Honestly this place does the best breakfast by far, and ive been coming here since i moved to the area 8 years ago and not had a bad meal yet. I have tried other cafes in the area that may look better... but if you want a good tastie fry up with quality ingredients this place is hard to beat.

Amazing cafe style restaurant. Food was really quite excellent and fairly priced, bearing in mind it's still London-ish. We had the jacket potato with various toppings, and the portion sizes were more than plenty. Presentation of food was colourful, which showed attention to detail (which says a lot), and the environment was spotless. Can't recommend this place enough, particularly as it's on the doorstep of Alexander Palace.

Nice cafe on Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea. Decor plain and slightly dark but clean and VERY comfortable chairs. Food was fresh, cooked to order and very tasty. I had mushrooms on toast with a strawberry and banana smoothie. Loads of mushrooms, toast not drowning in butter, and so fresh. The smoothie was natural and delicious. Thought price was fair too, £10.40 (09/23). Waitress very pleasant and attentive. They have a 'gym' menu for those that want protein, low fat etc which seems a good idea. No muscle men in when I went, but you never know! Accessibility ok, slight step up, I did not see a toilet so cafe will have to comment on that. Chairs would need to be pushed out a little but good space for buggies, wheelchairs and mobility aids. Def recommend, they do several home made options and there was a nice, friendly atmosphere when I visited. Street parking variable but there is council car park in Ceylon Road and you can walk through a short alley to access Hamlet Court Road. Car park uses Mobon App.

Had a lovely Brunch with the family, staff were polite and food and drinks were excellent with speedy delivery!

Myself and some friends popped in for breakfast. There was a great selection to choose from on the menu. Seemed quite pricey but the ingredients seemed like good quality and the food we ordered was delicious. The service was quick and efficient and staff were friendly. I'd definitely eat here again.

Have eaten here many times and always left full and happy, unfortunately the last few times where not so enjoyable, sitting outside for 25 minutes before anyone comes out isn’t great especially when you see customers going in and getting drinks within a few mins, today was the final straw, 25 minutes wait, then me expressing my disappointment especially as I wanted to eat 😤😤😤, how long will I be waiting I enquired,, not long and off she went, drink arrived eventually by someone else who explained I should have gone inside next time to say that I’m outside, fair point I didn’t know I had to do that, never done it in the past,, then I was asked not to complain to there staff as I’ve left her upset,,👋👋👋👋👋👋👋

Visited yesterday for lunch with my sister.We ordered 2 teas and a couple of sandwiches.Our teas arrived and we expected our lunch to follow 5 / 10mins later. After about half hour passed and other people being served full meals we questioned where our sandwiches were, and were told that as the chicken was cooked fresh it was taking longer?? Anyway lunch was finally served and tasted delicious and i was really enjoying it untill I found a long black hair in my salad garnish !! II couldn't finish it put me off completely. We will not be going back!!!

Quite expensive for a full English breakfast, but place is ultra clean and airy fast friendly service and the breakfast was well cooked and tasty, full breakfast and a coffee about a tenner

We had not come across this place before despite many visits to Southend and were pleasantly surprised. Our food was delicious and the coffee excellent. Service was prompt and friendly.

Was ok, No tartare sauce for fishfinger sandwich which was disappointing. Bread was fresh and my party enjoyed the breakfast

Not actually my kitchen, it's a cafe with the name My Kitchen, very clever marketing.

Had breakfast here on Sunday midday it was delicious, highly reccomend they have all sorts from breakfasts to duck sandwiches! And they have gluten free options too! Really nice nice atmosphere and nice staff! 10/10

We thought we would try this place for our weekly coffee peer group meeting. The service was very friendly, the place was clean and cosy.we cannot comment on the food as we did not try it. However we did have a coffee each, an americano and a soy latte. In our opinion the coffees were lacking in flavour and my friends was extremely bitter. Apart from that a nice little cafe with attentive staff.

Went for breakfast here today for the first time, and I was totally blown away. Their food is absolutely fantastic! Service is incredible too! Another plus is that the menu is so adaptable for keto (as you can see in my pic). I mean, who even does avocado?! They also do a rump steak protein breakfast, and have vegetarian meal options. I was really impressed. The food quality is so good (no icky fillers or additives - 100% real food!) that I couldn't even finish my meal - and I really tried hard because it was so delicious. I definitely see myself becoming a regular customer!

Both my 7 year old daughter and I are coeliac. Took her here for breakfast. Explained so many times that we can’t have gluten, asked them to check ingredients, assured me they had. WE WERE SO ILL, In agony and being sick. My poor girl missed out on a day with friends. I guess this place is fine if you can eat anything. But if you have any type of allergy, food intolerance etc - don’t bother. The staff clearly didn’t know enough about it and I wouldn’t trust them again. Emailed them to ask them what had happened - told me sausages weren’t gluten free. Absolute joke.

I have been critical of My Kitchen in the past mainly down to the poor service . But credit where credit is due they have improved greatly by employing better staff. The waitress had a smile on her face and for the first time ever I heard the staff laughing. Without doubt the best breakfast I have had in a long time . Everything was cooked perfectly and I will now go back to being a regular.

We've been coming back here for 6 years, since when next door was also My Kitchen, when it had great music and a lovely date-ish atmosphere. We were originally amazed at the quality of the food, how it was all fresh, the portion sizes were more than generous, and how lovely the staff and service was. So naturally, for my birthday, we checked to see if they'd survived the pandemic and were ecstatic to know they'd reopened. We sat outside for some peace and quiet, the food was, yet again, delicious, and clearly made with a lot of love. We ordered an obligatory portion of their famous fresh herby potatoes. I would have loved if I could have paid extra for bacon in my chicken and brie sandwich, I hope they consider adding that soon. The young lady serving us seemed lovely, but was perhaps really busy, because we didn't get checked on, or had our plates cleared, or got given the bill. We did notice the waitresses going to and fro' next door (old My Kitchen restaurant, now Fratellis) with food and the card reader. So it looks like they work both businesses. I unfortunatelly have to agree with a previous review, they seemed to pay more attention to their friends than their customers. It's a real shame as we would have loved to speak to someone about the menu, who's running My Kitchen now and if anything had changed. No suitable disabled toilet accomodations, or ramped access. Toilets were clean.

I've been here so many times with my sisters and since lockdown I haven't been, so I couldn't wait to go back! Came for a breakfast/lunch and I was very disappointed with the service.... quite shocked as I am a waitress myself and have a few family businesses which I've worked in. The food was lovely! And I wanted to order more! That's how nice it was! When served the food, we finished and our table wasn't cleared and bare in mind it was only us in the cafe (table of 2 people) I waited for the waitress to come over so I could order more food and more drinks? She never came. When looking for her she was sitting down on a table doing nothing. More customers came in and they looked like they knew each other. Once they came in the waitresses actually sat with them and ate and drank with them, bare in mind we are still waiting for our table to be cleared. We had enough and just wanted to go... we had to get up and approach the waitress to ask for the bill.. once receiving the bill we had to get up again to ask for the card machine as they were too busy with the other customers/friends. To be honest I've never had such a bad service. So disappointed as I've been here before many many many times! Unfortunately i won't be going again.. 🥺 hopefully they can improve on this.

Nice place to go for meal, friendly staff and cosy place to have a meal. Food feels and taste much healthier than standard fry up, but it will cost you slightly more than average options of healthier meals available too. Definitely worth a visit and then your decision if you come back again. I am sure we will😊

I am a regular and the portion sizes are huge! They do seem to have a high staff turnover and no smiling faces. The product more than makes up for it , best fry up , great sandwiches .

It was a very pleasant experience and the staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful. The food was cooked to extremely high standard and of high quality. We are planning on eating there again.

We went as group for breakfast & it was so good we’ve been back several times since. Slightly dearer than some places but well worth the extra. FANTASTIC breakfast.

Been going to this cafe/restaurant for some years now It has saved us when renovating a house but it must be said the English breakfast is unbelievable Service excellent and quality of food very good. Well worth a visit

I visited with a couple of friends, I had the eggs Benedict with ham, my friend had eggs Benedict with bacon and my other friend had the my kitchen cooked breakfast. Absolutely delicious couldn’t fault any of the food and will definitely visit again. Love the personalised mugs, and the rustic plates. They made the perfect cup of tea. All the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. The decor was modern and clean. It was approx £10 per head but most definitely worth it. I would recommend and be back again soon.

Ordered a hummus and roasted veg wrap today. Firstly, no hummus! So I said ok I will have it just with roasted veg. The wrap came with sliced peppers, four small slices of courgette and loads of onions. Wouldn’t say any of it was roasted. Had to take the onions out as far too many and not roasted more what I would have expected on a hot dog. Really disappointing as when I’ve visited My Kitchen before food has been good and plentiful. It doesn’t make me want to return.

Cappuccino was good, breakfast also pretty tasty and great value for money. It's nice and warm in the cafe too. Very clean and friendly staff. A good place to go for breakfast or lunch in Westcliff! I loved the chocolate 'MK' initials on the coffee that was a nice touch too.

Very well presented cafe/resturant. Staff are friendly, foods served very quick. Plenty of tables for customers. Did see that they are extending the buisness which I'm looking forward to seeing. If it wasn't for the lack of supplies then I'd have given an extra star

I went there for lunch with my daughter today and we really enjoyed their wraps they were warmed up and it made such a difference , willndwfinately be back.

So I came in today to have a small lunch and a tea, I ended up ordering the Chicken, Brie and Spinach sandwich on crusty granary bread. Well damn that was tasty never thought Spinach would be a great addition to a toasty. The atmosphere in here is great with lots of light rock and smooth music playing. Very nice set up with comfortable chairs indoors and inviting seats outside. I have seen from passing by before that they also accommodate dogs with a bowl of water and also prepared a sausage for a small dog I saw. All in all a excellent little cafe, My Kitchen is great for lunch and from what I saw when I arrived amazing looking breakfast too.

I was sad to see the evening venue of My Kitchen had closed down. So we went into the other restaurant part for lunch. Having been a customer for a few years it was a shame today that it seems to have gone downhill. I ordered the Halloumi skewers which came with two sides for a whopping £14.95, this seems reasonable for the steak or prawn option, but not for the Halloumi. My companions ordered an omelette and scrambled eggs - the toast for the scrambled eggs had margarine on, not even butter, everything just lacked the extra care and attention. It just wasn’t up to its usual standards. The bathroom was dirty and in need of TLC, the service was slow and lacked experience, the furniture looked tired and the whole place just needed some care and attention. Disappointing as used to be so good but seems to have fallen down in many standards.

I came here with my partner for dinner while we were living in Westcliff. The place was totally empty so at first we were totally skeptical. We got seated, got our drinks, then spent about 20 minutes trying to decide which delicious sounding item we wanted to order. I'm a HUGE white cheese fan, so I was stuck between the chargrilled chicken salad with feta or with halloumi. The server made my choice a lot easier by offering us a portion of halloumi on the house as first guests. But that's not the best part. I was expenting to still be hungry after a salad, boy was I wrong! The portion is, in my opinon, more than what you pay for. For £12, you get an entire chicken breast, perfectly seasonsed and cooked, a LOT of bacon, a LOT of cheese, a LOT of mixed salad, and a huge amount of herby potatoes (if that's what you want), which I have to add, ARE AMAZING. I REALLY tried, but I couldn't finish. By the end of dinner, our initial opinions had been completely transformed. the server was so nice and calm, the atmosphere so chill, the well stocked bar, the amazing food, and the fact that at one point our song came on the speaker. It was one of the best unplanned dates we'd ever had, and we have been coming to My Kitchen ever since, even now after we've moved away.

Food with clean nutrition is hard to come by but thankfully this local spot has nailed it. The food is clean, the nutrient values are clearly displayed and the food tastes wonderful!
