Mulligan's Ayr in South Ayrshire

As yorkshire people we visited mulligans and was very surprised it's amazing a lovely atmosphere and was made to feel very welcome they are lovely people too and a lady named Amanda was amazing great service we will definitely return at some point great place everyone should visit

Went to Mulligans for lunch yesterday. Very disappointed. I ordered the haggis and black pudding fritters which were tiny and no flavour to the pepper corn sauce. My main was a beef burger which had 1 lettuce leaf and a small piece of tomato and the burger tasted like a frozen burger you would buy in a supermarket. I will definitely be avoiding Mulligans in the future.

Great value food and good service

Mulligans is a great family friendly restaurant. The staff are so helpful and make you feel welcome. My wee boy loves going here to get ‘the best chicken pops about’. The Cajun chicken nachos are also banging!

We came across Mulligans by accident my friends and I had a lovely lunch served by friendly staff. Next time we're down that way we will certainly pop in.

It's a shame that even though I had booked for food, I was rudely told that we could not get food for another 2 hours. Staff paid no attention to anyone in the place even though there were only a few tables seated. When I then suggested we went else where for food, the staff member laughed and made another rude remark. We left after our drinks were finished and enjoyed a lovely meal else where.

Consistently good food, staff always helpful and attentive.

Not enough staff for a Friday night. Lots of kids running about. Not for me others maybe like it.

Asked for a menu for lunch and finished a pint BEFORE we were asked to order...one unfriendly man at the bar clearly talking about customers...maybe that's why it was dead at lunchtime??

Great wee place, nice atmosphere, good service and staff were very accommodating.

Drinks overpriced, couldn't understand why they didn't serve alcoholic drinks till 12 on a Sunday even though they served food 🤔

Lovely place in the centre of the town, can be busy at weekends, but always plenty of room. Excellent location, has live music sometimes as well. Friendly staff, and clean.

Just been in for a family dinner. Mix 12 kids & adults for family birthday. Speedy service and attentive staff, Craig, Ainsley & Mica looked after us all very well. Food was on point with no delay. Lads were thrilled to be able to watch the football and the rugby at the same time. Kids eat free was a bonus for our Sunday afternoon munch. Kids loved their popcorn chicken. The Sunday roasts must have been flying out all day as we were warned there was only 2 left. Highly recommend the haggis fritters. Thanks again. ☘️

Fantastic the pizza was that filling the Mrs took half of it home the steak pie was out of this world just melted in your mouth

We have been here a few times, and decided to go for hogmanay. Food was 5star as was the service. Great live music, superb atmosphere. So glad we went. And glad Ayr has has this to offer 👌

Whenever you order any drinks, make sure you ask for the price first. Management are constantly increasing prices all over the place. If you don't ask for the price, you will be in for a shock when you pay contactless! Today, Saturday a pint of Heineken was meant to be £3 (head barman confirmed). Yet I was charged £5. Oh, and can of tenants is priced at £3.50 on company website. Guess what, charged £4 at till. ALWAYS ASK FOR PRICES ALL THE TIME!!!

Not a patch on the old McArthurs bar, no atmosphere although we were in early evening time. Also there seemed to be a large number of fruit flies in the pub.

Food was good, service a wee bit slow. But was pleasantly surprised with the bill. Definitely will be back. Nice to have somewhere new in town.

We had a meal for 4 on a Sunday evening. Food was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Talented guitarist/singer was playing while we were in. I would highly recommend the place

Get in and try the menu I'd highly recommend the creamy cajun chicken it's absolutely amazing 👌 Staff also great and so friendly too.

Great food at a resnable price staff were lovely great atmosphere and the guy playing Wes perfect, everything you would expect from an irish bar but with good prices, highly recommend it

First visit. Staff very friendly and helpful and a great pint of Guinness. Limited food menu at the moment so decided not to eat but will definitely be back for a longer visit

Went here with my dog as we used to go to no 8 bar and grill as it had a dog menu if Mulligan's has the dog menu we will be back although they make the dog hotdogs

Spent the afternoon here. Great staff , unusual decor, but interesting memorabilia . So wanted a go on the Mandolorian pin ball 😆. Will surely return.

Staff was very helpful myself and my enjoy ourselves keep up the good work very clean and tidy 👍

Food and staff were excellent, place came alive when the music started, great atmosphere.

Just had a delicious meal 😋 food was absolutely fantastic and very reasonable priced, great service very attentive and friendly! Would deffo reccomed and will deffo be back to sample more of the menu, great portion sizes aswel 😊

The food in there is fantastic took my wife and mum in there All 3 of us says 10 out of 10 highly recommend this place we definitely be back

I’ve been in here many times before before and after the renaming, normally it’s a great time out no problems at all but unfortunately this time around we were interrogated at the door after giving 3 forms of ID(passport,drivers license and bank card)we got past the first bouncer and headed in to the building when we were then met by the second bouncer who was very hostile towards us. We were told to bring up our social media accounts and when my friend didn’t have Facebook we were kicked out, we gave all forms of out ID and were patient and quiet chatting away with some smokers by the door and we were sadly met with an angry bouncer who started shouting at us to leave after my friend couldn’t bring up their non existent Facebook account. The second bouncer did not bother to check the IDs he was only interested in my friends Facebook, really silly and ruined the night. Won’t be back as we were met with such hostility.

Best sports bar in the town!! Great selection of beers, great food, first class service! Can't wait for Xmas night out.

Was my first time there ,enjoy the food, plenty of televisions to watch the football will definitely be back the next time I am in Ayr

Dibby has added his touch to Malinkys with his delicious food and the chilled atmosphere makes it a cracking new addition to the town. 5 stars from me!

Some bouncers are incredibly rude. We had been served by table service about 20 minutes after we ordered, and it happened to be the moment the lights went up and we had two drinks each. We asked the waitress how long we have and she said at least 20 minutes. A minute later a rude bouncer comes over and tells us to down our drinks and be out of here ASAP. It was difficult enough downing the drinks but the bouncer kept reminding us to drink every 30 seconds. No problem with other staff or other bouncers but come on! So we were out of there I'm 5inutes after we were told we had 20

Alright place, i dont agree with reviewing a place during these pandemic times but socially distant drinks with my mates was easily achievable, bouncers are really friendly nice guys, hand sanitizer was not the worst of them all 😂 Decent place will have to revisit when everythings back in full swing 😁

simply the best bar in ayr, big screens throught the front, a projector through the back, amazing staff, great drinks and even the bouncers are friendly! which is rare in Ayr

I was quite pleased with the buff before one Saturday I was out and I had something in my eye so I took my glasses off and rubbed my eye then a bouncer came up to me and said "If you want to meditate you can do so outside" before asking me to leave the bar. I won't be back in in a hurry

Very disappointed the wine we had wasn't very good and at £12-30 for 2 glasses price was ridiculously expensive won't be back in a hurry

Great night staff are really friendly and attentive.
