Got a grill box and it was absolutely rank 🤢. The kebab was rubber and not fresh. The chips were over cooked and solid. Was an absolute waste of £20

Ordered a cheeseburger, it was horrible. A very dry roll with a massive burger, but this tiny little cheese slice slapped on it. It hadn't even melted. Two bites and it went in the bin. Did the awards givers judge the food with blindfolds on? Won't be back.

Food was cold, I got the buy 1 get 1 free pizza deal and only 1 pizza came. It says for cheese pizza it's buy one get one free, it gives you an option to add some topping that I paid extra for. If I wanted 1 pizza I'd of chose a 1 meat topping instead of getting rinsed for an extra £4. Foods rotten quite glad the 2nd pizza didn't come

Just wrote this on their Facebook page & it got deleted straight away 😆.. Can I ask a genuine question without my comment being deleted this time. How can this be the original Mr Chef, if the original one was in Craigneuk? That's the one that originally won the awards & I'm going back almost 15 years now before the Uddingston one even opened 🤷🏻 By your recent social media posts, I'm going to assume that your business is in decline & it's no wonder when the staff have an attitude problem & run a shocking delivery service, the standard of food has drastically dropped over the past year or so also. There's supposedly a new Indians opening on the main street next month 🙏 let's hope so because this place has become complacent. AVOID THESE JOKERS!

After hearing all the hype about this place for months a decided to try it tonight but unfortunately a won’t be back the food is absolutely stinking got a half chicken chasni and half chicken korma pizza now all those bad reviews actually make sense after eating a slice of eat a actually feel sick so right in the bin it goes I’m looking forward to having sludge spraying from my gravy tunnel

Tried the famous kebab ,but wasn't really that good to b honest to how a was expecting it was nice but wouldn't say it the way food review club made it out tbh ,but that just ma opinion, but if am in the area again Al try something else and mayby better rating but service was spot on , atmosphere well it a take away so canny really judge it,as a said previous a went bk about 4.30ish today and we'll that famous pizza sure is delicious 16inch full off toppings and tast as f u k but from 3 star to now 5 stars due to the pizza alone, a do love house shah and it kneck n kneck.with the pizza hard to say who win cause the 2 of them.are amazing in ma opinion a think the competition makes each store up there game but that pizza 💯 recommended to everyone

use takeaway regular. ordered via just eat tonight got a message after placing order food was delivered when it wasnt. Phoned shop and got reply that address was not clear!!! Came back with delivery and wouldnt give me food unless i paid delivery charge again which i refused to do Phone shop to speak to manager who conveniently wasnt available will not be using again

Ordered butter chicken and rice for take out. The sauce was runny and diluted and the chicken was rubbery and I’m guessing boiled(?). Very disappointing for a place that once won a best of scotland award. Having 4 guys standing in the front not doing much except staring at you while you wait doesn’t really add to the atmosphere. Maybe if your drunk and hungry, otherwise pass.

Food is terrible at best. Been a few times after an evening out. They just serve up utter garbage. They really need to get a grip.

Ordered pizza with extra green chillies,got green peppers.ordered mushroom pakora,got mixed pakora.ordered popadoms which were in about 100 pieces.had to run to toilet 10 minutes after eating it.absolute disgrace.do not order from this place!

Waited in shop for 45 minutes after phoning in order . Repeated order 3 times to staff . Nobody knew where order had gone. Eventually got food only to discover it was cold when got it home. Returned whole order to shop only to wait another 30 minutes for it to be remade. Chaos

Review for Mr Chef Uddingston: Ordered through Just Eat — we got two curries, a pizza, naan bread, and spiced potatoes. Food arrived after about an hour, but we quickly noticed the pizza was missing. I called the shop right away, hoping for a quick resolution, but was only met with a brief response: no apology, just an excuse that they were busy. For anyone who has kids, you’ll understand the situation — my daughter was excited for her pizza, and trying to keep her patient while the rest of the food was here wasn’t easy. I was kept on the phone for about 10 minutes with no clear reason, so I hung up. Then, while unpacking the rest of the food, I realized the chips were missing too. Called back, got someone else who also put me on hold, only to hang up on me. Third call, back to the original person, and by now, it had been more than 20 minutes since the first part of the order had arrived. By this time, both curries and naan bread had gone cold. I asked if they could replace the entire order with fresh items, given the delays and missing items. No response, just silence. Eventually, the missing pizza and chips did arrive. My daughter liked the pizza, but the chips were undercooked and still hard inside. Mr Chef used to be our go-to spot for a curry or kebab, but this experience was disappointing from start to finish. No apology, poor service, and half our order missing, which then delayed and ruined the meal. Time to explore other options nearby, as I won’t be ordering from here again.

Less than 1 star, ordered a delivery and driver tried to charge an extra £4.50 , when I told him no previous orders had extra charges he backtracked. Shop was as much use as a chocolate lighter when I called them to complain for a refund after cancelling the order, told me to call the number on the app which is actually the shops phone number????

Terrible food, you would do better to get a meal from the supermarket. Chicken tikka chasni tasted sour, butter chicken was absolutely rotten and garlic nan missing the garlic!!! Pilau rice came with mushrooms and onions……really??? Avoid !

Ordered chicken tikka doner. Noticed that the pitta was slightly rigid, so I opened up the bread and took this out of it. Thanks for my chicken tikka chicken head - repotted to trading standards. NEVER eat from this place. Avoid at all costs!

This used to be a decent place. Went in on Friday and won’t be back. The service is shocking. Rude and ignorant. Given what I viewed, in the 20 mins they ignored me and dealt with the just eat people, it’s not very hygienic either.

WORST experience. This used to be the best Indian - it's NOT any more. Food was freezing cold, portions were tiny, paid extra for garlic naan which we didn't get and they added random ingredients to their rice which isn't specified on the menu (what if we had allergies?). When we called them about it, they were not interested at all and told us to go away and leave a bad review. The customer service was absolutely shocking. They are serving cold, bad food and only interested in taking your money - don't give them it!!

If you’re looking for the scum of the earth this is the shop. Drivers treat street outside like they own it and same in shop if you are lucky enough to get inside. Went in ordered waited half an hour served every driver and never even started my order left after 40 min wait for a pizza, were so generous to give back my own money. They enter every award trying to sound better than they are if want a dinner kebab it’s on par with frozen stuff out of Farmfoods

Ordered food including a salad kebab. Asked the staff member if they had included sauce for the kebab. He told us he just had. Got home to find there was no sauce. Basic question required basic action. Very disappointing as salad and dry pita isn’t very appealing

SHOCKING SERVICE ! Ordered on uber eats around 1930 delivery should have arrived 20:05-20:25 no sign … called at 20:40 to be advised delivery driver took to wrong address … when i said it was £78 order which it was response was it was £73 ! As if that makes it any better. Then asked well do you still want it, delivery arrived aroun 21:30 with items missing and the food cold !!

Egyptian kebab first time trying worth the 40 minutes travel

If I could -5 I would, they make it look like your getting a deal with there discounts but you get very little food for your money, I expressed my concern on Facebook to have my comment removed, someone I knew commented on there food deal and I then made a further comment saying the portion size in there deals are horrendous to be then called a lier and then to again remove my comment and then they removed me from the page! This is some business and they way they treat customers is ridiculous, all these curry awards they win, maybe someone should contact them regarding there manors to the customers who pay there bills , I will certainly not be back and if any of my friends and family listen they won't be ordering again either , there king kebab has less meat than a small kebab and no weight atall when you lifted the box I actually thought it was empty, my starter weighed more , hungry belly's that night as the king kebab only fed one person so had to ordered elsewhere (( I have seen a few negative comments on Facebook removed after they see them , so i wonder how many they actually take off because they dont like the comments))) 🤔

Food arrived late ... which was fine as it was Thursday payday but on opening the food was also cold. Really disappointing. It asks what to recommend - we really cant recommend cold Egyptian pizza.

Food fine but tried to keep my change - cost was £7 but tried to keep the change out of £10. Beware and stay vigilant.

1st Time i have tried here, put in a huge order, the pizzas, curries and pakora was the best ive had in a long time! Staff were lovely and service was very quick - i will definitely be ordering again! :)

Used to be the best Indian in 5 miles, but seems like it's gone downhill from an organization point of view. Food is still good, but mistakes made with orders are common. They are usually good for sorting out issues when you call back though.

Sat and waited over 2 hours for an order, which was just before 7 tonight, and as on half 9, still not recieved and they are not answering calls. Want to cancel order as I have gave up and ordered elsewhere. Repeated long time customer, but after tonight i will not be ordering again. Wasted my Saturday night "waiting" for nothing.

Would give zero if possible. Ordered and paid for food at 2355 from shop who posted on Facebook about being open until 2am. It's now 0220 and still no food.

Previous first time for takeaway - takeaway for 2 naan bread chicken tikka kebabs. Got home and no salad or sauce for either - just naan bread and chicken tikka. Phoned - Delivery of salad n sauce to house but kebabs were cold by this point Decided to give it another try tonight - friend ordered kebab n chips/cheese. I ordered kebab n chips/cheese. Friends order should have been more due to it being barbecue chicken but my bill was more. When I queried it, guy said it was cos he miscalculated it. No interest in my concern. Very dismissive. Seemed to find it funny. I regret not asking for my money back. Will not be back!!!

Waste of Time, Honestly don’t bother

Phoned for a delivery and waited overall over 3 hours. Phoned an hour in and they said it would be 15 minutes but there was no sign, Then I phoned again and they told me they never had an address down so they didn’t send it out, any person in that situation would phone back and make sure there was an address as it was a delivery. Very poor service over the phone were quite rude. Very disappointed

It makes me sick that i have to at least leave one star. Bought from here on three occasions out of sheer starvation and cheap thrills. 35% off to be precise. All three orders clearly got delivered from Antarctica because everything was subzero every time. Undigestable. Funnily enough the juice felt like it came straight out a sun bed. Sat the juice in the fridge for another hour and its still hotter than acid. Place is no where near award winning. They offer deals on their app so they can get away with doing you dirty because you can't review it. They rant and rave about their "massive" team of delivery drivers yet your food turns baltic. Go elsewhere. Dont waste your money

15 miles round trip for an Egyptian kebab and lamb nentara, got home and they'd forgot the kebab, furthermore the lamb was like leather, look elsewhere.

Ordered family pizza deal. spicy chicken and doner meat pizza, chicken was dry, no sauce, base stale. chips and cheese with hardly any cheese.

Just ordered a collection for korma nachos and a chicken pakora after I spotted your special offer for £5 for the nachos . I got charged £17.65 and got £2.35 change definitely not right when I got back to car I phoned to query and was told it should have been £15.60(still wrong) and then proceeded to hang up on me. Not a great experience and it’s a pity as your food is unbelievable and I order regularly . Not even about the money just disrespectful. Tried to get shop to rectify via Facebook and still waiting.

Paid for buffet in full for it to turn up 1 hour and 20 minutes late after having to contact the shop myself after 45 mins with no contact. The party was due to finish 10 mins after the food arrived due to their error. They shop has now called me a liar and misleading after they refused a refund. They have posted a misleading video of another party claiming this to be my own. Shocking customer service and incapable of feedback!

Travelled over from cambuslang to try this takeaway for first time , got the meal for 4 , the chasni was really creamy & tasty as was the korma , the bhuna was tasty to , the curry we thought wasn't the greatest out the four but would've been great if on its own , the chicken & veg pakoras were really nice , just enough , the two rice very fresh & fluffy , nan breads amazing , poppadoms nice and crisp , spiced onions outstanding , chips nice to and not greasy , there's 3 or 4 Indian takeaways just down from us and won't be visiting them again anytime soon , it'll be Mr Chef for us from now on , highly recommended.

Great food but lacking good customer service skills. The Mr Chef Facebook page advertised 35% off the menu during January so I went to the shop to order. I was then advised that the deal only worked through the app, where there is a markup of over 20%, which resulted in not as much of a saving. I order while in the shop and was advised about an overall 30 minute wait for a pizza after originally being advised that it would be 15 minutes.

Mr Chef started in craigneuk wishaw and I loved them until they got popular as I felt they didn't put the same love into making the food but now with the Uddingston and Hamilton store they most definitely won me back definitely a winner. Great food, prices, service and always sort any problems

Got a lovely set meal for 2 tonight and must say it was delicious chicken tikka creamy masala chicken korma rice garlic nan mixed pakora spicy onions pompodoms portions were great and piping hot delivery was quick and driver very pleasant great value for money £21.50 which included delivery definately be back

Fantastic takeaway in Hamilton. Everything was extremely fresh and full of flavor. I had a chance to speak with the owner and everything is made fresh in store daily! Great find while on Holiday visiting friends.

Come on Mr Chef do better - appalling customer service and abrupt attitude when items missing from delivery orders. Having moved to the area recently the first & second time it happened a month ago I overlooked it but repeating the same mistake continuously? A note of caution …you do have customers that understand what you say when you speak Punjabi to each other when passing the phone. When a customer calls to complain I would suggest less rudeness and actually ask what the problem is. Also when taking a delivery on the phone - listen to what the customer is ordering … may help turning the music down to ensure correct orders are being taken. Flippant attitude & carelessness with orders, dry food makes it a very very bad experience. Don’t think I will be ordering from here again. Think I’ll stick to Mushtaq’s for my weekly delivery instead.

Ordered a Kebab. Machine not working, asked if kebab was still available. Reasurred all was well. Result. Had a cold meal, threw half of it away. Visited last month for a chicken pakora, that was brick hard and had been cooked at least twice. Don't go there.. Food is appaling, visit at your peril. You have been warned.

This place was very busy on my visit - had to queue outside - that really says it all - there doing something very right at Mr Chef - well worth a visit

So I visit Scotland two times a month and stay in the premier Inn just round the corner so popped in looked at all the awards on the wall and thought wow this place sounds amazing and was going to order a feast and thought the prices would justyfie the awards to hen luckiy before ordering read to he reviews which were really poor so to be safe wet be with chips and curry....so glad I did curry sauce is basically just chillies purified not like any curry sauce I have ever tried no sauce about it chips were obviously fresh but so fresh to they are not even cook through rock hard had two mothfulls and had to settle for a pot noodle...glad I read the reviews sorry Mr chef but this is Mr can't cook sort things out before your business goes under so so disappointed

First time ordering here, thought since they win awards it would be good, ordered a peshwari naan got a plain naan, the chicken bhoona was bland and watery, the poppadoms were soggy and the spiced onions just horrible, chicken pakora was dry, the pink pakora sauce was ok though

Ordered curly fries but normal fries delivered. Ceylonese korma, supposed to be mild, coconut, creamy... Red hot spicy delivered! Could not eat. Waste of money

Ordered a chicken tandoori HALF and when I opened it there was a wing and a small leg , after calling them got told this is all you get , also got a prawn starter which only had 4 prawns The portion size from this shop is disgraceful and happy to say I will never be back , Customer service could also do with some improvement

Mr Chef was recommended to me as the food was quality, I ordered Pizza, pakora and nibbles £80.10 order as we had people in watching the rugby was told an hour for delivery which was fine, phoned after 90 mins as deliveries as we know are always late, told it hadn't left the shop yet to my annoyance, phoned after 2 hours to be told it still hasn't left the shop left if you want to cancel that's fine, to be honest I never got the chance to try the food but service is ROTTEN.

The chips were reheats and cold when arrived. The Calzone filling was dry and sparce and very doughy. I will not be ordering from here again. Standards have slipped significantly.

Ordered a delivery on 29/10/21 for collection. Order wasn't quite ready yet but advised would be ready in 2 mins. As a ways of saying sorry, was provided with a free delicious pizza for the delay. Very pleasantly surprised and well received. Wouldn't expect that service every time but a very nice touch. Food quality is always very high. Keep serving that fantastic grub guys!

Used the app to order and given an estimated collection time. Waited outside as requested, but did not receive any notification that my order was ready. Waited until 5 mins after the end if my collection window, then went in. My order was waiting on top of the oven. I asked why I wasn't contacted, but was ignored. Food was tepid and not very palatable. Won't be using them again.

Waited 30mins outside Hamilton shop for my order, after that wait got the order which was the wrong one and had to provide a copy of the just eat order which then took a further 15mins. Unfortunately the cajun chips where chips with cajun seasoning thrown over them in the box with most of the chips with no seasoning. Horrendous experience with no apologies or explanation

Went after watching food review spicy chicken was bland not even spicy. Egyptian kebab was mediocre. Waited an hour on it from ordering shop.

Liars! I ordered food from justeat and the food was so cold I just reviewed it on just eat and then they replied saying the driver was waiting for me. Because I can't answer you from just eat here is my answer !! The guy on the phone he's such a liar and he think he is very smart! If you want this business to continue, be honest with the customer. !!

Been There Worked There Didn't liked my experience with them at all. Don't you think these sauces are fresh because they hv been sitting in that fridge for so long... Quality and quantity matters when you run any business especially Fast food business.

Worst Indian meal I have ever had. Food cold on delivery. Pakoras dried and appeared to have been cooked some time ago and reheated. Biryani a soggy mess and oil ran from carton all over bag. Sauce had been thickened so much was just congealed blob. Would never order from here again and would advise everyone to stay well clear.

Very very disappointed with food. I came all the way from Newton Mearns to try their Egyptian Kebab and honestly it was rotten. Their donner was low quality and chicken tikka was cooked long time ago. Not recommend to anyone
