Mumbai Village in Leeds

I ordered a takeaway via MorleyEats. My order was missing an item missing. So I called the restaurant to tell them that my item was missing. To be told “that they could send it if I wanted it”. Of course I wanted it otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered it. Now, the restaurant may have thought its only £1 worth of food but it isn’t, it is actually £3.50 worth of food as I wouldn’t have ordered the accompaniment. It isn’t about the £3.50 it’s about the principal. How many other customers has this happened to. How many don’t complain because it’s only a small amount of money. Let’s for arguments sake say it happens to every 10th customer. Over a year, 2 years etc this all adds up The food: the starter shami and seekh kebabs starters were very cold, dry and like leather. The main course jingha tikka masala was actually quite nice. A shame it was let down by poor customer service. My main concern is the restaurants attitude; to think it’s okay not to fulfil an order even when the customer has informed them of the mistake, no matter how much the customer paid for the item… they have still for it and should expect to receive it. I will not be ordering anything from them again.

This has become the nasty over the years, I remember when they used to be real Indian service, not a bunch of chavs, talking crap no respect, also sat upstairs hear a group of gypsy run into the restaurant demanding money as the owner was in det, sounded like over drugs, worst place to ever eat. Had a take away never had such a bad one it was cold Seekh kebab awful did not resemble lamb in any way plus to hot with chillies balti like a Madras Kashmir no pineapple just onion green pepper and lentil no taste at all. I am afraid to say all went in the bin. Would not recommend and won't go their again

Tuve algunos buenos muchachos de visita para una noche de alegría y ruidos tontos y qué mejor manera de rematar eso que una deliciosa comida india. Bueno, eso es lo que pensaba hasta que llegó la 'comida'. Digo "comida" porque lo que realmente apareció fue aceite puro. Me gustaría pensar que, en algún momento de la etapa de cocción, uno de los chefs le preguntó al otro: "¿Crees que deberíamos poner un poco de pollo con ese aceite?" Pero no hubo tal prueba. Vieron nuestros contenedores de plástico completamente llenos hasta el borde y pensaron para sí mismos: "¿Sabes qué? Necesita más aceite que". El indio más grasoso, viscoso y húmedo que he tenido. Deberíamos habernos avisado cuando incluso el recibo estaba tan cubierto de aceite que no podía leerlo, pero creo que este debe ser el barómetro del éxito que usa Mumbai Village: si puede leer el recibo, no hay suficiente aceite. Sin embargo, mi evacuación intestinal matutina se me cayó, por lo que obtuvieron 2 estrellas por eso.

Siempre use este lugar ya que vivo local. Buena comida y servicio decente, nunca he tenido una mala comida de este lugar. Keema y pollo masala es genial

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! Will never order again as 3/4 hours later, and after numerous phone attempts I give up trying to order a simple curry! They’ve said they’ll call back and haven’t and not cared that I haven’t received my food. I was told it was on its way and everything but clearly telling me what’s easiest. Absolutely disgusting service!

Ordered from here via Deliveroo. Takeaway had leaked its orange oil all in the bag and over other containers. Pilau rice - opened it and hit with rancid smell Mixed Kebab - looked like dog food. Hair running through the sheesh kebab. Mumbai Handi - dry Lamb boti tikka starter - like old boot leather Palak Aloo - no flavour All went in the bin - complete waste of money..... Phoned the restaurant to complain and just got shouted at and accused of lying about the hair and the quality of the food. Avoid this like the plague....rubbish food and even worse customer service (and a 2 Hygiene rating!!)

Waited two hours for the delivery to arrive. It was cold and horrible. Driver forgot our wine. Avoid this place. Absolutely dreadful. #@ubereats

We ordered at 6:30, food was delivered at 7:30. We reported two dishes as incorrect less than five minutes after delivery when we were told replacements on their way. TWO HOURS LATER still no food! We called several times to be told it’s on its way or we’re just waiting for the driver to come back they he’ll be coming to you. Absolutely appalling service. Do not recommend.

Friends decided too long since we had visited here. So with social distancing in mind we decided to opt for the early bird special and sit in Morley Park. As usual the food was up to to it's excellent standard and thoroughly enjoyed by all. We look forward to either visiting the restaurant next month for a meal inside or in the park again. Keep up the good work

This place is an absolute joke. Constantly having domestics outside in the early hours of the morning. Screaming, shouting, calling people racist. Cars revving their engines and music on full blast. All the windows have been smashed, the police have been there numerous times. Get a grip owners, it's a residential area and you need to respect who is living around you. And on top of that the last time I ordered the food was bland and watery. I'd give zero stars if I could.

With lock down affecting all of us, I wanted to order a take away as a treat. I cannot reccomend these more. Ordered through Deliveroo, menu was extensive (standard dishes youd expect from any indian takeaway and lots of more exotic ones!) And they delivered perfectly on time, all in a social distancing friendly way (food put on step, knocked and moved back around 5m for me to answer door). The food itself was amazing, would reccomend the palak paneer and the bhaji!

Very slow service. They got the order wrong Food served on cold plates. It was mediocre at best. My husband reported the gents toilets as disgustingly filthy. He checked again in leaving and nothing had been done! If they cannot keep the toilets clean how clean is their kitchen? My husband was seriously ill after eating here. It has a food hygiene rating of 2 Need I say more?

Waiter got my order wrong and blamed me, not good. Ordered take away on 4 occasions and they got it wrong every time, once they gave us someone else's order and had to wait an age to get ours. Really bad service and they don't seem to care. There are far, far better Indian restaurants on same street so why bother with this. It used to be one of the best in Morley but I think they are new owners. Hopefully they wont be around for long.

This place has gone from bad to worse!!! They can’t get your order right and will argue with you that it’s not them it’s you so they wont replace it with what you actually ordered !!! The food is not nice any more, everything tastes the same so it’s hard to know if you got what you ordered !! The staff are unfriendly. The toilets are disgusting & filthy & usually flooded.We have eaten here for years (the restaurant name changes quite often) but never again. Don’t say you weren’t warned !!!!

Gorgeous food and friendly staff. Great service and selection of food. Well priced drinks too. The garlic naan is to die for as are the mushroom pakora and sizzling chicken skillet. Super yummy and as good as ever.

Great customer service, food piping hot and will tailor to your requests. Anyone who liked this as Saffron will not be disappointed as the chef is the same. Portion size is good and any leftovers they will gladly bag up for you to take home....
