Chippy Bar in Wigan

Great food but very disappointed I collected my final Stamp for my reward and now it’s dissapeared and not complete or in progress now 😔

The food wasnt the best and was quite bland. Disappointed as we've had good meals from Chippy Bar over the years.

Our fish was soggy and the chips were basically white/undercooked The food in the munchy box was cold and the extra curry sauce was so thick you couldn’t even pour it on anything! Very disappointing considering we normally come here but the first time ordering for delivery won’t be doing this again!

However missed an item off the order so had to drive to pick it up myself. I wasn't happen because I paid a delivery cost as well. Tried phoning but no one was answering

really dissapounted as the food is usually good but the 2 fish were barley warm and like rubber and the chips were luke warm at best. peas were tasteless.

Este chippy tiene que ser uno de los mejores, si no el mejor del noroeste. Estábamos atendiendo un funeral y planeamos un almuerzo picante, así que era un pedido a granel. Todo estaba recién cocinado y caliente, los pescados estaban deliciosos y tuvimos muchos comentarios preguntando a quién habíamos utilizado ya que van a visitar. Lina y su personal son encantadores, nada demasiado problema. Recomendaría encarecidamente el Chippy Bar 10 / 10

Really nice food! We thought we’d try here from our usually Chinese because of the January offer and we were really surprised. Great portions, proper chippy chips for the salt and pepper chips and food full of flavour! Our new favourite!!

Food is excellent. Full of flavour and a decent amount of meat was in the dishes.

If they are proud of the food the made and sent me they should be ashamed and changed professions. Mashed chips was a new concept for me but I do not think it will catch on.

A great place I’m a regular here. Very pleasant and friendly staff who offer Fantastic service. Special mention to Cindy Gemma and Kelvin who always make you feel so welcome and it really is service with a smile. Recommend all the menu in particular sweet sour king prawn in batter. with rice . We use the takeaway quite often and can honestly say never had a bad experience. Food is lovely, especially the salt & pepper mega box! My kids wouldn't let me order from anywhere else they love it from here.

We were not kept informed about the revised delivery time

No beansprouts in the soft noodles with beansprouts. WHY? Beansprouts are dirt cheap, probably cheaper than noodles. None of the food was up to the usual standards

The soup tasted funny and so we didn’t eat it and the Singapore rice was too hot

the beef and mushroom was not as good as usual. I have it every time and I don't think I will be having it again very soon. It was very fatty, leaving a skim on the top and it was cold.

Chips were nice but been put in the smaller side of container so got less the bean sprouts noodles were quite dry 😒 and you can’t go wrong with the fried rice

Everything tasted the same and smelt the same no difference between what was what , I ordered duck and got a load of bone and gristle the tastiest thing I had was the won tons , won’t be ordering again

i have been cooking for 30yrs plus and i have always loved beefy chippy gravy, but i have to say this is (and i have to say its all chippys these days) just flavourless brown water, thick brown water in fact, and i have to say that the chippy game is very dissapointing as a result of this

First time ordering from here - food was really nice. The Salt and Pepper Chicken, Salt and Pepper Chips and Noodles were bob on. Chicken in garlic and chilli sauce was nice, but probably wouldn't order again as could only really taste the garlic, not a lot of chilli. Overall, really nice and will be ordering from here again! ☺️

Last time I was here the chips tasted warmed up not nice, the barm cake was a bit sloppy and crumbly like it had been frozen and defrosted not good

Omg where can I start with this. Chinese food was okay. Smack barm bang average. Fish and chips avoid. The fish is like pakora or wet news paper. If you can't make a decent fish just don't run a chippy. Baring in mine they had two chances to redeem thereselfse with this. Fair play to them that they brought a replacement but even the delivery driver says there food is terrible and avoid it. Seriously just close the place down. You can't even get the basics right.

Beef and broccoli in oyster sauce was grim, the sauce was tasteless, viscous and gloopy. The banana fritters didn't have any syrup on them either. The rice portion wasn't great and there were hard crusty bits of rice in it. The meat and the veg was cooked well and it was hot and cheap but I wouldn't order it again sadly.
