Went as a party of 16 & they still gave a wonderful individual service. The food was very tasty & no one had any complaints at all. They brought it out all together & piping hot. I don’t often write reviews unless it’s really bad or exceptionally good.

The best Indian and it's within walking distance of home. I love the food (the selection, the portions, the divine taste, everything!) And more so, I love the service. We usually take our young child and she is so welcomed and included in our dining experience which means the world to us We tell everyone about Mumbai and have lived in brigg for 4 years, never visited any where else because we've never encounter any issues here. Thank you

Lovely meal, clean and the staff are great. Plenty of space if you have a pram, and they are very accommodating. Staff are brilliant with little ones, which makes eating out feel so much easier. Thank you for another lovely meal.

Superb food, superb service. Surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening. Trusted the waiting staff to recommend dishes and nothing disappointed us. Also, as they do takeaway food it was possible to take home all the extra food we ordered due to it all looking so damn nice lol.

Arrived greeted and seated very friendly and nice people ordered wine and pompadoms. Excellent, ordered the main selection, It arrived , onion bhaji 4 pieces the size of a two pence, dhal was like dish water, Tandori chicken was burnt black like charcoal in places coved on fried onions and oil. Nan bread half cooked half not. Saag aloo green sludge. the meal was inedible. This was our second visit , first time was very average but gave benefit of doubt and visited a second time . and the last. The marks are for the service

This is a fantastic restaurant, great authentic curry which is best for mikes around. 5 stars!!!! Would recommend anyone to try it, you won’t be disappointed..

Lovely food and staff for a company farewell do. Provided with a private room upstairs, together with a private place to wait for all in the group to turn up. £35 each for 14 of us including a banquet meal, some alcoholic drinks and poppadom starters. Free parking outside in the town car park in the evening.

Came for a meal on Boxing Day with the family. We love visiting here and we travel from Grimsby. Although one let down is that the cheesy naans are a bit stingy regarding the cheese. Great place

Went for Friday night meal with hubby and we both really loved the food, the service, the atmosphere and the lovely room we dined in. The tables are not right on top of each other so you have plenty of space and I felt we were in our own little private dining area! Staff were very pleasant and the food was delicious! We will return! The prices were also very reasonable.

Food was ok, nothing special, seems like most of the staff didnt really want to be there, customers seemed to be a bit of an inconvenience.

Visited Mumbai Lounge at the weekend as I was staying in Brigg with a group of friends for birthday celebrations. I can honestly say it’s one of the best curries I’ve had in a long time, it was delicious. The service was also amazing, it was my friends 30th birthday and they really went above and beyond with a birthday banner and free desert!

visited here freinds, everything was absolutely gorgeous from food to deco. We felt as though we were sampling food as if were in india, can't fault anything and highly recommended. The price was very reasonable.

We were an unbooked party of 8 looking for a meal mid-week in September. We were quickly seated and welcomed. Ordering and service of the meal was unremarkable. The food was of average quailty, although some in our party found the curries to be much sweeter than expected. When it came to paying the bill, it was a challenge to find someone to present it to us. An average meal.

A party of 15 of us attended Friday evening the owner was rude. They gave one of the party the wrong meal so they took it away and a ten minute wait ensued and we didn't all eat together then they tried charging us for the wrong meal! At the point of leaving the owner claimed he wanted an extra £29 for drinks (this is the second time in two visits this has happened) Scammers do not go!

We ordered takeaway online via their website. The food was all very well cooked and ready on time. The chicken was moist chicken breast rather than the gooey chicken thigh used by some takeaways. Nicely spiced and not overly oily or wet. Just a shame they don't do any other vegetarian options other than vegetable curries for their main curries.

Since I moved to the Brigg area about 6 years ago, Mumbai Lounge has been a staple in my takeaway choices, and truly never disappoints. Whether going in to eat in the restaurant or just ordering to take home, both options are always met with the same service and quality I've come to expect from here. They always give a really warm welcome to their customers and make you feel at ease, always has such a great buzzing atmosphere. This review was inspired by the sheer perfection of last night's lamb rogan josh - probably one of the best things I've ever eaten point blank. Mumbai Lounge really deserves all the credit it gets and huge respect to the owners for such a brilliant, consistent business.

Arrived 7pm our order wasn’t taken until 7.40 the waiters are rude. The food wasn’t special Luke warm…my dish at £12.50 three pieces of small chicken a piece of tough lamb and some mince kebab. The mushroom rice was nice every dish looked the same...

Excellent resteraunt. Been there many times with immediate family (wife and kids), extended family and friends and never dissappointed. Tried numerous different wishes and all absolutely delicious while excellent value. Can't recommend highly enough. Place is very clean and staff extremely polite and courteous.

Recently moved here, we have now had three takeaways from here. Veggie Masala, egg fried rice (very different and almost a meal in itself), king prawn curry and the pickle trays. All the good was absolutely delicious. The staff have always been very friendly too....

Excellent poppadoms and chutneys followed by chicken dhansak and vegetable Madras with light, fluffy pilau rice and perfectly cooked garlic naan. The only annoyance was the family in the corner who insisted on loudly critiquing the excellent cuisine and sending dishes back.

Had a 45 minute drive to this restaurant as did my friend. We live 2 hours from each other so 'met in the middle' (ish..) Neither of us had bern here before and so were a little apprehensive re the quality of food as safety measures as a result of Covid. We needn't have been as the food was lovely and there was a focus on customer/staff safety. The menu is quite extensive with dishes we'd not heard of before. The only small niggle was that i felt the food should have been served a little hotter (in temperature) however, this did not detract from us enjoying a lovely meal and the chance to meet up.

We were in the local area for a weeks trip. Arrived to this warm welcoming restaurant & advised them on the phone that it was hubby's birthday so I asked if a candle could be placed in dessert. I was told not to worry & they would arrange. We were seated when we realised they had put a birthday banner on the table. Small but lovely gesture which made us smile. Waiters all attentive & polite. Nothing seems too much trouble. We were happy with the food, tasted beautiful & decent portions. The waiter ended our meal by bringing out a whole chocolate cake with a fountain candle & all waiters came to sing happy birthday to hubby. Was a lovely evening. When the bill was bought over, they explained all costings. Such a friendly place & I would definitely recommend a visit. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening

I visited this place in March as I had an hour gap between appointments. It was teatime and I was on my own. However, the staff were very welcoming and accommodated me well. The curry was yummy and all through lockdown I looked forward to visiting again. I have since been twice with friends and it did not disappoint. There are new choices on the menu and the new indian prawn starter is divine. When it was my birthday the restaurant brought me out a cake. My favourite curries are jalfrezi, Balti and Zafrani. Love the saag rice and lovely garlic naan. Cannot wait to visit again. Plus the tables are socially distanced, the staff wear masks and everyone has their temperature taken on the way in so you can dine with confidence I give the restaurant 5 out of 5 and a gold star for food and covid security.

An Indian with a touch of class in its decor and thoughtful post-lockdown arrangements for Covid19. There's a good range of dishes on the menu and we would recommend the Prawn Biryani particularly.

We booked this restaurant as a treat for my sister's birthday - I have to say the restaurant is huge and very well furnished and tables laid beautifully. Sadly the service was slow - the members of our party who had ordered their specific menus were disappointed and felt it could be much better - the chef seems to add a lot of onions in the dishes so one is just tasting onions. Our first and last visit to Mumbai Lounge. Sorry.

First time we have visited. Friend had not been able to get through to book a table but we took a chance and turned up anyway. At first a member of staff was unsure that there would be a table for us, but fortunately for us another member of staff we intervened and suggested upstairs, he pointed out that there were several larger tables due in over the course of the night and asked us if that was ok. This was not a problem for us and so we were then seated immediately. It was busy but not uncomfortably. Good atmosphere of people enjoying their meals as did we. I ordered the award winning dish but can’t remember the name of it and would probably spell it wrong anyway. It was tasty along with the onion bhajes and Bombay potatoes. Everyone else spoke positively of their meals. Staff friendly.

We come here every saturday evening for a takeaway, good food, fair prices and pleasant staff. Would recommend

6 of us booked here for New Year's Eve, we had an excellent night, great ambience, qualtiy service. A couple of small glitches, but hey it was New Year's Eve and busy so in fairness you would expect them to be under a bit of pressure, so service was slower than normal. They had plenty of staff on hand, very polite and attentive. Good choice on the menu and reasonably priced, something for everyone's budget. Wine and beer choices were also not bad. The starters we had were very good all but one, the fish pakora batter was very thick so you couldn't taste the fish, I wouldn't order it again, I wish I had had the chicken chat or mushroom chat both of which were superb, best we have had. Mains were also very good, arrived hot, good sized portions and each one was very tasty and different. My lamb rogan josh could have been spicier, I had asked for medium hot but there was no 'hot' to it at all. Had it been on a quieter evening I would have sent it back and asked for it to be spiced up but the kitchen was so busy and I didn't like to, so I ate it, it was still tasty with plenty of meat. Next time i'll order 'hot'! I would like to thank all the staff for a great evening and Happy New Year to you all, you did a great job. See you in 2020!

So it being number one in Brigg I thought I'd get my family to order out, see what all the buzz is about. Unfortunately it didn't wow us at all. Very mediocre and borderline bland the curry. Ordered two different curry dishes but both tasted the same. Won't be going again... Underwhelming.

This restaurant is beautiful inside., nicely spaced out tables so your not on top of each other. The staff was all very friendly and pleasant.

7 of us came here to celebrate a birthday. We were staying at the nearby Brigg Marina. What a great place to eat! One of our party had an allergy to onion and the staff were very accommodating and offered to make alternative dishes. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly and polite. Well worth a visit!

I visited the restaurant whilst on business in the area. From the outside,it looked like any ordinary Indian restaurant, but once you enter you appreciate the lovely decor. Beautiful but subtle. It had quite a few corner sofa seats with tables,which I thought was unusual,but very comfortable. If has a beautiful centre piece on the roof of the restaurant. Very relaxing surroundings. Just what I needed after a busy day.The waiters were very attentive. I ordered my food which was made to perfection. The lady waitress asked me on at least 3 occasions if everything was ok. I have to say I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant, and would recommend it to everyone, especially if you fancy good food with a beautiful,relaxing atmosphere. I shall definitely visit again.

We booked a table for 7.30 .... i rang well ahead of our booking to say we would be a few minutes late. No problem I was told......we were a party of 9 and had all arrived by 7.35. We were left ages before a drinks order was taken....and when we eventually got our starters it was 9.15.... there had been 5 tables arrived after us (which we later found out had not booked) and they had all been served and three had already left before we got our starters. We asked several times where our food was and we kept getting told it’s coming....I asked what the problem was. I was told there were only 2 in kitchen so hey had served the small tables first...so I said “you prioritised those over us?” “Yes”I was told ...”even though they hadn’t books?”...”yes” I was told..... the motto here is if there’s more than 4 of you don’t go. When the waitress went on the kitchen To ask about the food we could clearly hear the chefs shouting at her! We kept getting asked if we wanted more and more drinks, so they were happy to keep taking money for drinks during our two hour wait....it was a special family occasion for us and we were all fed up by the end. At 10.15 (nearly three hours after we arrived)we were asked if we wanted coffee..:/ no mention of desserts as it was obviously getting too late, but that wasn’t really our fault.... very shabby Mumbai Lounge not what we were expecting. Yes they knocked some money off the bill but as I said to the waitress the damage was done and we were all fed up with it all long before the bill arrived:....

Thought I would give it another go after being less than impressed with my last takeaway. Shouldn’t have bothered! Last time a mixed Vegetable Korma, which was totally devoid of flavour, so this time I went for a mixed vegetable masala. Unfortunately, it was exactly the same tasteless mush but bright pink in colour. The mixed vegetables consisted on chunks of potato. I searched, in vain, for a pea, carrot or anything else. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the side dishes were good.

After reading other reviews I was looking forward to a meal here, however we were seated in the upstairs room which totally dampened our expectations. This room lacks any of the vibrant atmosphere which emanates from the downstairs dining area, it was so disappointing. The food was ok but mostly lukewarm which didn’t help. Service was friendly, bill not too expensive.

Enjoyed some delicious food last night here, excellent from both the very lovely server and waiter, we were well looked after.

Booked on a Saturday evening, chap on the phone was very accommodating and got us a table, for which we were grateful. Upon entering a rather grumpy lady called Ana greeted us but didn’t know we had a table booked. I tried to explain but with no luck, but then the chap that spoke to us noticed we had arrived and whisked us away to our table, a really nice table too!

Down in the area for work and caught up with an old friend to have a curry. Found the Mumbai Lounge on Trip Adviser and decided to give it a go. We’ve had a few Indians in our time but this was possibly the best. Food was fantastic, portions just about right and the service from the polite staff was excellent. The fact that it was also reasonably price led was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be back the next time I am in the area.

We visited as a party of 5 on Christmas day, the food was excellent quality and we were all very full afterwards. it was a set menu, we just said how hot (spicy) we anted our dishes and we were bought an excellent selection. The dessert was a bit unimaginative and lacklustre, it was a frozen gateau type thing. I know Indian cuisine is not big on desserts but there are much nicer alternatives than a rather dry Victoria sponge! We weren't asked if we wanted any wine, and we actually had run out of drinks quite a while before we finished our food. We asked for a wine menu but nobody ever came back to take our order so they missed a sale there for sure. Overall excellent quality food.

There were 5 of us dining, it was our works Christmas do. We all had starters and mains. The restaurant was reasonably busy. We were greeted and shown to our pre-booked table quickly. All the staff were friendly, pleasant and polite. Drinks and food came out quickly and correctly, and all the food was of excellent quality. Highly recommend their food and staff. Although it’s quite a modern restaurant, for some reason it does seem to lack a bit of atmosphere, not sure what could be done to sort that, as staff were great, so was the food. However, our party had a great time.

Group of 28 booked a party meal. put on 2 tables. The indian music was very loud, and asked 3 times to turn it down as difficult to hear yourself talk. A long wait before they came for the orders, and then a long long wait for the food to arrive. this came in dribs and drabs, very disorganised. our table waited over an hour to receive the main course after the starter,20 minutes later still receivind nann breads ect. Service in my opinion totaly unaceptable. Mixed reaction on quality of food, some said good, mine was very mederate and indeed bland. First and deffinetly last visit

Having read previous good reviews i decided to dine at this restaurant last Saturday. Was pleased that both the food and service were excellent. Our Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Naga, saag, nan & Tandoori were all delicious. Staffs were courteous & Service was quick. No wonder the restaurant was full. Highly recommended and will visit when we are in the neighbourhood.

Previously a regular customer along with my whole family however we didn’t visit for a while as a result of moving away from brigg. After coming back this year we were not disappointed with the quality of the food or the service from the very helpful waitress and most waitresses who are always more than happy to help. However we was very disappointed with a couple of the young girls who we’ve never seen before, very rude and chatty and seemed to gossip and point fingers rather than work.

This establishment has a very high quality experience, you have to go to experience the wonderful food that is available, service could be a little quicker, but nothing to worry about, it is just that busy you accept it
