Cheese cake was great, enjoyed the bubble tea, service was good and came pretty quickly

So good!! highly recommend. Lots of vegan options although haven’t tried the actual food but the vegan cheesecake is very good!! definitely coming back

Normally nice food, however recently feel the portions have gotten quite a lot smaller. Further to this ordered from their own website at 17.35 waited 2 hours before calling to find out on an update on the food, was told it was on its way. Rang again in another half an hour, to be told the same thing. Finally rang a 3rd time and was told they didn't l know where it was so I just ended up just asking for a refund.

When arriving there were no clean tables. We had our table cleared of plates but no one came over to wipe the table that was full of sauce and had bits of food all over it. When asking a question about the food, we were sharply asked if we had a gluten allergy which we explained wasn’t the issue. The young male waiter, rudely and randomly said no then stormed away. Leaving us stood at the till embarrassed! So we waited and no one came over to serve us, not friendly service at ALL! We had no choice but to order via the app which wasn’t helpful due to our dietary requirements so had to pick something which wasn’t what we wanted and it wasn’t very nice. The food for the whole of our table arrived in massively staggered times, we almost finished the food that was brought out first by the time the last food item had arrived. Overall, not helpful or friendly staff, the food was okay but not if you actually want to eat the whole of your meal at the same time. I do not recommend.

Was a bit disappointing, It was a busy saturday night, there was a young guy maining the kitchen who should have had support or someone in the kitchen that was quicker. We ordered a few bao buns for takeaway and ended up waiting 40 minutes exactly! No one ever told us about any waits when ordering or half way through to let us know or apologise. They had no signage of where to wait or order if you wanted to order takeaway with a person/by cash. Also bit confusing when the till is in the kitchen behind the bubble tea bar, couldn’t hear the FoH staff that well when placing order. Overall was disappointing as we were both from the hospitality sector so we understand the stresses of it all, but could definitely be run better. The pork belly was undercooked, was not enjoyable eating, the duck bao was fine tho. I imagine the average Saturday isn’t like this, Hoping to try again at some point in the future to see if it was just a one off

Used to be one of my absolute favourite but recently ordered my go to dish in the first time in about a year and it was unrecognisable. Tom Yum is usual spicy and sour with lots of aromatics and this tasted like sweet soy sauce and little else. It also used to come with steamed rice which I don't mind as they have to save costs somewhere but the flavour profile was completely wrong.

I ordered squid which came with no sauce and has no taste to it, rest of food was fine but definitely would not return

Absolutely amazing quality. Deep, complex flavours - a real treat. I ask for my Masala to be spicy, and it’s so good!

Love Mr wok.. Great food and always arrives hot. Only thing, my noodles were not the same as the other two of the ohad Thai dishes ordered but still yummy.

the bao buns were a little disappointing, just a hunk of avocado with a small leaf of lettuce and the mayo, however, they were tasty. the prawn dish however was incredible, as food from Mr woks usually is! went really well with the peanut add on. lovely rice. yummmmy

The food is consistently fantastic, with an impressive variety that ensures there’s always something new and exciting to try. I’ve never been disappointed with a meal here. Additionally, the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive; I was promptly served the moment I walked in, making for a pleasant and efficient experience every time.

Absolute joke what was the point of pre-ordering this food is an hour late. for this ammount of money its disgusting i have ordered here many times but this is the last not even a valid reason or anything coplimentary when my wife rang.

Usually order from Mr Wok atleast once a month and have only ever had one small issue until today, when I ordered at 18:25 and at 20:30 the food arrived, Luke warm, one dish missing and one meal wrong, when I called to explain what had happened I was asked ‘well what do you want me to do about it’, after my partner taking over they agreed to remake the whole order however this would be another 15/20 minutes and we would have to collect it. Wouldn’t recommend after the attitude we faced tonight and certainly won’t be back.

My food was really early, but thankfully that was okay on this occasion. I was really disappointed with the Bangkok hot box. It is usually my favourite thing on the menu but there was absolutely no spice, it is described as spicy and it is usually quite hot which I love, but on this occasion there was no spice at all. I am really sad to say that the beef was really tough and it is usually thin and soft.

Food was really tasty , but service from male was diabolical, no efficiency and really rude. We were very unhappy about it and was a shame as food was delicious. But Came out separately when we asked for it together , no apology either.

Disappointing.Me and my wife were here yesturday 30th june and wanted to eat medium hot noodle and it was very spicy like extra hot, lots of chilli flakes and could not eat. I was kindly asked was that medium and the guy was checking with the lady with specs and she was keep saying it was medium hot without looking at the dish. As we are regulars to go their we know how spicy are those catogories. One of a lady came and said that they changed the supplier and that is why. No one wanted to solve this matter and left the food at the restaurant without eating. we seen a very poor customer service. We both met the owner once we there and was very kind to check are we ok with the food also to offer sweets. But sorry to leave this and we will never recommend or come back.

The best Thai food. Tried a takeaway and enjoyed it so much we bought two more the same week whilst on holiday! Such fresh and super tasty food and friendly staff 😋 definitely be returning next time we're in the area. Thanks 😊

Had the Bangkok box yesterday give me a bad belly and the portion sizes have been cut down with less veg used to be good before.

I always enjoy the food from Mr Wok bit this time I was very disappointed as one of my dishes was missing the meat altogether.

One of the best Thai takeaways I ever had.

The estimated delivery time was 2 hours! It was delivered 30 mins after I placed order. I'm not sure why the delivery time was given as between 1.5 - 2 hours, other than it was a Friday night. The food was good, albeit, warm rather than hot. 30 seconds in the microwave later and the job was a good un. I will order from here again 👍

Food nice but don't order prawn dishes. Tasty food but their prawn dishes represent poor value for money. We paid over £12 (incl £1 extra for prawns!) for Penang curry. It came with 4 prawns in total! We were told this is standard serving which is pretty poor. Rest of food nice. If you want authentic Thai sea food I can't recommend Supha's highly enough - they get 5 stars.

Today, I had the green thai curry (main) and the chef's special chicken egg noodles, were both very authentic thai food and both very scrumptious, with generous portions. I also had the fish cakes which were fairly crisp, but the flavour of the thai basil in the fish cake was so aromatic and refreshing. The service was quick and easy-going. And, the prices were affordable, especially for the fairly large portions, so it filled me up so much. I love how their have a large variety of main dishes which are customisable to your choice of meat like chicken, tofu and more. They even serve bubble teas and cheesecakes. All you're looking for in an authentic and delicious restaurant :) I highly recommend this restaurant and I'm definitely coming back soon 👍

Food is decent. However extra chill oil or flakes would cost you 50p extra. Not a place I would recommend for a nice lunch/dinner Perhaps a drunk one when you tastebuds are dead. Stay away from Pad Thai with vegetables. It’s usually less cooked and very VERY bland. Again if you ask for chili oil to make your noodle less bland, they will change you extra saying that “that’s our recipe”

I took my dad here for lunch for his birthday. I had a chicken Panang curry which was amazing and my dad had a pad se ew which was also delicious! We had a side of crackers to share (portion was huge)I also ordered a bubble tea which I would really recommend! We chatted with the owners and staff, friendly atmosphere! We had a cheesecake to take home which oh my gosh they are to die for! Thankyou for our lovely lunch we will be returning 😁

I thought I'd try this Thai place because I couldn't see my regular Thai place on here anymore and my other Thai one doesn't deliver to this new area i live now. I find it hard to find a good Thai in Plymouth and there is a serious lack of them. I chose a soup which basically had the same ingredients at Tom Yum soup that I normally get and am often disappointed when I try new places, however I was pleased with the soup and rice I received so I will 💯 order from here again 👍

It was the most similar taste to the beef noodle soup I had in Thailand. I've been to many Thai restaurants in England and I like it the most :-) I'll go again! I highly recommend it🫶🏻🫶🏻

The food was SO poor I started with sticky pork belly bao, the buns were lovely but the pork gelatinous, oddly bland and devoid of stickiness. Main was a beef and onion stirfry; the sauce was delicious though very thin…but…my rice was fully cold when I mentioned my dish was taken away for replacement, when changed the rice the took off all of the sauce (picture before the rice change). The beef was like leather, strangely some was really overcooked, other bits far less so ( the onions were the same). My impression was that everything on the plate had been precooked and thrown together (the dish did come out in record time. Our server was lovely hence the second star.

I ordered a Mild Beef Salad and also added a note to the kitchen to ask that it be very mild, I usually order this but today it is unbelievably spicy :( I can usually handle a bit of spice if I have to but it’s unbearable. It’s a shame because it’s a waste of £9. Other food was great.

I never did a review in my life but i really got annoyed as this is the second time in a row it’s happened, I ordered bangkok hot with 2x extra beef and paid for it (as a takeaway) when I took it and went back home ,again barely any beef (maybe even less than original portion even though i nagged and asked them 3-4 times if the extra beef is there.

Got a pretty big and nice Vegan Noodle Soup with fried Tofu for 8,45£, nothing special, but fills you up and the broth was nice! Music a bit loud, if you like that perfect, liked the playlist. Friendly staff :) Would come again!

First time experienced a late delivery from Mr wok. Also ordered chef special red stir fry with two choice of meat and choose beef, chicken. They called and apologized saying they ran out of beef so I asked them to give pork and chicken. All I got is lots of chicken no pork. A bit disappointed but compensated with chicken.

Great place to relax and chill out

Had a takeaway from here last week at about half the price of another Thai restaurant in the city. Service was really quick and the food was really nice. Will definitely be visiting again.

I had the noodle soup delivered. Really disappointed. Meat was terribly dry and tough, soup was flavourless, noodles were a solid clump. I paid for extra beef and pork both really bad and a small portion. Wife had the thai green noodles with tofu and it was really nice. We have ordered from here loads and seems to be a little hit and miss but good more often than not.

One of the better Thai place's I've eaten at, especially in Plymouth! Dining in is an option which is available to you, although the establishment is VERY small so I could imagine that when it's busy, it may be hard to find a seat as the only seating available is just a table which runs along the wall from the serving counter to the front door with bar stools The food however, is of a great standard of quality & value for money! The dishes are very reasonably priced, with standard portion sizes that you'd expect from an Asian food place of this nature The Thai green curry, and the panang curry are both among the best I've had! I also really enjoy the satay chicken & spring rolls whenever I have them to accompany my main dish! I highly recommend the alcohol-infused bubble tea, it's a little bit pricey given the alcohol content that you get but they're definitely worth a try! They make a good range of different cocktails & you can choose the sort of popping bubbles you'd like to have added to the drink! They're really nice & refreshing, with really nice flavours! All round I'd say it's definitely worth a try if you like this style of cuisine, you definitely can't go wrong for the price!

It is nice food, but need more information about the food and more smile from the staff. Need more staff to serve the customers.

I had Thai red curry which wasn't bad, not authentic enough, didn't use fresh chillies. Tasted of chilly powder too much. Service was very slow. Place didn't grab me. I asked for fresh chillies on the side said they didn't use them. Such a shame really, I wanted it to be great place to eat.

I absolutely love this place!! We live 5 hours away!! and when we come back for a holiday it's the first place we come. The food is so flavoursome and large portions as well. Friendly staff who can't do enough for you! Always a smile and relatively cheap as well, honestly can't ask for more, well done!!!👊

Terrible.. Chicken was very cheap, rubbery.. No toilets.. Door constantly open as it doesn't shut properly.. Been twice both times awful..

Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere, I recommend dining in. There's two different entrances, go round the back way, closer to the Box museum and Caffeine club. They are so lovely in there and the food is amazing.

First time eating here, but by god have I been missing out. Good hearty portions,lovely and hot Amazing friendly staff too! Highly recommend this place Will be back again soon

Mr Wok PLY has not been nice for many years now. When it first opened it was highly spoken about and very enjoyable. I’m sure the best chefs left and started elsewhere. I know there’s so many nice Thai places around Plymouth now but thought we would try here again as have not eaten here for a while - still the same, horrible. Not sure what chicken they use but it isn’t pleasant. Good portions is all I can say about it but the food lacked so much.
