Haven't been in for years but was here tonight with my wee brother and his wife and the craic was great (albeit under sad circumstances) but Sean greeted us all with his usual warm welcome and came from behind the bar to give us his condolences, (and a warm hug) anyway.. Still the great wee bar with the great big welcome and even bigger atmosphere strongly recommend anyone who visits the town to call in for a drink, 5 *s may not cover it

BEST BAR IN DOWNPATRICK BY A COUNTRY MILE!! GREAT FOR SOCCER, RUGBY AND LIVE MUSIC. THE PLACE TO BE TO HEAR UP AND COMING BANDS IN THE AREA. PLENTY OF LOVELY LADIES FREQUENT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AS WELL! CANNOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH. ALWAYS WORTH A VISIT IF YOU ARE IN THE VICINITY.

61 St Patricks Ave, Downpatrick, BT30 6DN, United Kingdom£38 for two fish suppers (one of which was medium) and an 8oz frozen style cheese burger with onions and a portion of chips. I wouldn’t have minded but the “large” fish was exactly the same size as the medium, they were both really thin, narrow and very greasy, the burger was absolutely tasteless as are most frozen patties I guess and the chip was more like a small chip. I’m aware everywhere has gotten expensive and like most people I don’t mind paying for good food but this is going a bit too far.

So rude! We left can't be bothered with downright rudeness as 3 members of staff walked past us and ignored us avoiding eye contact!

Sunday night great was not my kind of music until i heard this guy Finbar, love it, going back just for this, on Sunday and ill buy his cd again because i love it. And he plays in the lounge perfect, cant wait, you have to try it 🍸🍀
