Murtha's Fish Shop in Sunderland

Been here tonight for fish and chips and it was delicious it was cooked to order so lovely and fresh I asked for batter which I got the fish was so white the staff were lovely and friendly will definitely be back

My wife was very ill in Sunderland Royal. She didn't like the food and wanted a taste of fish and chips. I got a fish bite and cone of chips staff very helpful and obliging - they packed them in a box to keep hot. I ended up eating them. Very good. I'll go back for a full size portion when my situation improves

I've lived in Sunderland for 36 years now and I've tried most of the takeaways. This is the best. Great quality and really well cooked fish and chips.
