M&S Cafe in Manchester

Had a nice time at M&S café tea was good small cups for milk were cute. Croissants was fluffy and coffee was lovely too!

like a dog food. very expensive. Super poor food. the best food is boiled egg.OMG

The WORST cafes in the land! Bad coffee which is overpriced, long queues, dirty tables, and the food is so poor. This is supposed to be a roast potato. Anemic Potatoes is what they were. They didn't even have any gravy to dip them in. Last time I'm afraid M&S. Your cafes have let me down time and time again. 👎

Love the cafe. So glad it hasn't changed to a McDonald's touchscreen service like the trrafford centre which takes away the true cafe experience. Love the food & coffee. The cakes especially, yummy. Really can't understand why they don't serve decaffeinated coffee in the cafe anymore, especially with people who.have heart conditions 😒

Lovely banana bread and drink for afternoon tea. Thought it was in the bargain £5 offer though, but didn't appear to be as 2 teas and 2 banana bread was over £12.

My visit to the Marks & Spencer café was a wonderful experience! The food is very delicious, especially the cake, which has a unique and tasty flavor. The seating is comfortable and calm, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy some time. I will definitely come back to enjoy the great atmosphere and food again!

Ordered a Big Breakfast. Was a 'Big Disappointment' 2 Luke warm half slices pieces of bread, 2 small dry sausages. Three small paper thin dry flavourless peaces of bacon. One small very watery mushroom. Two forgettable pieces of potato rosti and some beans. M&S should be ashamed of themselves for putting this on a plate. You get much better quality and value at competitive supermarkets. Skip M&S...

A relax cafe in the city centre

Ordered soup. Staff didn't bother to tell me it would take half an hour. Or maybe more as I had to leave after 30 mins of waiting

Dreadful experience on a Sunday morning. Long queue barely moving. Should have walked out then. As I write it’s 30 minutes since I paid and still waiting for breakfast. People around me complaining. Short staffed in the kitchen apparently. In that case put a sign up and let people know. I came in for late breakfast and it’s now gone lunchtime! Avoid.

Great tea with wonderful and amazing banana bread

Ordered a mature cheddar omelette on ciabatta. It took 50 minutes to arrive and was essentially the same as an egg mcmuffin only colder. This is all down to M&S cutting staff. Yess, it improves profits but these will quickly disappear if you give poor service.

I have been having breakfast here for years as it sets me up for the day.. However, on Sun 23rd June my breakfast was cold and staff did nothing when I brought it up. It's such a shame to treat a loyal customer this way. I don't wish to go anywhere else for breakfast as I love M&S, I'm hoping it's a one off! and cook and the staff member were having a bad day 😏

Probably the classiest M&S ​​cafe I've ever eaten in. Typical M&S food. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, typical of the north of England. But be warned: the restaurant is quite crowded during the day, so it's ideal to eat here particularly early or late.

The place is big and comfortable enough to relax.

The reason for my low star is purely down to sandwich packaging. I don't understand the need for a plastic box within a card box. The scandi style sandwich was good and the bread was fresh.

My favorite store, a quiet and pleasant atmosphere for shopping and shopping. On the top floor there is a café with delicious coffee and friendly staff. My thanks in particular to 😊Daniela😊. She was helpful, active and helpful. Her smile did not leave the customers. Thank you from the heart 💜

I drank an espresso this afternoon. Really horrible, no taste, it was just colored water. And if I asked an American what would I drink?

Fabulous M&S cafe , so popular that I think they need to expand it and employ more staff . One thing I do notice is that tables take ages to be cleared thus leaving incoming customers with nowhere to sit

I love M&S food. I was shocked that they don't offer vegan hot chocolate in the cafe. It took forever to get an answer, then finally the hot choc mix has milk in it. Weird - when M&S are so food forward. The assistant did say the vegan hot choc was in the pipeline...but still - it's 2024! I'm not vegan but I just wanted to avoid dairy... 🙄

Good atmosphere but a very slow service. Food was 30 mins ask we grabbed something cold from the counter instead

Best cafe to visit after long walk in Man city center . Excellent place for breakfast and lunch too. The design and decoration of the cafe is very nice . There are plenty of seatings. Staff are very helpful and kind.

Dining Experience @ Marks & Spencer Café. . Ambience is modern and functional. The brightly lit spacious area is neatly lined with simple furniture, with some seats offering power outlets for device charging. . Service is largely self-service, with ordering, payment, and collection over the counter. Diners also clean up after themselves. Staff accord each customer good attention and patiently answer queries, but this causes a longer wait for those in queue. . Food is focused on simple and easy British English meals, including light bites and popular favourites. Ingredients are fresh, dishes are healthy and tasty. Portions are sized for individuals. Prices are affordable, budget about GBP £10 per person. . A warm Tea Earl Grey (GBP £2.50) makes for a great calming beverage on cold rainy days... which are common here in Manchester, England. Love the elegant notes this carries. . The giant Fruit Scone (GBP £2.50) is warm and tasty, with the juicy chewy sultana raisins lending a burst of fruity sweet flavour to the buttery bready flavour of the scone. With its firm crumbly texture, this was delightful. . The Assorted Sandwich Selection (GBP £5) features 4 quarter sandwiches, each with a different filling. All so tasty.

Very busy but lots of seating. The staff came around very regularly to clear tables. The gravy for the Christmas toasties could have done with being thicker as it was quite watery but maybe that's just more to my taste. You can't really go too wrong with an m and s cafe.

Fast and friendly service, very helpful staff

Some of us still like a saucer for our cup. Can we be asked rather than just taking them away? Food good. Knocks spots off warrington m&s (by ikea).

Nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee

There was a queue when we arrived, however, there were a lot of staff serving, our orders were quickly taken and delivered to our table within 15 mins. The food was fine for a cafe and there were some healthy options. Good cafe although crowded

Went here for early breakfast before visiting the Christmas markets. It was warm and welcoming and staff went out of their way to help. Good breakfast too

Quite a large cafe, well run, clean & lots of choice food wise

The omelette sandwich said it came with chilli sauce and another (forgotten which) but it came on a dry toasted bap and no sauce so not tasty and not what was expected, therefore didn't enjoy the food. The cafe was really busy that Saturday afternoon (2 weeks ago), that the food took so long to arrive which meant my coffee was cooling whilst waiting, therefore I had to drink it before my food arrived. When the server arrived with my food, the table next to me was not cleared away, but I didn't want to bother the chap as it was busy but expected clearance of someone else's dirty dishes as the norm! It wasn't pleasant eating next to someone else's dirty dishes and leftovers. The best thing about this visit's experience was sitting down as my back and bad knees needed a rest from all the shopping/walking around that day! The rest gave me the energy I needed to make quite a substantial purchase from the store before I left that day. Maybe the whole point of having a cafe in store in the first place?! That being said, I have enjoyed my experience and food/drink many times in the past, and will return when the much needed rest and a coffee is called for in future.

called in for a little lunch and coffee. had the new Turkey and ham hock toastie - not just your ordinary toastie but a seasonal M & S special . friendly , pleasant helpful staff and constantly clearing and cleaning tables. treat yourselves !

We chose to have Scone and coffee. The coffee was fine but the scone disappointing served cold and dry. It was very busy and the trays hadn't been cleaned properly

Now on the top floor, this is a new style M & S cafe. Slightly industrial looking but modern. Self service with friendly staff. Excellent scones!

Disgusting, 80% of the tables were filthy and covered in dirty plates and cups. Food all over the floor. Clearly not enough staff taking care of the place. Not what you'd expect from M&S!

A delightful place to go - rather too grand to be called a café! Tried the ciabatta omelette today. The omelette was fluffy and delicate; the condiment nicely piquant; the rocket refreshing and the ciabatta gorgeous. Staff are gracious and work hard to deal with the press of customers.

This is more like a restaurant, amazing M&S store 👍

First time visiting here for a gathering and it won't be the last. The place is big and spacious with a cosy vibe / atmosphere. The entrance was full of people queuing to pay for their food and drinks but the waiting time wasn't long as customers were attended really quick. The staff were friendly. I love the way that they placed all the cakes and pastries at the entrance too but I resisted and ordered a hot chocolate only. I'd say the price range is ok; the price matches to the current coffee chains which might be considered as pricey for some. The quality of the hot chocolate was good though. Will come back for my hot chocolate fix. See you next time!

Went on on a Friday lunchtime about 12.15pm. 1 or 2 people in front of us but no real queue today. We ordered 4 meals and drinks which came to just over £30 which was excellent. 2x three bean jacket potatoes, which didn't look as appetising in real life as their photo suggests but was nevertheless very tasty. 1 chicken pot pie which my daughter enjoyed (think chicken soup with a puff pastry lid) and a sausage muffin. Lots of seating available but the loos oddly are on the floor below. Food arrived in good time by friendly staff who came back to make sure we weren't missing anything. Clientele is 90% over the age of 60 which was kinda nice for town these days. Will definitely come here again.

Bit too busy for my taste, food pricey and average.

5 stars for supporting reusable cups by giving £1 off. Need more cafes that are trying to reduce single use coffee cups. I wanted whole milk in my latte and they have a bottle in the fridge. Just have to ask for it as the default is skimmed milk.

Service was abysmal. Several staff members, behind the counter, doing nothing whist customers were forming a lengthy queue. Food ok but nothing special. Water containers lay empty for far too long. Very little, if any, initiative from staff members. Not sure who was the Supervisor but senior management need to take a close look at whether the person is right for the job!! Will not be returning.

Brilliant breakfast, we had the healthy option of Greek Cherry yoghurt with nuts. Absolutely delicious, great ambience and service.

I ordered scampi, chips and peas which was served lukewarm. I asked if they would kindly change this meal and a few minutes later the waitress returned the same meal, it had obviously been reheated in the microwave, the scampi and chips were soggy and the peas dry and frazzled. I should have complained at the time but I came away feeling very disappointed with M&S.

Love it, love it, love it!! Gorgeous selection of hot and cold food, reasonable prices. Airy and light with plenty of space for individuals or larger groups. True M&S quality. 👍

We went for afternoon cream tea which was excellent. My only complaint was that after we sat down it seems that they forgot about us. Eventually however we got the tea which was very good. Great scones and cream. Nice to be served tea in real, individual tea pots.

Queued here nearly 20 minutes since the 3 people serving would then arrange the order themselves and after 10 minutes two of staff members left to clean tables leaving one person, who was moving painfully slowly, to serve the 30 people in the queue. Luckily after a while more staff came back. When we were finally being served I asked the lady if the cheesy chips and garlic sauce were gluten free to which she replied "do you want me to check?" After retrieving the manager they told me that they cannot guarantee it which is fine. She then repeated the order back to us and said jacket potato with cheese, I told her I asked for the chips and if they are gluten free and she said they should be. I decided to eat them since I was hungry and know that the M&S chips are gluten free when bought. I was half way through when I saw the lump of chicken bread crumbs :/ which is disappointing considering it is presented as vegetarian. Usually I love M&S but really disappointed this time.

The waiting time in the queue is just indecent, much too long for a self service for cakes and sandwiches. I did not order any hot meal just in case it takes another 20 minutes or they forget about me!
