Nadines Diner in Ballymena

Well what can I say about Nadine' Diner..HORRIBLE OWNER!! We came in 3 of us and sat down..The girl brought down our menu's..There was a table of 4 who moved tables..So wee decided to go to where they where sitting.. We never ever got our order taking..Well what the people got for moving tables was terrible..I have never heard this before in ANY eatery..Told them that they weren't allowed to change tables (did you ever 😱) felt like we were back at school..My husband said what odds is it..Shouted her head off the poor man..The whole place fell silent..We got up and walked out..I hope the others did the same..She just lost over £50..NEVER WILL I EVER BE BACK IN Nadine's Diner again..P.S so all I can say is if you find yourself eating here..PLEASE PLEASE DON'T Swap tables.......BIG FAT 0...

Nadine's has an amazing menu choice..we have eaten here for breakfast, lunch and dinner on many occasions and have not been disappointed yet. Food is very tasty, portion size is good. Staff are friendly and happy to make adjustments to the meal. Would recommend Nadine's to eat in at any time of the day.

I went here with a family member. I got a sandwich and the family member got roulade. My sandwich was ok but the garnish with it the tomato was all dried up and horrible. The pavlova wasn't fresh tasting either. We weren't finished eating and a staff member came to our table asking us if we had finished getting ready to lift our plates. We said no we weren't finished. A short time she came back to our table and asked us if we were finished now. We didn't answer her. We just pushed our plates next her and she grabbed them in the process she spilt the pepper and vinegar. We definitely won't be back. The thing is that she didn't go to other tables to clear them.

Ordered some chips to go with a dish I had prepared. It was awful half the chips were hard wizened bits you could not eat. Out of a portion I had about a dozen I could eat !!!!

The 1 star food hygiene says it all, if you don't want to get ill then stay away from this place. Also it's very poor value tiny portions and to expensive, what a dump.

Best Diner in Ballymena, place is looking amazing and so modern. Food is brilliant and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Coming back to Nadine Diner after the closure due to COVID it has really improved, new decor, staff and much more. Owners have really outdone themselves, a lot of hard work was put in. Also Nadine’s is perfect for bringing the family too, brilliant kids menu and High chairs available. Well done Nadine and family.

Called in yesterday for lunch ordered a burger and chips, got all of about 12 chips! Child portions on a child's plate! I will not be returning as when I eat out I like to come home feeling full!

I saw the advertising on their Facebook page highlighting the new decor and menu so my friends and I thought that we'd give it a try and go for lunch. The dining area had been freshly painted and there were new tables and chairs etc but the good points stopped there. The food that we got served was poorly cooked, the portions were small and it was very expensive for the quality and quantity. My friends and I were very disappointed with our meals especially after all the reopening hype on their Facebook page. On returning home I decided to look Nadine's up on the internet and discovered that the local council only gave it a score of 1 out of 5 after a recent inspection. The council stated that their: Food Hygiene ............................... Poor Structure ........................................ Fair Confidence in Management ...... Little Sort of says it all I suppose, Never Again !

I'll not deny it, I love Nadines. Lovely staff great food, reasonably priced. Then came forced closure through Covid19, extended by an unfortunate fire resulting in a new hot plate. They've used the closure time well, deep clean, place redecorated, then deep cleaned again. It's now lovely and bright, food just as good and staff happy to be back doing what they do so well.

While on a drive me and my fiancée stopped here to get some lunch and we noticed on arrival how greasy the floor is in here, if a match were dropped everything would be engulfed. The staff are all nice to your face but you can hear them slagging you off when your back is turned. The food is overly greasy and unenjoyable. How does here even get to stay open?

Go to Nadines quite regular..lovely staff very quick and the best service.The food is absolutely gorgeous and never fails to satisfy

The food is first class and good value for money the staff very friendly they would do anything to make you feel at home. I eat there often and when friends come from abroad its the first place i take them and they all love it.

This place is vile. The smell is horrendous, grease and dirt hanging from the ceiling and tables. Staff talk about you behind your back making it clearly obvious when you turn around and they are all staring like vultures. They themselves could do with a good scrub. AVOID

Have been calling into Nadines for a few years now always a warm welcome from all the staff very friendly and nothing is a bother to them food is first class could not fault this place one bit never been disappointed.

Great home cooked food here and priced well cooked. Really friendly staff. Very busy at time. Do take away or sit in. Really massive menu without doubt 5 star food.

was in the area before Christmas and was meeting a fellow rep. we decided to try here as was easy parking. should have sat in a traffic jam. floors like an ice rink with grease. nice menu. shame about the portion size and quality. over priced for what it was. it is a café pretending it's something posh. even fast food rubbish would have been better or the petrol station around the corner

Gave here a try recently and I wish I didn't. The staff have no friendliness in the slightest while the chips were quite literally watery. When I complained to the staff they didn't care. Floors are extremely greasy so that makes it hard to walk on in here.

Best café in Ballymena food is inexpensive and top quality. Staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to meet your needs. good clean home cooked meals and plenty of it. have ate everywhere else in Ballymena and nowhere compares to nadines for quality of food and value for money. place is always spotless, very easy got to and an ample amount of free parking. honestly don't waste your time anywhere else in Ballymena for good home cooked food excellent service and value for money head to Nadines Diner

Anche se dall'esterno non attira particolarmente l'occhio, Nadine's Diner è sicuramente una piccola gemma d'altri tempi, gestito da solo donne, con la tipica atmosfera del diner americano (divanetti, menu, il caffe che viene continuamente riempito ) che si distingue dal Fish n' Chips che è quasi l'unica cosa che puoi trovare nei dintorni.

Normally go for the fry or the chicken chips and gravy. Everything seems to be cooked on a proper hot plate rather than deep fried and the service is always top class.

Nice friendly diner for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Had breakfast here this morning and could not fault it at all. Prices are reasonable also.

Nadines was in Ballymena long before the huge number of eateries that have now opened up all over the town. It still thrives and is still popular providing good wholesome meals at reasonable prices.

Hidden gem in Ballymena. Delicious meal. Lots of choice. I had sliced chicken Carlic chips peas gravy. Friendly staff . Decor abit outdated but clean and comfortable and cosy. Will be back.

Coming here has became very sickening as the food is not the best, the toilet is falling apart, the floors are never clean and the staff talk about you behind your back. No longer a friendly diner to visit.

Nadines never fails to please it's like going for lunch at your grans I have had breakfast lunch and early dinner always nice lovely service can't fault this little diner be going to it for years.

I've seen some of the worse reviews and can understand them because one of my visits over the last few months was bad but that was all down to one waitress who clearly couldn't care. The last three visits I had nothing to complain about. There is a very wide menu with something for everybody. Roast dinners, steaks and fry ups as well as many other alternatives. The food I got was hot, well cooked and served with a smile. (except that one time when I almost walked out). Price is a little more than some other places but not that much. If your service isn't up to what is normal, tell Nadine.

I nearly fell on the floor in here. The floor is quite greasy just like the food. The food here is full of oil and on massive plates with tiny portions and the staff charge different prices to what is on the menu, Will not return, save your money folks

The food I got from here (burger and chips) seemed to be handed to me as if it had been just removed from their fridge. The girl also got my order wrong when I asked for my burger undressed but she denied it. WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN. Dump.

food being overcooked is okay but here burns it and when you are able to eat it, it burns your mouth completely. Staff are cheeky, floors are full of grease. Wont be back.

Been here a few times recently I enjoy the food here and the service is grand. It can be a bit busy at times but that can be expected.

The staff are moderately friendly here. The food is so-so. The garlic fries don't taste of garlic. The plates are chipped and the cups make drinks taste like soap. I think this diner needs to improve in the food and also the floors were greasy.

Hadn't been in a while and went back last night it has been all redecorated and looks well very bright sfaff were freindly and attentive I ordered lasagne and garlic fries when it arrived I have to say it didn't look that good but it was absolutely delicious so my only complaint would b make it look better but will definitely return

Nadines has a charm unmatched by similar establishments in the town. Very clean, friendly, helpful and efficient staff and good wholesome food. Visited a number of times since my last review and have never been disappointed. Prices have firmed up a bit but still represent good value. And still worth stepping out of the town centre to visit.

Friendly, helpful staff, I was made feel welcome even with 4 young children, chippy food which hit the spot. Very impressed with the staff who came to my car with a dummy and £20 I had left at my seat. Honest, friendly, clean, can't ask for better!

Took my son for brunch before nursery one day. Heard good reports ao thought id give it a go. Wish i hadnt bothered now. The cooked breakfast was a rip off. Poor quality and not even cooked well enough. My sons meal was disgusting too - so much so he didnt even touch half of it. Staff where too intrested in talking to each other than taking my payment on leaving, whole place needs a freshen up too. You cant ask customers to pay that proce for food and to sit in a place that is no more than a greasy spoon.

I love this diner.I take my parents there each time they come over from scotland a visit to nadines is a must.I take my friends when they come over from london a visit to nadines is a must.The food is great and trust me theres loads of it the staff are always friendly always a busy wee place.The toilets have always been clean as well as the diner itself.I have nothing but praise for this wee place.Oh and a big bonus is the parking no problem there.

Wanted something simple so we decided to try this diner as the parking is handy (right outside the front door) Waitress took out order think she must have been having a bad day as she just sort of grunted where we ready to order. Food arrived quite quickly but wasnt great it was a greasy mess, to be honest I wouldnt rush back no matter how hungry I was.

This was a fantastic restaurant, relaxing atmoshere, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. An extensive menu with delicious food. The owner of the premises, Nadine took time to personnally ask diners if they enjoyed their meal or could get anything else. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

This is an excellent little diner! Fantastic value and prices reasonable, great atmosphere and friendly staff, good wholesome food cooked to perfection! I took my Dad to this diner when he was on holiday..he exceptionally enjoyed this diner that we went nearly everyday. This diner was that good it will be a remembering milestone for my Dads holiday! Lol...Thanks Nadines for your excellent service and for making my Dads holiday more enjoyable!!

staff try and guess orders, toilets are disgusting, greasy tables, takes ages for food to arrive, getting more expensive

They have a large menu with loads of home comforts that you dont get everywhere. Prices are competitive and you wont leave hungry as the portions are massive!

For a satisfying no frills wholesome British meal at a remarkably low price this is the place. Waitressses friendly, helpful and attentive. A range of home cooked and tasty meals. Very popular witfh locals and cheap enough even for pensioners to eat there daily. Expect to wait for a free table at lunch times. Fantastic Ulster fries, daily specials and after the lamb shanks or daily stew a nic snooze would be bliss.

I have eaten in this eatery every time I visit Ballymena. This is a family run diner with a friendly and light hearted atmosphere. The staff are all chatty and cheerful. The food menu is varied and very reasonably priced, good portions are the rule of the day and free top ups come with coffee and teas. I would seriously recommend Nadines Diner to any hungry travelers or visitors to Ballymena....... 10/10 excellent
