Always freshly cooked food. Great quality and service

Always bang on no matter what you order. Lovely clean and airy waiting area with a couple places to sit and eat if you fancy it. Couldn't recommend any higher.

Been going for years. Best chippy in Southend city. I get the Chips , Battered Sausage n Spicy curry sauce deal. Along with 4 Belly spare Ribs and a can of Rio. For £11. That's a good meal. And biggest size meal boxes around..

Best little chip shop we have been too in ages, portion sizes and prices were amazing. Lovely man and woman in the shop who were helpful and accommodating to us. Their spicy curry sauce was the best. We're gutted it's not our local but will defiantly come back again!

Moved to the area 3 weeks and I've been here twice so far. Can honestly say it is the best chip shop i've been to. The fish is cooked fresh once you order and is perfectly crispy on the outside and not oily at all. Crips are again crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Just has that sea side taste to it. Glad I only live across the road!

Been last year and it was nice but today the chips taste like dirty oil and the savaloy was gross!! Prices gone through the roof too!!! Wouldn’t go back

This is by far the best chip shop in Southend the food is amazing and reasonably priced the customer service is second to none they are both very friendly helpful and happy I will only get my battered sausage and chips from mr chippy

Been going here a long time but will stay clear since a battered sausage gave me food poisoning, I know it was the sausage because the only other thing I had eaten that day was cereal for breakfast.

Open most of the day. Good was cooked while I waited. Very tasty and lots of it. Brilliant.

Went here for the first time this weekend. The fish was fantastic. Stayed crispy when we got it home and the chips were really nice. Topped off with Rossi ice cream that was also perchased there. The fish and chips are boxed that make a real difference. Well done Mr chippy. See you again soon.

Brought cod and chips and the medium cod if you can call it that once you pulled back the huge amount of batter which tasted burnt and oily there was this smallest amount of cod that was so dry had trouble swallowing it, chips where also really dry too

Honestly, the chips were cold and the savaloy tasted like water. Absolutely horrible. The service was okay but the food quality needs to improve

If i could give less than 1 star i would, friendly staff but over priced food 2.35 for 1 piece of chicken with no meat on it and battered sausage 4.15, sausage and a piece of chicken was £6.50 absolutely shocking, avoid at all costs no pun intended

very expensive for what you get large portion of chips 3.90 pies 3.60 and saveloy 2.40 got better fish and chips and larger portion for far less, not going back there ...

If this chip shop was ever open I could leave a better review! Constantly closed and extortionate prices since the refurbishment last year! Obvious who's paying for that! Always have to wait for anything you order. I'm not surprised this chippy is always empty now!

Finally found a chippy in Southend that makes proper chips. Very friendly and helpful couple running the business. Well worth the extra walk.

Great food. The Cod was so light and the chips had how my nan used to say "fluffy on the inside crunchy on the outside" Will be returning for seconds.

New shop refit so very clean and great staff. Food is exerlent and big portions you get a lot for your money will make this place our once a week takeout.

Actually a really lovely chippy. Children call it the posh chip shop as they serve into a box!! Reasonable price and very clean. Would be nice to see some veggie options like Quorn nuggets or pie....
