Mrs Greens Tea Lounge in Dumfries & Galloway

We were staying nearby & went into Dumfries for a look around. This place was fab; it was dog-friendly & had a fab veggie/vegan section on the menu. Both the food & service were really good. I'm definitely eating here again.

Beautiful cafe tucked in the corner of bustling Dumfries. If you are looking for a lively yet peaceful place pop in for a coffee or some delicious local food, this is the spot to consider. I got the pulled pork ciabatta with a side of salad. Would recommend.

Arrived 15.15 when food being served. Sat down and waited nearly 15 mins to then be told stopped serving food! Such a shame as menu and food i saw looked really good. Never mind, will look elsewhere to spend my money

Although seated before someone else the young lad served someone else the woman did apologise which was fine the chi bread with the soup was lovely although we had to salt the soup as it was to our paletes tasteless reasonable prices

Try'd the full english today and it was lovely. Good quality ingredience used, and very friendly efficient staff..would go again.

Just paid my first visit and I can't rate Mrs Greens highly enough. Really friendly staff, fantastic coffee, and a bacon and egg roll that was not only great quality but would have fed an army!!!......dog friendly too. HAPPY DAYS

Lovely eclectic cafe. Very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Great menu choice and food is delicious. Includes vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Popped in for a spot of lunch today and had the festive sandwich which was delicious. Ciabatta with turkey, chipolatas, stuffing and cranberry sauce. The rest of the menu looks lovely, will definitely be back.

Best cafe by far in Dumfries, for breakfast, coffee or lunch. Lovely food, a warm welcome and great atmosphere. Central location and dog friendly too!

Nice food, reasonably quick service for first course but had to ask for further service. Been like this before, come and clear the tables and upsell further options. Its a nice atmosphere and will definitely return.

Amazing cakes, phenomenal sandwiches.

Great place however a couple came in with a puppy and let it jump up on table and let it sit on couch, not the shop owners fault but maybe try and gently tell those ignorant customers that although their dog is cute it is not acceptable to allow animals to behave like humans.

We have visited Mrs Green's twice when holidaying down in Dumfries and Galloway. Both times the warm welcome, service and food have been exceptional and we cannot wait to visit again. The eggs and bacon are locally sourced and delicious and our children were well catered for and enjoyed the biggest hot chocolates we have ever seen. This place is a treasure and we cannot wait to come again.

Lovely cafe, right in the centre of Dumfries. Food was excellent and presented like a artisan bistro which was fancy. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Nice welcome when we walked in. We ordered a full breakfast but informed they'd ran out of bacon and did we want anything to replace the bacon. They had turkey rashers so we went with that. Wish we hadn't, was like eating an insole. The rest of the breakfast was OK although pricey for what was on the plate. Would visit again but have something else.

Absolutely brilliant cafe located in a little side street of Dumfries. Very welcome when we entered and a great atmosphere with a relaxing vibe. Dogs are allowed and great vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. We ordered a soup and pulled pork ciabatta which were both very tasty and fresh. Price of the meal including two drinks was also very reasonable Would highly recommend visiting Mrs Greens if you’re in Dumfries.

Good music, good tea, very cute, plenty of options if you have any kind of dietary restrictions. My mom recommended it, and it slaps.

Lovely friendly cafe run by people who care about you enjoying your experience. Nothing was too much for them. Visited as an adult family of 5 with 2 dogs. One vegan in the party and plenty of selection as well as delicious vegan cake (lemon cake) and non dairy hot drinks. Clean, quaint and homey feel - thoroughly recommend.

Cappuccino was delicious....tasty and creamy. We had the vegan breakfast and the vegan haggis was the best I have ever tasted. We'll definitely go again.

I loved their smoothie in particular. I always had two. Their menu is very good and the food is delicious. The staff were always smiling and friendly.

Delicious lunch and cakes. There were at least 5 vegan options and so we were spoilt for choice. Non-diary alternatives for your tea/coffee. Even dog friendly. We enjoyed a vegan breakfast, vegan haggis and chilli jam club sandwich and a ham n cheese toastie. Cakes to take home for dessert. Great food, very friendly staff. Highly recommend

We happened on this little cafe for lunch and it didn't disappoint. Soup and sandwiches - jacket potato and tuna - both freshly prepared and served with a smile.

A busy little tea room and I can understand why. Great food, nice atmosphere and staff warm and welcoming.

Mrs Green thinks her customers are unclean so wants them to sanitise their hands. An elaborate sign just inside the door proclaims this. If health matters to Mrs Green perhaps more effort might be put into keeping the place clean? A whole body steam clean of customers upon entry perhaps? Not a welcoming place for actual human beings! Plenty of nice cafés a short walk away.

On holiday in area ,popped in here ,we both had the all day breakfast really nice ,cafe was spacious and quiet even though most seats were taken.

Absolutely brilliant for vegans; it has a separate vegan menu with loads of great options. The all-day breakfast is superb! Everything is really reasonably priced and the staff are great. Highly recommended!

Ordered the charcuterie board and the pudding board for a work leaving do. It was amazing. Everyone loved the food and it was so nicely presented. Angela even wrote a little ‘sorry you’re leaving’ tag which was such a lovely touch. I pull totally recommend

My husband & I went to this cafe, Recommended by my daughter. Their signature soup of the day were delicious 😋 Staffs were very helpful with taking order correctly. Service were good. We definitely will be back to this cafe. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had lunch at Mrs Greens, amazing little place, really lovely staff, food was so good, we had 1 vegan breakfast, a vegan club toastie, a ham and cheese toastie and a non vegan breakfast, my pot of tea was perfect, (3 teabags)the lovely lady even gave us free scones to bring home as they were closing as we left, will definitely be back if we are ever in Dumfries again

Lovely atmosphere, staff and food

Must have made the journey between Cairnryan and England hundreds of times and enjoyed the convenience of the bypass around Dumfries. Big mistake as I discovered last week. Stopped off here last week for breakfast around 10 o'clock. I had a fantastic coffee and the best bacon sandwich I have tasted in years all served with a smile and charm. The sandwich was one of those I hoped would never end. The decor is great too and oh they were playing Fleetwod Mac (Christine McVie had just died althought that might have been a coincidence.) I would recommend stopping here no matter how far or near you are to your destination. It will nourish you in every way. Thanks a million.

A lovely local spot for breakfast! The decor is cute and honey, with some armchairs and couches. We got breakfast rolls - good meat and vegan options- and hot tea and coffee. On Sundays they do free donuts with a hot drink. I'd definitely go back!

Probably the most bland veggie breakfast I have ever had. Toast not included. Overheard staff telling other customers how busy they were. They were half empty. Poor vibe. The irony was the sign on the piano 'this is my happy place'.

Vegan friendly! They have vegan haggis which is so good. My meat eating friend enjoyed it as well. They also offer a vegan version of a traditional Scottish breakfast. The staff is really nice and attentive. Oh and their baked goods are yummy! Although I don't believe those are vegan. Highly recommend Mrs. Greens! Photos are of a breakfast sandwich. With Veggie haggis, eggs and delicious brown sauce on the side. Oh and a coffee! They do have non dairy milk options as well.

A lovely little surprise tucked away in the centre of Dumfries. We were walking around the centre aimlessly looking for a place we could sit-down for a bite to eat. Found Mrs Green's Tea Lounge by accident. Its a wee bit tiny so space will not readily available, but the chairs are comfortable, and the food was delicious. Will be back soon for another Chai Tea which was absolutely superb.

Good coffee, nice team, decent breakfast. Also needed a charger for my phone and they offered two types, one which fitted my phone. Vegan options also offered. Comfortable place. Also great 60, 70s songs on a not too mound feed, really enjoyed the Music. Haven’t heard Frampton or ELO in public for a long time, enjoyed the music.

Not good food was cold and over pice 9 pound 50 for the breakfast it was cold and it was microwave .just don't go there lot's of café in the town.

Wanted a healthy, filling and tasty breakfast - amd that’s what we got. Crushed avocado flavoured with sundried tomatoes and chilli - with delicious dry cured bacon and what tasted like free range/ farm eggs. Absolutely delicious. The Italian roast coffee had a punch too...
