Love this place at lunch time, though but far from my office but still worth going there and sorted out your Indian food craving

The food was average not the authentic Indian style the female staff was friendly and both respectfully attending but the food honestly is not the authentic as it is mentioned so i wouldn’t rate it high for the food

Great indian food in Old Spitalfields Market. Tried their "The Amitabh" i.e., their meal #3. It was amazing. It came with rice, fresh dal and well marinated tawa roasted chicken, topped with yogurt and spicy sauce. Liked it so much that I ordered a takeaway for my evening meal. One of the good Indian food we had during this Christmas trip to London.

We have eaten several times and the taste of the food has been excellent as it was today. Unfortunately however I have spent the last 3 hours glued to the toilet with food poisoning so this will be our last time I’m afraid NB owner contacted me to seek more details on the back of this review which was nice to see, thanks

Had the all in one box for £11 which had onion bhaji, rice, tandoori chicken, and vegetable curry. Fresh and delicious, great value for money

Oh my goodness! Such good food for such great price and good portions. I’m craving for it since I went back home after tasted it. Just in Love with it. XX Sadly there’s no dine in, but yeah since it’s a market cannot expect much.

Food was simply amazing. Reminds me of home food from north of India. Most of the Indian food joints in UK are made based on British taste but this one maintains the standard of spices one you get in India. Had my lunch back to back days from here. Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Indian food

For the food that they served months ago, I would definitely give a 5-star comment. However lately they have changed the owner, the chef, and they don't serve the delicious chicken tikka anymore. The food is somehow disappointing and the service is indifferent. I miss the Indian guy singing songs while serving me food. Now I have finished my stay in Britain but I still miss it here. I hope that next time I revisit London I would find this place serving better food.

Had the pleasure of trying the food at the Christchurch Food Festival. We knew it was going to be good from the amazing aroma wafting across the site and the huge queue that formed in front of the truck. The food itself was fantastic and the professional, well practiced, friendly staff meant that we were all served quickly.

Food is pathetic.. I had take away box called Aishwarya and chhole and paneer both tasted bad.. no taste

The food was average at best. London being in a position to cumulate the experience, tradition and access to legit spices, I find this place an overhyped place on here. We had meal 3, bhaji and samosa. While tandoori chicken was tasty it was quite burned, daal was very bland and overcooked. Samosa nothing special, bhaji was ok.

I wouldn't recommend this place - it is a shame as the concept is very good. I tried the chicken, rice, and daal box twice to give it another shot. Aside from the hair I found in my food, there was a strong smoky flavour to the daal and there was too much chaar to the chicken/borderline overcooked. There are better places in the market and surrounding area to spend your money at.

Dahl good and chicken tikka tender. Love the chilli sauce and good value at £8 a meal compared to some other places!

Delicious food and really friendly guys. Sumit helped cater for one of our events in the office recently, the food was delicious. One of my colleagues described this as "the best onion Bhaji I've ever had" 😅 Thanks guys!

This is a review of their paneer wrap only. The paneer wrap had only a hint of paneer in it, 98% of the wrap was spiced frozen mix vegetables with salad in a sickly sweet sauce. The wrap, which isn’t even a Naan wrap, did NOT taste good and I would not order it again. When a wrap costs nearly £10, I expect to see chunks of paneer in it and be able to bite into them at least. Please read the other reviews on the paneer wrap below that say the same thing.

I got the Meal 1, which I thought was a nice portion for the price. I do not have set standards for Indian food, but my friends defined it as good but not perfect 😅 I thought the chicken was very good and I'm a bit weak for spicy things so I did not take the chilli sauce and I could eat my whole plate, feeling just a slight amount of spiciness.

Had the pleasure of trying Mr Bombay at Old Spitalfields market…..No other words than amazing I had the chicken tikka dish with Dahl topped with yoghurt and chilli sauce and it was incredible. Also saw them making various other dishes that got my mouth drooling. Well worth a visit and great food

Definitely a lovely place to have good North indian food , They have vegetarian and vegan options as well , This is located in the heart of Spitalfields, Must try is their panneer tikka roll! You will love it ! Do give this place a visit , whenever you are neat to liverpool station or in central london

Great value for what was a surprising amount of food. The Amitabh with tandoori chicken was very flavorful, particularly with the chili sauce and onions.

Great Indian street food stall at Spitalfields market, queue was huge compared to other stalls so had to give it a try, queues went quickly. Few veggie dishes, I ordered the paneer dhal and rice, really delicious and filling, would recommend and have again

Went back for the second time in two days cuz the food just reminds me of home so much! So flavourful and yummy, love the spicy chutney! And the portion sizes are insane. Samosas are exactly like the ones I used to eat in Mumbai! Everyone who works there is so friendly and sweet, Deep is an absolute delight to talk to. Definitely going back more often :))

Meal 3 Amitabh is my happy place. Highly recommend for Indian lunch take away in Spitalfields market. Portion sizes are amazing and has the right level of spice.

I loved Mr Bombay before and was really looking forward a meal everytime I've seen their sign. Me and my husband always had a wrap and it was usually very tasty. However on Sunday at the Ealing Blues festival we ordered wraps (1 chicken wrap, 1 paneer wrap) for dinner and it wasn't as good as it used to be. I woke up around 1am and needed to vomit. Couldn't calm down or go to sleep until 4 am, feeling strong nausea. It was definitely a food poisoning and I hadn't felt that terrible for years. Luckily my husband only got minor discomfort. We won't order food from Mr Bombay anymore.

Simple Indian meal box place with westernized-Indian flavors. I've eaten fron here twice and the food is a hit or miss. One of their vegetarian dishes is written in a way that you expect that the main course is primarily a paneer dish but it's basically 80% mix of vegetables with tiny pieces of paneer in it (I found this slightly misleading). In most other place this would simply be called mixed vegetable curry. Their samosa was nice. Overall, worth a try for a take out Indian restaurant.

Great Paneer Wrap and the service was very fast. It was obvious how popular the place was during the lunch rush!

I got meal no.3 Amitabh served hot with loads of coriander. Boneless chicken is juicy and tender. Hot sauce is sour and a bit spicy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The aroma is widespread all over the place.

The aroma of curry caught me to go to try out Mr Bombay. Yes the portion size was good, yes it looked tasty,I ordered planner curry what I got on closer inspection was something that resembled frozen mixed veg in curry with maybe 5 tiny pieces of paneer, it was disappointing!

The aroma of the food was wide spread, we navigated to this place just by its aroma. The food tasted delicious, the staff were friendly and the music was uplifting. I would definitely visit this place again and again. This is a budget friendly, fills your cravings as well as your stomach.

Best Indian in London! Beats any other place and so reasonable

The chicken wrap is delicious. Goes well with the mint sauce and chilli sauce. Samosas are nice too, Punjabi samosas with lots of filling.

Had so much expectation reading other reviews but wasn’t good. The sauces are nice and the wrap can do better if the spices are little less and not burnt. I had the tandoori wrap, while I was eating through I could smell and see all the burnt spices. Such a shame. Just ruined everything for me.

Yes. I was walking through back to my van and had to turn back having seen this food being prepped. I went for the all-in 1 box purely because the guy in front got it and it looked BOMB! Flavour central. Bloody lovely. Worth the driving round town all day just for this. Yum

My dish was good it had pretty decent flavor. The guys service was friendly enough but I think the best was that they didn't skip out on loading up the rice. Basically the portion size was perfect.

Delicious Tandoori chicken wrap. Great flavour and fresh crispy salad. Recommend having both Chilli and mint sauce and fresh Coriander. Plenty of chicken for £7. Excellent.

One of the best Indian places I’ve found and they’re not expensive. Chicken wrap for £7 and meal boxes for similar prices.

Purchased a Kareena (veg paneer wrap) for £7. Was given leftover paneer and veg, fresh was still cooking. A small amount of paneer, was also all burnt and hard. Didn’t taste good, was a small wrap for the amount of money. Much better options available in the area for the price. I won’t be visiting again.

If you are into Spicy Sour Pakistani food, although this is Indian, but so far the best Chicken I've had in the UK and I'm not kidding. The meal #3, was fresh rice with Daal and Tandoori Chicken woth mint sauce. You're gonna be crying with joy after taking the first bite.

Got a minor food poisoning after eating here. Haven’t recovered yet three days later. Food tasted burnt as though black bits from the pan had been accidentally scraped into the food and mixed in. Obviously would not go back.

Fantastic fresh food. Staying close by on a visit to London, the food was so good, I had lunch their twice. The veggie paneer curry was flavourful and the shall was very tasty.

Tastes like home cooked Bangladeshi foood. Could improve with washing or cooking the chicken for longer. Wish they sold lamb curry mmhhh

Flavorful, deeply spiced without being overly spicy. The food was just spectacular. I am from nyc which has its own Indian foodie scene but that pales in comparison to what I just had at Mr Bombay. I literally need to visit London again specifically for this food stall vendor.

I would say they have the best samosa in London. Must try if you are near liverpool street station. They also have beg and non veg food combos which are named as Bollywood flim stars. Quite interesting.

Tasty food, very nice and friendly staff

This was undoubtedly one of the most unpleasant things I've eaten. The advertised chicken wrap with fresh naan was actually chicken coated in sickly curry powder in a Lebanese flat bread. It repeated on me for a few hours afterwards.

Legit Indian street food with simple choices. Food is flavourful and one can spice up or down the food with ease. If you are not sure ask to taste for free before deciding if and what to order. Very friendly staff and everything is prepared in front of you. Good vegetarian options.
