Mrs Fox's Fish and Chips in Bournemouth

Terrible battered fish, the batter was not cooked and the fish portion not very big. Had 4 standard fish and chips and they were all the same. Suggest they go to Malvern Road and get some tips on how to cook fish and chips.

Soggy undercooked batter with soggy chips. Looks like everything was steamed. Batter stuck to paper and too few chips. I only live 3 min car journey away, so nice & hot. Never been fantastic but now terrible, never again.

I absolutely love Mrs fox’s food but on a few occasions I have been in there and the older lady who serves was very rude and made me pack my own fish and chips into the bag. It’s not the first time either. I understand that they are busy but if I wanted a job there I’d apply. It’s a shame as this one lady let’s the team down as everyone else is very polite and welcoming

Lovely fish and chip shop and when Shaun frying was even better. Food is always cooked but if a wait but worth it

This is my second visit to mrs fox’s fish and chips. I really enjoyed my first order so I tried again. I saw the negative reviews after I ordered my second lot and thought I had made a mistake about who I got the first order from. No worries at all I got the right venue and my second lot of cod n chips was as good as the first lot and so it is my recommendation that you give them a go. I usually have fish and chips with a friend near Westbourne and we use chez Fred for that. In comparison mrs fox is up there. The chips are not the same but they are crispy and soft inside they taste good and for me regular was good enough. The fish was cooked properly and the taste good. The batter was as good as I would expect crispy and tasty. All in all well worth the five stars

Fish fresh and flavoursome. Batter crisp. Chips perfect. Very good price. Mushy peas just perfect! A real treat

Excellent value for money, lunch or dinner always really good quality. Open at convenient times, with a great selection or products. The chips usually stay hot until opened at home or you can utilise the outside seating.

I regularly frequent this place and the standards are always high and consistent I would recommend to anyone in the area
