Mother Restaurant in Barnet

Warm welcome even though it was after 10pm, few customers still eating, we ordered our meal and received a complimentary tasty shirazi salad and then our zereshk polo with chicken and baghali polo with mahicheh arrived,big portions and very delicious. The services was very good, friendly and efficient. At the end we had even the pleasure of having the bell ringing for us as we were the last customers( an old Persian custom). We realty recommend this resturant and we will go back.

So surprised by this meal! The best Iranian food I have had outside of my mother’s house. What was particularly impressive was the vegan / vegetarian stew options that in most Iranian restaurants fall short. The aubergine and split pea stew was so delicious, full of lemon and packed with protein! The kebabs were very juicy and delicious, the starters were rustic and fresh in the best way. Really enjoyed this meal and hope to come again soon!!

It’s by far the best Iranian restaurant I’ve been to! Everything we ordered was superb - the starters, the mains - all very tasty and the portions were large (even large +). The service was very pleasant, the food arrived quite quickly, and the prices very reasonable. I’ve been here before and thought it’s about time to give them this 5 star review that they deserve. We will definitely be back! Oh and we ended up taking quite a lot home because we couldn’t finish everything we ordered. More Iranian food tomorrow, yay!

they add soooo much salt to all their food!!! Avoid if you want to stay healthy!!! their food caused alot of problems for me and my family!

La comida era promedio, kabab barg estaba seco. la ensalada de cortesía tenía un mal sabor a la misma , cobraban £ 1 por cajas para llevar sin mencionarlo cuando los pedimos que era descarado , las cosas eran educadas pero seguía preguntando si queríamos pedir más bebida , u otras cosas del menú, esto era muy molesto ya que teníamos el menú y podíamos leer por nosotros mismos , mala táctica, no volveré a ir.

Absolutamente impresionado por el cálido servicio, los delicados sabores caseros y las generosas porciones son increíblemente valiosos. Si alguna vez has probado la cocina persa, ¡simplemente tienes que venir a mamá!

La recepción y el ambiente eran excelentes. También la comida era excelente también. Tuvimos una comida encantadora y gran compañía.

El dizi y torshi más delicioso que he probado. Su sabor es a cocinero de madres y el precio también era bueno. Os recomiendo este restaurante.

I went for a Saturday lunch with two friends. It was excellent. Lovely staff, genuine surroundings (including a sort of pond with goldfish in it and the gentle sound of cascading water) and delicious food. I have never seen such huge portions (and that includes in the US!). We all had to ask for cartons to take some leftovers home. They bring the cartons to the table so you can take what you want. We had three starters, one portion of their freshly-baked flatbread, one Persian tea, two alcohol-free beers and three mains. Plus, a lovely touch, a large bowl of salad on the house. All of this, including service, cost only £67. The best value in a London restaurant that I have found for a long time. We were the only non-Iranians in the place, and that to me is a great indication of a genuine restaurant. I will be going back, and soon! Please note they don't serve alcohol, but this really keeps the bill down.

Friday staff, good food and reasonably priced. The décor is slightly busy on eyes but it is ok. I gave four star instead of five because of slight lack of tidiness in the 'hand washing area'. I recommend the restaurant since the food is good.

Myself and 14 members of family dined at this restaurant. We were catered to and had ample space reserved for us. On arrival we were greeted by friendly and warm staff, who quickly seated us at our tables. Everything was complete perfection, from a variety of warm & cold starters. And ultimately the most mouthwatering mains, that any age could enjoy. Finally we finished with some tea and Iranian delicacies which definitely help digest all the amazing food we had just devoured. Lovely traditional decor and lighting, creating a very peaceful and inviting ambiance for diners. Undoubtedly there is something for anyone on their menu, from vegetarian dishes to meat,chicken and fish. We can not wait to go back again :-)

Went for Iftar and both the food and the service were excellent. It was a lovely experience and we tried almost every form of Kebab including the Fish. They were all delicious, especially the Kebab Barg. The presentation was beautiful and traditional too. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibe inside the restaurant. Would love to go again.

Absolutely awful, the food is terrible quality, cheap ingredients, the minced kebab was just pure fat, it had a coating like paraffin. Nasty cheap products. The service was also terrible. Very disappointing. Will not return and would not recommend. If anything, stay away.
