Had a fish supper & have to say it really was excellent. Perfectly cooked chips - nothing greasy & the fish was delicious with soft tasty batter. I'll be back for the scampi - my friend had it & it looked delicious

Great fish and chips good value for money staff excellent need more places like this.

When going for a day trip I have used them a couple of times so I ordered a cheese burger with relish and a chip, went off to eat it and found no cheese and the amount of relish so small it was very poor, the chips were mostly small hard bits you build over time in the fryer and should be cleaned out of the fryer regularly but they choose to fill the bag of chips with these, just poor quality and expensive so won’t use again, there is a far better chip shop in Crossgar so when out for a day trip in future will stop off there instead.

We ate here twice while my sister visited. The first time she really wanted to sit in a Chippy. Her partner didn't feel great and didn't want chips but he was forced to take them and pay £14 for a burger and chips in a Chippy! But he only ate the burger. No flexibility which is silly as hell. The second time was because the place we wanted to eat from was closed. Prices are ridiculous, gravy is tasteless, curry is nice, mini fish supper is nice.

Boy, it's so slow. Ordered a sit-in meal and have now seen circa 15 carryout orders cooked and served. I definitely wouldn't recommend a sit-in meal. On a positive note, the food was great and well presented.

Have been a few times in recent months and the food is always fantastic, had a fish supper yesterday and its the best I've had in a long time. Portions are a decent size and the service is great. Definitely recommend if your passing through Ardglass.

Stopped in on the way home from a sea swim as we were a bit peckish, I just got a double bacon and cheese burger it was so juicy and flavoursome and the wee fella got a chicken burger and gravy chip he said it was very tasty, will definitely be back 😋

Superb fish and chips, one of the best in Northern Ireland. Fast service.

Took over 20 minutes to make 4 milkshakes and 3 of them were the same. She must've went to milk the cow between each one. They were nice but that was a ridiculous wait. Someone else came in and ordered 2 full meals and still got their food first.

WON'T BE BACK. The fish & chip wasn't nice, burn on the outside and situated with oil on the inside.

Ordered a cod, it was paper thin, and tiny. Got 4 chips with it. Very poor quality for the money asked for it.

Quality fish and chips, large menu with other items too

Ordered food was the wrong order waited a further 5 minutes and then was given the wrong order again with no drinks. Then they had no coke and finally got my food after a 25 minute wait and the wrong order twice. Staff where not apologetic and almost tried to blame us on not ordering a burger. Not be back

Bought two fish. Asked to be well done and well drained. So how do it go???? Well, it didn't. 😬 The fish was very thin and totally saturated in oil and unable to eat. So £13 wasted. Definitely not recommend!!!!

Delicious fish and chips but very poor value for money. Its a rip off if you choose to sit in to eat. Seems to be more expensive in the evening than at lunchtime 🤔🤨Better off buying a carryout to eat in the car.

Stopped here on way to ferry. Got a lot of food for us and the kids. Absolutely gorgeous. The fish was fresh and cooked perfect. Gives smiths in Newcastle a run for their money. Definitely go out of our way again to stop here. Well done !

Probably the best battered fish we've had, couldn't be beat. Chicken fillet burger was exceptional and the staff are fantastic also, highly recommend.

Nicest fish and chip in all of ireland

Sadly not good experience twice. First time got the chicken kebab on chips asked for no lettuce and garlic mayonnaise and Taco sauce. Was covered in lettuce and no Taco sauce. Plus it was cold. Decided maybe they had an off day so went back thought can't go wrong with chicken nuggets and chips.. dear was I wrong again half the chips where cold and the batter on nuggets was burnt and horrible taste. Defo won't be back and the price is crazy

I ordered a burger and scampi the burger was slightly overcooked but still nice although I believe that you could get better from McDonald’s for £5 and the scampi was nice with salad and a tub of tartar sauce was very good this came to just over £10 and I then said after I had paid I’d like to eat inside then they said it would be a different price to eat in they then said it would be £8 more to eat inside rather than a takeout. Let me make this clear this establishment is not a restaurant it is a quick fish and chip shop with a small seating area nothing more. Why Would any sane person pay £8 more to for some extra peas on the plate and sit next to a chippy counter. I think this is absurd also I’d like to add I was never asked if i would like to eat in or take out. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼😂😂

The two fish suppers I bought were very nice. With a tin of coke and a bottle of water it came to around £18. That's pretty much average. What I was surprised and annoyed at was having to pay £1.20 for a small amount of mayonnaise. Not much more than a few sachets of mayo in reality - £1.20! I won't be going back on principle. I do expect to pay for extra bit n bobs but I do object to being ripped off.

Stayed at the village in the camper and called today for two dinners.. I called and didn't realize it wasn't open for another half hour ,but the lady was very polite and took my order When I returned to collect ,the two dinners were ready.. Great food. The stuffing wasn't brilliant but overall the two dinners were very very good We will be back again

Got haddock and chips yesterday the chips were reheats and the haddock was dry never go there again

Very lazy staff often close early, when you can place an order best keep on at them so they remember about it and don't leave you in the car for 45 minutes waiting only to be told oh we havn't started your order yet as we forgot about it. If you absolutely need docs go to downpatrick much nicer staff there.

We ordered 2 cod suppers, one with salt and vinegar, the other just salt and a portion of onion rings. We had to wait in the car for about 30 minutes, and when we finally were served, there was no salt nor vinegar on anything. I took it all back and they gave me salt in a Styrofoam cup and packets of vinegar. Once the salt and vinegar had been added, the food was still not great, quite tasteless and very greasy. All for the princely sum of £20.70. We will not be back!

One thing about this docs in ardglass it's much better that's disgusting one in Newcastle which got one star the food here credit to the chef is much better it's better better quality prices to get abit cheaper bringing better money and trade as I blog and review alot off shops and restaurants
