Mr Woks Ltd in Plymouth

Ordered food last night, restaurant was closed by the time my food was delivered. They missed out an entire item. i called the next day and was told they cannot do anything. Lost money for no reason. Not happy with service

so delicious and a lot faster than what is said it was gonna be deffo recommend the pork rice

I ordered Mr wok through the restaurants deliveroo service. After waiting over an hour we had various items of food missing. During a phonecall with a Mr Wok employee he swiftly assured they can't do anything to help us and to call amd blame deliveroo. Even though we are trading money for food to this restaurant they did not offer to send the food we was missing. I find this attitude appalling and I will never order from here again for obvious reasons.

The soooooup is great and the atmosphere was very comforting. I recommend this place. Sarah’s daughter!

Delivered early, but the food was a massive disappointment. There were only 3 prawns in the dish. No where near value for money.

The staff are friendly and great! Atmosphere always welcoming and never had issues. Food is amazing. Mr Wok is one of my frequent eat in and takeaway places never had any problems would recommend!

Love eating here, but do not get it delivered, food doesn’t travel well steaming in plastic tubs, confirmed with the restaurant our order was ready and sat on the side, took over an hour to do a 15 minute journey, crispy belly pork was bordering on not edible, chewy rubber more than crispy, chicken satay was dried out like leather.. duck in the bao buns was like concrete! Entire order was stone cold and uber eats won’t give us a refund or do anything about it, such a shame, won’t be coming here again until it’s resolved, £62 out of pocket on Valentine’s Day.. great!

Great delivery, howevor we didnt get our bubble tea with our food, we rang and it was later delivered but tapioca balls were soggy by that point which was unfortunate given the price. We also paid extra for coconut rice but it was plain rice. The red curry and other food was lovely so we will be ordering again, but overall not quite what we ordered and expected.

The main guy working here (i assume the manager) was the nicest person i’ve ever met, i blatantly ordered way too much food as i didn’t realise the portions were very generous.And we were obvioulsy struggling to finish so he asked if we wanted more water and offered to get us some take away boxes and bags .He offered to fill up the boxes himself and bagged it up for us and then after gave us some sweets.Best service ever.And the food was lovely as well

The food was dry and not very warm. The amount of money spent on each dish did not reflect the quality or flavour, the battered king prawns were soggy, over cooked with hardly any veg. I would not recommend and will not return. I’m still hungry 😔

Ordered a meal Thai Green Curry through deliveroo and was extremely satisfied with it. Spice levels as I wanted. Only expect to have more fatty pieces of pork which would elevate the Thai green curry more. My girlfriend ordered the pad Thai which was huge and she ate it for lunch and dinner.

So good!! highly recommend. Lots of vegan options although haven’t tried the actual food but the vegan cheesecake is very good!! definitely coming back

Normally nice food, however recently feel the portions have gotten quite a lot smaller. Further to this ordered from their own website at 17.35 waited 2 hours before calling to find out on an update on the food, was told it was on its way. Rang again in another half an hour, to be told the same thing. Finally rang a 3rd time and was told they didn't l know where it was so I just ended up just asking for a refund.

When arriving there were no clean tables. We had our table cleared of plates but no one came over to wipe the table that was full of sauce and had bits of food all over it. When asking a question about the food, we were sharply asked if we had a gluten allergy which we explained wasn’t the issue. The young male waiter, rudely and randomly said no then stormed away. Leaving us stood at the till embarrassed! So we waited and no one came over to serve us, not friendly service at ALL! We had no choice but to order via the app which wasn’t helpful due to our dietary requirements so had to pick something which wasn’t what we wanted and it wasn’t very nice. The food for the whole of our table arrived in massively staggered times, we almost finished the food that was brought out first by the time the last food item had arrived. Overall, not helpful or friendly staff, the food was okay but not if you actually want to eat the whole of your meal at the same time. I do not recommend.

I deliberately pre-ordered as Delivery started at 1715hrs. the meal was due to arrive at 1735hrs. For the price this is rubbish. My wife missed her meal. this establishment is that "Arrogant" it refused to reduced the cost. this is not the first time. of course you can afford to lose one customer. My recommendation don't use the "Arrogant" purveyors of over expensive Noodles.

Was a bit disappointing, It was a busy saturday night, there was a young guy maining the kitchen who should have had support or someone in the kitchen that was quicker. We ordered a few bao buns for takeaway and ended up waiting 40 minutes exactly! No one ever told us about any waits when ordering or half way through to let us know or apologise. They had no signage of where to wait or order if you wanted to order takeaway with a person/by cash. Also bit confusing when the till is in the kitchen behind the bubble tea bar, couldn’t hear the FoH staff that well when placing order. Overall was disappointing as we were both from the hospitality sector so we understand the stresses of it all, but could definitely be run better. The pork belly was undercooked, was not enjoyable eating, the duck bao was fine tho. I imagine the average Saturday isn’t like this, Hoping to try again at some point in the future to see if it was just a one off

Used to be one of my absolute favourite but recently ordered my go to dish in the first time in about a year and it was unrecognisable. Tom Yum is usual spicy and sour with lots of aromatics and this tasted like sweet soy sauce and little else. It also used to come with steamed rice which I don't mind as they have to save costs somewhere but the flavour profile was completely wrong.

Our order was delivered to the wrong address, so we had to go searching. not impressed.

the bao buns were a little disappointing, just a hunk of avocado with a small leaf of lettuce and the mayo, however, they were tasty. the prawn dish however was incredible, as food from Mr woks usually is! went really well with the peanut add on. lovely rice. yummmmy

The food is consistently fantastic, with an impressive variety that ensures there’s always something new and exciting to try. I’ve never been disappointed with a meal here. Additionally, the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive; I was promptly served the moment I walked in, making for a pleasant and efficient experience every time.

Absolute joke what was the point of pre-ordering this food is an hour late. for this ammount of money its disgusting i have ordered here many times but this is the last not even a valid reason or anything coplimentary when my wife rang.

Usually order from Mr Wok atleast once a month and have only ever had one small issue until today, when I ordered at 18:25 and at 20:30 the food arrived, Luke warm, one dish missing and one meal wrong, when I called to explain what had happened I was asked ‘well what do you want me to do about it’, after my partner taking over they agreed to remake the whole order however this would be another 15/20 minutes and we would have to collect it. Wouldn’t recommend after the attitude we faced tonight and certainly won’t be back.

My food was really early, but thankfully that was okay on this occasion. I was really disappointed with the Bangkok hot box. It is usually my favourite thing on the menu but there was absolutely no spice, it is described as spicy and it is usually quite hot which I love, but on this occasion there was no spice at all. I am really sad to say that the beef was really tough and it is usually thin and soft.

Food was really tasty , but service from male was diabolical, no efficiency and really rude. We were very unhappy about it and was a shame as food was delicious. But Came out separately when we asked for it together , no apology either.

Disappointing.Me and my wife were here yesturday 30th june and wanted to eat medium hot noodle and it was very spicy like extra hot, lots of chilli flakes and could not eat. I was kindly asked was that medium and the guy was checking with the lady with specs and she was keep saying it was medium hot without looking at the dish. As we are regulars to go their we know how spicy are those catogories. One of a lady came and said that they changed the supplier and that is why. No one wanted to solve this matter and left the food at the restaurant without eating. we seen a very poor customer service. We both met the owner once we there and was very kind to check are we ok with the food also to offer sweets. But sorry to leave this and we will never recommend or come back.

The best Thai food. Tried a takeaway and enjoyed it so much we bought two more the same week whilst on holiday! Such fresh and super tasty food and friendly staff 😋 definitely be returning next time we're in the area. Thanks 😊

Had the Bangkok box yesterday give me a bad belly and the portion sizes have been cut down with less veg used to be good before.

I always enjoy the food from Mr Wok bit this time I was very disappointed as one of my dishes was missing the meat altogether.

One of the best Thai takeaways I ever had.

The estimated delivery time was 2 hours! It was delivered 30 mins after I placed order. I'm not sure why the delivery time was given as between 1.5 - 2 hours, other than it was a Friday night. The food was good, albeit, warm rather than hot. 30 seconds in the microwave later and the job was a good un. I will order from here again 👍

Food nice but don't order prawn dishes. Tasty food but their prawn dishes represent poor value for money. We paid over £12 (incl £1 extra for prawns!) for Penang curry. It came with 4 prawns in total! We were told this is standard serving which is pretty poor. Rest of food nice. If you want authentic Thai sea food I can't recommend Supha's highly enough - they get 5 stars.

I had a hair in my food and couldn’t even get a refund what a horrible place don’t recommend

Today, I had the green thai curry (main) and the chef's special chicken egg noodles, were both very authentic thai food and both very scrumptious, with generous portions. I also had the fish cakes which were fairly crisp, but the flavour of the thai basil in the fish cake was so aromatic and refreshing. The service was quick and easy-going. And, the prices were affordable, especially for the fairly large portions, so it filled me up so much. I love how their have a large variety of main dishes which are customisable to your choice of meat like chicken, tofu and more. They even serve bubble teas and cheesecakes. All you're looking for in an authentic and delicious restaurant :) I highly recommend this restaurant and I'm definitely coming back soon 👍

Food is decent. However extra chill oil or flakes would cost you 50p extra. Not a place I would recommend for a nice lunch/dinner Perhaps a drunk one when you tastebuds are dead. Stay away from Pad Thai with vegetables. It’s usually less cooked and very VERY bland. Again if you ask for chili oil to make your noodle less bland, they will change you extra saying that “that’s our recipe”

I took my dad here for lunch for his birthday. I had a chicken Panang curry which was amazing and my dad had a pad se ew which was also delicious! We had a side of crackers to share (portion was huge)I also ordered a bubble tea which I would really recommend! We chatted with the owners and staff, friendly atmosphere! We had a cheesecake to take home which oh my gosh they are to die for! Thankyou for our lovely lunch we will be returning 😁

I thought I'd try this Thai place because I couldn't see my regular Thai place on here anymore and my other Thai one doesn't deliver to this new area i live now. I find it hard to find a good Thai in Plymouth and there is a serious lack of them. I chose a soup which basically had the same ingredients at Tom Yum soup that I normally get and am often disappointed when I try new places, however I was pleased with the soup and rice I received so I will 💯 order from here again 👍

It was the most similar taste to the beef noodle soup I had in Thailand. I've been to many Thai restaurants in England and I like it the most :-) I'll go again! I highly recommend it🫶🏻🫶🏻

The food was SO poor I started with sticky pork belly bao, the buns were lovely but the pork gelatinous, oddly bland and devoid of stickiness. Main was a beef and onion stirfry; the sauce was delicious though very thin…but…my rice was fully cold when I mentioned my dish was taken away for replacement, when changed the rice the took off all of the sauce (picture before the rice change). The beef was like leather, strangely some was really overcooked, other bits far less so ( the onions were the same). My impression was that everything on the plate had been precooked and thrown together (the dish did come out in record time. Our server was lovely hence the second star.

I ordered a Mild Beef Salad and also added a note to the kitchen to ask that it be very mild, I usually order this but today it is unbelievably spicy :( I can usually handle a bit of spice if I have to but it’s unbearable. It’s a shame because it’s a waste of £9. Other food was great.
