oily curry. The lassi jug was greasy from outside, maybe from waiter's hands, even so the Lassi itself seemed that it was 1 week old yogurt put in a blender. Not a single item was passable.Another issue that kept hassling us was the staff who were mysteriously staring at my partner all the time and even the customers on 2 tables were gazing at us. I am not a paranoid person but all this gawking was so obvious, it made us very uncomfortable. This was maximum we could take. We left the oily bonanza half eaten and I went to cash counter myself to leave the sinister atmosphere (The pricing of food is very reasonable but who cares). Utterly disappointed, we were wondering all the way to station about the peculiar novelish experience we had. Not recommended for couples at all.

We went to Nagina as the place we normally go to was closed for refurb! We wanted Nihari and had heard good things about their nihari. As i walked in I found it to be disorganised and basic in terms of decor. Chairs was scattered everywhere. Nobody cared that I was struggling to get through with a pushchair even though a waiter was right beside me . I sat at a table that hadn't been cleared after waiting to be seated. I immediately noticed how dirty the radiator and wall behind our table was. DISGUSTING! The floor was disgusting. (See pic) the chairs have covers that were grey from previously being white! The waiter came and cleaned the table with a napkin and a dry disgusting curry stained dishcloth. I used my own antibacterial wipes. At this point if it hadn't been for my hungry child and the weather i'd have walked out. The food came out and the salad had clearly been reused as it had sauces from previous customers on it. The glasses we were given were filthy. I could not belive a place this dirty was so busy. See picThe food was delicious esp the nihari and they were kind enough to give us a portion that had been saved for a pick up. However I will not be going again as the hygiene in this place is atrocious and a danger! See attached images! Im surprised food standards and hygiene have allowed them to continue trade.

It might not look as shiny and glamorous from the outside, but what you will find inside is a more wholesome variety of food which seems like extra care and attention is taken. They have the best biriyani in ilford. But the occasional chefs specials here are amaizing. The Nihari, Haleem, and Paya to name a few which I have discovered here time to time are simply the best bang you can get for your buck. Hands down, one of the best pakistani food shops in Ilford. I have no doubt in that statement at all. I used to go to another branch they had in east london, Cannon Street rd which I think is closed down now, but really pleased to see I can still get there food here.. Another speacial item they have is Katlama, its deep fried pastry with a spicy mince filling and comes with onions and used to come with a red sauce which they sadly dont do anymore.. Please get this back!

This place is famous for its Lahori breakfast. It is worth visiting early on a Sunday morning as it reminds me of the street cafes of Pakistan where you have scores of staff rushing around preparing and cooking the breakfasts. Traditionally, you get served 2 puris (deep fried flatbread) with halwa (sweet semolina) and channa masala (a thick chick pea curry). This is not for feint-hearted! Its as heavy as hell and would probably keep you from needing to eat again until late that evening. The curries are ok, nothing too spectacular. But then, this is what Nagina is - a closer experience of being in a Pakistani street café and that is why I have given it 4 stars instead of 3 - Home from home!

On the weekends from morning till midday this place is packed with people trying to buy Halwa Poori (Deep-fried bread with Semolina, Sweet Semolina and Chickpea curry), Nihari (slow cooked lamb stew), Paiy (Lamb-shank) , Haleem (Stew with barley and lamb) and Lassi (Sweet Yoghurt). The dinner and lunch items are not much to write home about but their Breakfast menu which is served all day is excellent. Londoners are fortunate to have this cafe. The food was fantastic. This place is so busy for breakfast. The naan were really good, better than most local places. The halwa was not to sweet and really good. The Harlem was really good, I don't normally eat this outside as it never beats what's cooked at home. But this Haleem was really good, tasty, not to spicy and lovely.
