My Golden Wok in Leeds

I would give 5 stars as food and delivery are great, but they didn't even send the right sauce and it's the 3rd time they've got my order wrong. it's not difficult to send the correct meal.

food was really nice with good portions and even the 8 year old son loved it who's fussy but considering it was over £30, I thought we'd at least get free prawn crackers to share but no. anyway still good food and would still order again but the Singapore noodles were really spicy if you like spice but they seemed to be chopped up for some reason and I've not seen that before.

I am still waiting on my takeaway that I ordered nearly two hours ago. Paid in excess of £15 and my delivery has not arrived. Restaurant not answering their telephone and their website states they are closed. Completely unacceptable and I want an urgent update and response.

Absolutely VILE customer service!! Value for money is horrendous. If i were able to give zero stars I would! I can’t believe I’ve just spent £40 on this🤮🤮

Never delivered. Waited an hour for the expected delivery time. Food never came, never got a call. Order changed to “enjoy your food” when the food hasn’t been delivered. Never gave anyone the code. Tried to call the restaurant and it was closed. Why accept orders if you aren’t going to deliver them!

sweer & sour sauce was too salty

First the food was absolutely spot on beautiful . Hot tasty will order again. One small prob delivery driver was out side a house 5 doors away when he said he was outside . Then he only walked up to the gate making me walk to get it poor it's a delivery service not a collection . Next time come to the door that's what I paid for .

They gave my phone to someone who was randomly sat on my doorstep and did not ask for the code that they are supposed to ask when delivering food called numerous times asking where the driver is looking out side of my window the whole time yet no body arrived until they told me it was given to some random man!! rubbish

Only been in person but staff are always friendly, good menu and food is always tasty and fresh. A solid go to in Headingley at night.

Food didn’t arrive and the restaurant wouldn’t answer the phone

As a mute person the server was very helpfull and quick to understand i couldnt talk, also very understanding and patient as i was typing out the order on my phone, great food willbr coming back

Ordered a collection and bought it home to find out I was given the wrong order, I called and asked for them to send what I wanted and they asked for my address - waited for over an hour for nothing to arrive. Called back for the guy to be rude and tell me they don't deliver ?? And to contact YOYO - A WEBSITE FOR TAKEAWAYS to sell their food - so there was obviously no help there - the rest of the food was average. Never received a refund Don't order

This is the best Chinese takeaway in Leeds hands down but be very careful when ordering special fried rice as it will come with sauce and vegetables on top, whilst that's not such a bad thing you will always have to specify DRY if you want what I class as normal.

Ordered Beef curry and selected to add chips for an extra pound. Food arrived with no chips and was still charged for them. Tried calling multiple times and got sent to answer machine with a notice saying the number is ‘temporarily unavailable’ Absolutely appalling service if you ask me. Understandable that sometimes items are missed but being unable to contact any staff to get them sent out or a refund is ridiculous.

Curry was very good but the egg fried rice had very little egg in it and the rice tasted under cooked as was hard and made a very disappointing meal, the str fried mushrooms where good surprisingly good if not for the rice I would have given it 5 star big shame

This place is the Chinese takeaway I always use and I've never once had a bad experience with it. The food tonight was great and it got delivered really quickly.

My food never came , even tho I ordered well before closing time , I tried calling the restraunt and they never answered or messaged me , wouldn’t recommend ordering from here, not surprised this restraunt doesn’t have bad food reviews it’s because they customers never receive it , absolutely disgusted, need better standards when it comes to actually giving people there food

Delivery driver rang and refused to deliver my order as the traffic outside was too bad. Said he cancelled my order but didn’t. Rang the restaurant who weren’t helpful at all and promised to send out another delivery. Food didn’t arrive after 2 hours of waiting. Incredibly disappointed and no refund.

Recently ordered from here, they cancelled the order and i never received a refund, haven’t been able to get a hold of them since.

Lovely food, on time and still warm

heed the poor reviews, I didn't and honestly I regret not doing so. ordered special satay and it was made with some powder sauce as I've never had satay like it and I've eaten hundreds, I couldn't eat it then the salt and pepper chicken and chips were soaking, brown and the chicken was hard, then the doughnuts are literally basic donut that taste of oil with a bit of Nutella sauce and a stick of kinder Bueno smashed and spooned wherever. one of the worst takeaways I've bought, don't bother 1 ⭐️

Food was okay the chicken in black bean sauce is too sweet but the milkshakes way too watery and taste just of milk and little portions of the jam rolly polly and the “white chocolate” brownie which wasn’t white chocolate. In my opinion the restaurant needs to just focus more on the food. I deserve my money back for the desserts!

We ordered Lamb BBQ ribs, sweet and sour chicken pieces and duck in plum. We usually go to a different Chinese takeaway but it was closed due boxing day so we came here. Pros: - The food was hot - The portions were decently good - The food came in 45 minutes Cons: - Ribs were bone and fat. Very chewy. - The BBQ sauce the ribs were in had no taste - Duck wasn't as crispy as other takeaways do it however still well cooked. - Chicken balls were dry Overall food was 5/10 Order at your own risk

Don't order from here as they have no active phone line if you need to ring them for anything . Delivery was also nearly an hour late food was cold and one of the meals were wrong!! For the amount it costs it's a joke ordered through deliveroo too who weren't much help either!! So don't waste your time find somewhere better!!

Food here is always good, but always better if you pick up rather than getting it delivered. Also a bit annoying that you can't contact them as when you phone u just get an automatic text sending you to an online menu.

Ordered on just eat. Put on the notes to fetch in the pub because I’m wheel chair bound. When the driver arrived he refused to fetch the order inside. Couldn’t contact the restaurant because they don’t allow you to contact them via phone and still no refund.

I placed an order through Uber Eats, and despite it being marked as delivered *three hours* post-ordering, I have yet to receive my order. This is unacceptable.

This is the place to go if you go to a Chinese restaurant and eat salt and pepper chips / salt and pepper chicken. The actual Chinese dishes which I have tried like the special oyster sauce, the duck in black bean sauce and the special chow mein are completely lacking in flavour. Which is really disappointing for a so called Chinese restaurant. Great customer service the people are really nice but seriously disappointing food.

The wok was out of sight in the kitchen, so I cannot verify if it was golden. The salt and pepper chips were spicy, well cooked and with plenty of onion, a few more bits of pepper and bean sprouts would take it up a level.

I was surprised to see such a low rating here. The food is great! Main dish, appetisers, omelet with shrimps is very nice, dessert is good. Keep it up, guys!

I am so done with this place. Constantly getting orders wrong, and just being a general fiasco. Ordered some food tonight and waited nearly two hours for it not to arrive. I tried to call lots of times but the line was constantly engaged. I ended up having to drive to the shop to be shouted at by the 1diot that works there. So here I am over two hours later with no meal and no refund. Apparently I will be refunded at some point by the company that took my money. So frustrating.

Fastest service ever 5 mins and we got our food

this place has the best value for money in leeds. i regularly get the salt and pepper chicken + chips combo for around £8 and it comes in a humongous box. the chicken is always super crispy an the seasoning they use is divine. genuinely my favourite meal to get on a friday night, and always comes pretty quick on delivery.

I am not reviewer, but this time it is worth it. Stopped by for the first time, even if I work next door, was agreed with really clean and tidy atmosphere which followed with even more perfect Chinese food. Me and my partner were amazed. One of the best tastes if not the best.. Will definitely be back, thank you chefs! 🙏 and good luck 🫂🤗

The worst Chinese I’ve ever had in my life, cold tasteless, just awful, a lot of the 5 star reviews are bot accounts, would really avoid this place! Just horrible!

Currently in pain in bed due to food poisoning from this place

I was a bit skeptical at first after reading the reviews but I was hungry and it was passed midnight so the options were limited. Once I got the salt & pepper ribs, I was satisfied. They were some of the best ribs I’ve had tbh. Tender in some areas, crispy on the edges with fatty meat around the bone and flavoursome onions that had been softened by the juices in the bottom of the box that gave off the authentic oriental taste I was after that night.

I ordered from this place I waited they took my money accepted my order and it never came ! Worst company going be very careful!

Food definitely plastic, the sauce tasted like a chemical juice. They forget your request as tissue or cutlery (fundamental to eat right)

Ordered via Uber Eats on 24.08.2021, I ordered sweet and sour prawns with chow mein. Sweet and sour sauce had absolutely zero vegetables inside, just plain liquid, Chow mein looked like made of scrap- the noodles were sticked together, and on the top small broken pieces, looked like reheated leftovers, Worst order in my life, absolutely disgraceful Never order from here

The salt and pepper veggie chicken and chips is AMAZING!! Highly recommended for vegetarians! Also the Thai green veggie curry is soooo yummy!

I would not recommend this place. The chicken satay was dry and the sauces were not fresh. There was no option to ask about dietary requirements. And the chicken curry tasted like a gravy powder was used. I called to change my order and they had already delivered in five minutes of ordering, very bad decision to order from here

Had BBQ style beef with rice, sweet and sour king prawns and chicken. Everything tasted amazing, portions are decent size and had no issues with delivery! 👍 Definitely would recommend and will be ordering again!

A horrible restaurant! The managers are very rude, and spoke disrespectfully to staff members in front of me!!! This place is so dirty, it needs shutting down.
