I went there, had an amazing time, the staff were nice and kept us welcomed, we had prawn crackers for starters and then we got Beaux lieu’s reserve rouge crispy chicken in honey and chilli sauce and chicken fried rice. Chicken fried rice and chicken teriyaki, so good. I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s skeptical.

Ordered a Chinese to be delivered staff member rude .. put that down to them being very busy . Waited for a hour to be told yeah it’s gone to the wrong address it’s coming !!! The food was cold total waste of 28.00! Would not recommend.,

My go-to for dinner when i crave Chinese takeout. Fresh, fast, affordable and tasty! My personal favorite dishes are the black bean sauce pork and garlic ginger chicken.

Orderd from here food is lovely said it was 40 minutes came early all food warm and lovley tasty food definitely be order again I reccomend !!

Absolutely the worst meal we have ever had. The meal took over an hour and it was not worth waiting for. Never again.

Ordered here on the Just Eat app, waited just under 2 hours for our food, which arrived partly cold and soggy frozen chips, was not worth the 40 pound i paid for the meal. Much better Chinese restaurants about and wont be ordering again!!

Can't believe I've just paid a fiver for plain chips with some chopped up peppers on them tasted like nothing, not only that but with them being a fiver would have thought they'd give me a decent portion, gone in 30 seconds only about 10 chips in the box 😂

Went in at half 4 for mothers day Waited ages for someone to take our order/ drinks Daughter started crying/ having meltdown had to be taken outside to calm down Waited nearly a hour for starter and for daughters noodles (plain) came with onions etc had to be taken back daughter was getting upset due to her being hungry Started was nice and hot Me and her dad Waited a further hour or so could of been longer for our mains His came out, Asked about mine went to check haven't even cooked it Came out had peas in it (asked for none) so it went back and in the end I just got my main to go Won't be coming back

Me and my Husband ordered from here and we were very disappointed. Food took nearly 2 hours to arrive, was cold and the “vegetable “ soup I ordered ( listed under the vegan/veggie section) had meat in it. I’ve ordered from here before and it has never been like this , I won’t be ordering here again.

Stuck 3hours on the M6 we were diverted off closed in both directions . Gave up and returned to Wigan starving hungry. We decided a good meal would cheer us up so off we went to Mr.Wang's. Very very good food and plenty choice in both standard menu and Vegan - Yes ! We will definitely go again 😋

Lovely staff, fresh food, reasonable prices for the quality of the food. Relaxed atmosphere, nice modern music. We really enjoyed our valentine's day meal.

Gave me wrong soup, ordered chicken sweetcorn soup got chicken and noodle soup would have been fine if it was good but too salty watery and noodles were bloated.curry watery overcooked veg not authentic Chinese curry only six king prawns in king prawn curry and a total of ten peas! Not up to scratch for authentic Chinese food!

Fabulous food. Staff lovely. Unfortunately it lacks atmosphere. We were the only people in at 9pm Saturday night. It deserves to do better. For Chinese food, it can't be bettered.

The restaurant was quiet, that was part of the reason for the following I think, it was cold, we had to keep our coats on. The food came quickly and warm, but heavily salted. Not the worst, not the best. Very warm and welcoming staff though, thank you

Food was nearly an hour late, when I rang up was told it was just setting off, twenty mins later rang again to be told 4 mins away. Food arrived like warm and tiny portions, the vegy spring rolls for nearly a fiver ended up being four small, cold spring rolls, the pad Thai was gloopy and cold, and the katsu curry tasted like chip shop curry. Such a shame as it used to be good, it's seriously gone downhill since, and isn't worth the higher price these days. Avoid.

Amazing food, all hot fresh and tasty! The all you can eat buffet is excellent value for money and is explained well how it works by staff. When we saw things on the menu we wasn’t sure of, we asked staff and they were very good at explaining what each dish was which I was rather impressed with! And if they wasn’t sure, they’d be sure to go and ask another staff member who would know! Quirky little place and definitely recommend going as a group booking!

Great food and service at reasonable prices.

My wife ordered food for delivery, the warning signs were there when a £50 order was available for pick up! The chicken Katsu was so chewy and clearly had been cooked prior and reheated, part the order was completely wrong and the quality of food was very disappointing. Upon complaining almost instantly my wife was essentially shut down. Now the best part, an hour later her stomach was twisted and she has been being sick all night! As new parents with a teething baby food poisoning is not on the top of our hit list. Overall a horrendous experience and I will for one be avoiding using this company due to the health standards

Ordered soft noodles and quarter crisp duck. The order wasn't hot, it was the most bland Chinese I have ever ate. I am not happy at all waste of 20 quid went in the bin.

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill and isn't as good at it once was. Old review: Hands down best place in Wigan for Chinese and Japanese foods. Shanghai style pork dumplings are to die for! With crispy beef and sweet and sour chicken. Brilliant takeaway and brilliant restaurant. I've both eaten in and ordered to my house and I havnt had one bad experience.

Ordered from mr wangs several times and has always been fair, but tonight's was shockingly bad. Tiny bits of chicken in batter in the sweet and sour and the duck was very small slices and more fat than duck. The chips were cold and chewy as was the rice. Will not be ordering again

Amazing! Ate in - off the all you can eat menu for £26. For what I had this is a bargain in my opinion. Had lots of starters/appetisers and a couple of mains. All served hot and freshly made. Service was great and the place is spotless.

We love it here, the kids always want to go, they love the salt and pepper platter, drinks can be expensive but the staff are friendly, never had any problems, we are regulars there :)

We visited Mr wangs on Sunday 26th Feb for our friends birthday meal,there where 7 of us and where made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked in... The meal was part of a banquet and was lovely the portion size was ok for me and was very delicious....we where also given a discount too which is going on throughout march For parking you can park at the side of the restaurant but you need to enter your reg in to the restaurant computer when arrive and then you won't get a ticket Cannot wait to go again..... Food was good. Salt and pepper squid was a little chewy and the salt and pepper prawns would've been nicer coming with a dipping sauce on the side. We ate off the a la carte menu. Portions were big. Sweet and sour chicken was ok but far too sugary. There are not many places thar can get sweet and sour chicken just right. Noodles and fried rice were delicious and chicken satay skewers were also tasty. The services was good at waiting on staff were very attentive and polite. However, in a Chinese restaurant, I would like to see some Chinese staff as well so that it appears to be authentic. The food was all served on cold plates which arrived on cold plates. This is definitely something that needs improvement. Hot plates please. Apart from that it was all OK. We've been now, so thanks but we'll be sticking to restaurants in Manchester for Chinese food.

Attended a family pre booked birthday meal here. What a complete disappointment. The front of house staff were miserable untidy in appearance and gave the impression they were unhappy in their work. The food was mediocre however the service was pitiful. Also £25.99 per person for a buffet? With a large warning on the front of the menu, stating all wastages must be payed for is not a good start. However it was not a help yourself buffet but you had to order your choices, so don’t understand how that would apply. The waitresses kept moving around the other diners serving them, whilst they were also in the middle of serving our table. One of the family asked a question to one of them, and she scurried off to ask, however never returned with an answer.! We received food we didn’t order, and food we did order didnt arrive. sweet and sour chicken balls with fried rice was ordered but never arrived with the rest of the meals. When it did arrive there was no rice !When the chicken balls arrived there was only a tablespoon of sauce on the side, not enough to cover one ball. Other family members received their main course with no rice also. They waited so long for the rice, they finished eating their main course. I can honestly say this place appears to be poorly run, and seems by the look of the amount of Just Eat persons coming and going from the kitchen, is only surviving through take always. Avoid.

A rare hard to find sit in dinning Chinese and it was very nice. They were all very friendly and the decor was amazing. The food came out pretty quick and it tasted amazing. I work up those ways a lot and I'll definitely be returning when I do 👍🏻

Worst meal I’ve ever had. Chicken was slimy, sliced raw potato in a cow mein, no taste, wet food, £22 for 2 meals I wouldn’t feed my dog, tacky leds inside and out and was greeted by a mix of the artic monkeys and 21 pilots. Also not a Chinese in sight. DONT GO

Went with my wife & child after reading reviews on Google but we were surprised by how wrong the good reviews were, we each had a soup to start but the duck soup was nothing but skin & fat (totally inedible) and the pork dumpling soup had a taste that lingered & not in a good way, by the time the main course came we were hoping for something so tasty that the starters wouldn’t matter anymore but unfortunately my little boys chicken was slimy in its sauce and probably a danger for anyone to consume, definitely not a place we’ll go back to nor should anyone else, unless like us they want constant trips go the toilet afterwards…

The buffet looks good value, we had meals and they were cooked perfectly, very tasty. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Superb variety of vegan dishes along with the usual offerings for our non vegan children. Delivered well within the specified time and piping hot. Portion size, taste and packaging 1st class. Complimentary prawn crackers and large bottle of coke was a pleasant bonus.

We have been going to mr wangs for a few years now and i never would of thought that portion sizes would be a issue. We ordered a take away recently and the tubs of food weren't even half full! Cold warmed up chips too! Really disappointed and reluctant to go back!!

Really impressed with the quality of this Chinese. Random order as I was passing through Wigan train station - called ahead and had my meal dropped off outside 😂 then ate it on the platform! Great service and the special Chow Mein was supper clean with great meat. Keep up the good work!

Very disappointed. Ordered takeaway after seeing great reviews but the food was just terrible. Vegan food is not vegan, meat found I'm my vegan chicken dish, no egg in the egg fried rice, vegan hot and sour soup was just a vinegar taste and not really edible, brown carrots in every dish, not fresh and the chips where stale and re heated, the potato in the middle was solid and skin on chips shrivelled from being reheated and had absolutely no taste but grease considering they where salt and pepper, Absolutely disappointed beyond belief and would truly and honestly not recommend this place.

I ordered a takeaway japanese dish katsu pork and dumplings large coke with delivery 23.00 It took 85 minutes to arrive and then it was just boiled rice in lumps, dry pork overcooked more like schnitzel very dry, and a curry sauce?? Four small dumplings, I know there's a cost of living crises but this was ridiculously dry tasteless, not fresh food and bad value, it's a shame because I have tried Thier buffet in house and it's good, I hope for a response from the restaurant

By far my favourite place to get Chinese food in Wigan. Can't recommend their vegetarian/vegan menu enough -- there's plenty to choose from and it's delicious. This place has always delivered early to my house and the food is great quality and always hot! Have ordered from here loads of times now and will continue to do so. If you're veggie/vegan and fancy a Chinese takeaway, you can't go wrong from here.

Having had the takeaway many times, decided to try the restaurant. Wasn’t disappointed, food was exceptional, staff attentive. Would recommend to anyone to try the restaurant.

When I lived in Wigan me and my partner used to eat here on a weekly basis and the food was incredible. After being away from the area for a number of years, it seems like it is under new management as the food was incredibly sub par when compared to other Chinese take away food establishments. We ordered over the phone and travelled all the way from Stockport as a reminiscent sort of date night and then decided we wanted to eat inside. We were told by rude waiting staff that we were unable to do this due to "You paid online prices and not eat in prices, so you cant". We even offered to pay the extra, but was told we can't. Extremely disappointed that our once local Chinese restaurant has turned in to a place with poor food and even worse service. 100% won't be going back.

Heard good reviews about this place so we decided to give it a go ( should have stayed at home ) £25 per head all you can eat, you have a 2hr table time at the table To me all you can eat means All You Can Eat but there are table staff bringing you the food you order from the menu and once you get the staffs attention from chatting amongst themselves and selling you overpriced drinks the time dwindles away and you realise you have spent 1hr 30 mins and had one course the food was very average at best, we spent £96 and was hungrier when we came out if I'm spending that much money it would be nice to feel a bit special with friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere if like me that's what you like go somewhere else because this isn't the place for you

This place has gone terrible in the past 6 month used to love thie food… now they use cheap chicken the prices are too high and the shredded crispy chicken and salt and pepper I’d rate 2/10 when it used to be 8/10 won’t be ordering again

Delivery took 2 hours. Food that arrived was absolutely disgusting - meat was slimy in the noodles, which were flavourless. Chicken skewers were dry and had clearly been cooked a while ago. Spring rolls were horrible too. The only thing that was anywhere near decent was the egg fried rice. Also not good value for money - nearly £5 for 4 small springrolls. Definitely will not order again.

This was the best Chinese food I’d had in a loooong time. Their vegan meat dishes were truly impressive. I ate here quite a while ago but still keep thinking about the food! That’s how good it was! If only it was closer to home, I’d definitely be a regular customer. 100% recommended, esp. for vegetarians and vegans. Their prices are quite reasonable too!

We opted for Mr Wang's as the original place we'd arranged had to be rescheduled. The restaurant was clean and the food service was steady; staff checking that we were ok with things. The Chinese starters were good and the chicken katsu was tasty, the pork teriyaki was dry and when raised with the waitress received a dismissive 'oh'. The heating is a bit hit and miss..a bit cool then aircon which blows the napkins off the tables. It was worth the try but we probably wouldn't return unless it was for a function that someone else was arranging. It appeared that the car park next to the restaurant is subject to payment which isn't perfect if you're out for a meal.

Delivery time was great, really fast. Unfortunately the food wasn’t quite as good, which is disappointing having read the reviews. We rang ahead and asked if the spring rolls had mushrooms in, and were told no. Turns out, they did. The veg chow mein was bland and the term ‘mixed vegetable’ should be used very loosely as it was mainly bamboo strips.

The food was nice & cheaper, but now we only order from Mr Wang's, as their food is delicious & the service is amazing. IMHO it is the best in the area. We've ordered from several places locally both directly & via all the 3rd party apps. I did thorough checks, reading endless reviews, which btw was like playing russian roulette with your stomach. Until now, we've tried loads of places & thrown most of the food away. We've ordered from here every week since & it's genuinely worth it. I hope that this review is helpful to clarify how good Mr Wang's actually is.

Looks like someone ate half my order before we received it. Half empty containers for the mains that could barely qualify has a starter. Half of that was liquid too. The vegan duck portion for £10 was pathetic at best.

Very yum!! Good value, nice and warm and accurate delivery time.

This was a take away ordered for delivery. My Chicken Satay, and stir fried noodles arrived in under an hour. Which I thought was good. The food was hot and tasty on delivery..I’d go as far as to call it delicious! The delivery lad was friendly (I forgot to tip 🙈). I highly recommend Mr Wangs. I’ll try a sit in visit when restrictions allow. 👍

When I phoned the restaurant they've tried blaming deliveroo for the late delivery but it was them that delivered so very dissapointing experience. £35 wasted. Customer service was appalling. Only had takeaway during lockdown but what a takeaway. Food was delicious and piping hot with a quick delivery. Will definitely use again.

Just had a delivery from Mr. Wangs and it was fabulous. I love Chinese food and I can say that this was up there with the best. Will definitely be coming back.
