Thee best fish and chips in the area hands down no competition I won’t go anywhere else simple as that!

I looked around for a Gluten Free Takeaway near Totley and stumbled across Mr and Mrs Cod. The staff were incredibly helpful and the food was amazing. I can normally tell that food is Gluten Free - but the Fish and Chips was outstanding - I really couldn't tell. My kids all had Fish and Chips and absolutely loved it. The staff told us about a deal they had for the kids - and the price was really good. Many thanks - that was lovely

We placed our order by phone and arrived just as the fish and chips were being wrapped. Lovely sized haddock and a large portion of chips. The batter was excellent and the chips were very tasty. The shop was clean and bright - very welcoming and the owner and staff were friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend.👍🐟🍟

Have this take away quite slot never fails to disappoint lovely family run business full of manners always treats my son who has autism with care and understanding as my son always has the same drink and without a doubt never lets him down! Had many a fish supper from them tonight I tried the mixed kebab and chips wow only managed half, so much food could more than easily feed 2.

Compared to first time extremely pitifiully small portion for to the point went back in and complained to be offered a tiny scrap of meat on a tray! Ended up having to pay another £5 for more meat so we didn’t have to also grab a microwave meal from Asda to fill us up. Staff didn’t have a clue and tbh the argumentative attitude talking to me in a very raised (near enough shouting) from the manager/owner was a disgrace, such as shame as it’s nice food but shocking portion size and attitudes from staff, so much for customer service and “customer is always right”

We have been looking for a new fish and chip shop after our previous one had gone significantly downhill. Tried after numerous recommendations and we were seriously impressed. Chips are so good, we had fishcake and sausages. Plus curry sauce. All of it was cooked perfectly, real pork sausages, perfect crispy batter, fish cake was top quality. Prices are lower than some other places in the area. This will now be our regular fish and chip shop.

We used this chip shop for a few days for our residents in a care home. The food was great and enjoyed by all. I ordered in advance and was ready to collect at the time arranged. The staff helped bring it all out to the car. Great service. Helpful and friendly staff. Great food.

Outstanding fish , chips and peas , best I’ve had in 30 years , light crispy batter with pure white fish , thick cut chips ( no grease ) lovely juicy green peas . Excellent fish and chip shop. Has a huge variety of food, much more than just fish'n'chips - pies, burgers, kebabs and Indian food. My only gripe is that they removed the slush machine so now I have to go to Spar which is about 50% more expensive.

Last Friday we ordered two fish cake butties… Got the fish cake no bread! This Friday (today), we ordered fish cake butty and a fish and chip special… this time we got two pies and chips. Is there something difficult about Fridays and fish cakes? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Don’t get me wrong the food is nice once you get your correct order. Slow down and stop rushing about.

I've had many a great meal from Mr & Mrs Cod, but due to the first driver this evening accepting my order but then having his cake & eating it waiting on other orders elsewhere, was still not picked up 30 minutes after the chippy had wrapped up the order! Finally received the order after texting the original driver, coz he was ignoring calls, the order got delivered by another driver nearly 50 minutes after the chippy had wrapped it. I might try my luck one more time with Deliveroo next time & if they can't deliver right then it'll be a shame not to place an order at this nice takeaway ever again! So, thanks to an Uber Eats driver who ruined the experience.
